Yeah, once you see Golds Factory in action it changes your perception. Factory conjures up images of a large scale operation. Everything is hands on, Golds garage is what I refer to it as. Having said that, itngives them total control over the quality of the product, and I would hate to see it change. In my opinion, there is nothing better. Hope the putter goes well. Did you have a sticky on what other putters he was working on. Gives you ideas on what to do for your next project, or more likely projects.

Having seen and used most of supos putter collection. This is one of my favourites. Hope it goes to a good home
  6. As far as utes go, the Crazy has the hottest face and is as good as any utility I have hit. Woods well the old egg spoon is the longest, but feel and sound, well I am yet to speak to anyone who likes it. The Ryoma will give you lots of carry and gets up quick, but I dont like it off the tee. Generally I think buy the 3 wood you ike the look of. Taking the old Egg and Ryoma out, I think there are a multitude of good all round woods out there. When I was in Hawaii, I hit the Romaro 3 wood of actiona, and it was as hot and long as any I have ever hit. I currently have the Crazy 3 wood and a Yamaha as my all rounders. I did use the Epon utes for a while andnthey feel good, but just too draw biased for me. Just some suggestions, and really as far as utes and woods go everyone likes something different.

  12. Yeah that shingo 59 is one serious weapon Probably my favourite wedge in the 60 range
  13. Yeah, mostly what I write
  14. Yeah mate the multi directional. Everythin these days is premium this, premium that, or even tour premium prototype, that I struggle to really remember whats what.
  15. Since last week, when asked which Milling was my favourite, i have really been thinking hard about it. Was not really something that in all honesty I had given a lot of thought to. So, since then I hve had a bit of a puttathon with all the different putters and millings that I have. I really like the premium milling. New PZ I think it is called. It is just so soft feeling and the ball just seems to just blend in with the face. Whether it is mind over matter or not, but it seems that I need a lesser stroke for the same distance than the other 2 types of Golds milling that I have. The flat face ie no milling is certainly a significant difference to the premium or horizontal milling. It is much harsher you really need to hit it. The sound, well you know when contact is made. Flat face with a sound slot. Thats an idea For me, the new PZ wins Hands down.

If I played those, every time I looked at them I would think I had to kill it
  17. Aside from all that. Its a lot of fun
  18. Mate I am dumbfounded at how low these are now. I dont know how others rate them but I saynthey are the softest feeling irons I have ever hit. If I didnt already have a set, collecting cobwebs, i would take them off your hands. Best of luck with it. Certainly better to be a buyer than a seller these days

I tell you swing981 you are persistant. I really hope you get what you are after and in your price range. I truly do
  20. Hi mate. I knew it would be you to ask the tough question. I have the most experience with the premium milling. I think it is the softest of them and also seems to get the ball rolling immediately. The horizontal milling sits somewhere in between but much closer to the PZ than flat. Going to the flat surface with absolutely no milling is very difficult. The feel is much harsher and the sound is much different. It makes you think you must stroke it much firmer. My choice would be the PZ milling as I like that really soft feel. Something my wife is used to these days. If you wanted to really feel like you were hitting the ball then the flat surface. The horizontal sits in between and I think it would be preferred by most people. With my refurbs, the biggest differences in feel has come from going to the PZ milling from whatever. Hopefully others can chime in here as well as I think it is a big choice to make, especially when we are paying the big bucks, like for a Golds
  21. I like your way with words wmclarenf1
  22. Having done both, several times, I think it is just a matter of preference. Either way, the end result is one where attention to detail is paramount. Having seen them work first hand, i know why they are so expensive and also why there is quite a wait. I personally would send in your old favourite, because when you get it back you just go wow. The only comment I would make is that your choice of milling makes a huge difference to how the putter feels, performs and even sounds.
  23. To be honest, you cant go wrong with any of them. They are all seriously top putters, and as has been said, whichever suits your style, or fancy. I doubt you will be disappointed with any of them

I dont think you can go wrong with these wedges. Both the conforming and non conforming perform great and to be honest I cant say a bad word about them. I preferred the Raw Gekku but really cant tell you why. There was a great review written by Jake Barnes i think which really is worth reading. I may have that wrong though but others will remember it as it was one of the better pieces I ahve read
