Got this in my hands today. Used it at New South Wales Nothing like what I expected, or to be honest, what I was looking for. It is super low, super straight, and super long. It is also an incredibly good feelimg shaft. Hit 12 of 14 fairways, played with supo and outdrove him on many occasions. Have played a lot with him, and I never outdrive him. At best, if I crack it and he misses we are level. Not today. Cant wait to try it again tomorrow. Do I like it, yes I do. Am I changing it........Not likely.

Thats funny I cant think of anything to beat that.
  4. Most people, if not all, who have played these would not be surprised.

Yeah, even my shaft is not worth 100k
  6. You will have to bear with me as am busy and computer issues at home and work. My lovely assistant Ashlee is adding the photos and I will do the post later from my IPad As I have mentioned, this has been a hard post to write. Computer problems and also exactly how to write it. So Iwill break it down into 3 parts, Delivery, Performance and then nead to head against the Epon 316. I was fortunate enough to sell a kidney, what the hell I have another, a spare. What better way to spend my windfall. a new set of irons. I desperately need another set. The Modart special totally machined irons took my fancy. Remember this is before any of their stuff was released, so we did nothave the benefit of even seeing those smick looking woods. I still had one spare spot in my big Crazy Bag, my bag of tricks. They were ordered, no fanfare, simple and easy just as it always is/was with Tario and TSG. 24^ 4 iron with 4^ increments to give a PW of 48 My standard order, half inch longer, lie angles blah blah blah Crazy C Taper shafts in SR flex, red grips ( theres just something about red), my initials and get rid of the Made In Japan if possible. All standard for me. Simple, like me I dont know if it is vanity, but I do like my name or initials on this custom gear. I think it goes back to my troubled childhood, where it seemed to be the only way to stop our original inhabitants from stealing my stuff. Those super intelligent TSGers know its because it means I cant sell anything. Maybe I am not as silly as you think Fot he first time ever I had hesitation. These are supposedly the softest purest heads possible..... And C Tapers. Dont get me wrong, I have no doubt they are the best shafts for me. I have 3 sets in different irons. But they are a bit harsh, I dont think there are any harsher, except maybe my Grade 2 teacher, maybe I dont ever get that pure silky smooth feeling, ever. To me they are more like bludgeons. maybe the Russians should use them in their next seal cull So I made the decision to change to graphites. Lets take advantage of these pure soft heads. MCI, Crazy, there are plenty MCI got the nod and the order was changed Now we wait and wait, not quite a Buchi wait though Oh Boy this is gunna be good Surprise, and I still have the 52,56 and 60 wedges to go. Boy, I don't need any more surprises like that. Must admit I have had a similar shock opening a box, my first year at uni, strathpine Drive In, Edwina, knockers to die for( back then the only silicon was in the hardware store), back seat, very cosy.... Only to find Edwina was really Edward. Almost the same feeling, well no, nothing like it really But you get my drift What to do, what to do. And yes Edward walked home

Firstly I dont have this yet, will play it for the first time next Friday. Second, it is not the 100k shaft.
  8. Am intending to do a review on these sorts of things. Hopefully Chris doesnt steal my thunder, but perhaps you guys should wait and read it Got problems with my home computer at the moment, and have had for a couple of weeks so havent been able to post
  9. Got this yesterday, and as usual it looks stunning in the flesh. What Golds does to putters, both mine and others is sometimes mind boggling. I too have a big wrap for them and having seen the work of many other refurbishers and so called putter makers, there is no comparison. Naturally, it is darn expensive, anyone venturing elsewhere needs to think twice. Fortunately, and expensively, I have stuck solely to Golds. One of our learned colleagues said to me the other day that he might send some of his crappy putters elsewhere, rather than get Sasaya to work on them. Not worth the coin. I commented that if they were not good enoigh to go to Golds, them maybe they dont deserve a place in his collection.
  10. Its a beautiful putter and I can see why Sasaya himself likes it. Thats quite a wrap Happy those boots are full too, justba shame I didnt get to see it a couple of weeks ago Hoping that you will do another Golds project soon. Believe me, you dont tire of it.

Hi mate To the best of my knowledge Seven Dreamers has 2 options. Take the 130k option out as it is simply a wall ornament. Chris and the TSG guys know much mkre than me and hopefully Chris will chime in and correct me if I am wrong, and also with many more details than I have. Option 1 is to give a heap of information by answering a heap of questions. they then choose a shaft from their range to give you either Distance, Control or a balanced shaft. ( as in best overall ) for you based on these questions Option 2 is where you have a fitting at their place, they analyse the data and then you can choose again from those 3 shaft options. This shaft is made from scratch by them to fit both your swing numbers and also the head it is going in to. Thisis the option that I chose, and will write about the experience in the other thread in the next day or so. Certainly neither of these options is anywhere near 130k. You need to remove a couple of zeros
  17. Ian, you made a good choice with the MR23 One of my favourites, got one set in copper fron the BST and another set well, they are even better.

Iwill do a post soon about my seven dreamers fitting etc. Unfortunately I have to play a game of cricket today and that will probably mean I will be in intensive care for quite some time. Also have an interesting story on some Modart special CNCmilled irons if you guys want to hear it. And yes my valet has already said " I hope I dont lose it" And no, I have never played a Driver shaft that light. Have used them but never really liked them..... Yet This one built to my swing characteristics or more bluntly to my swing flaws
  19. I love looking at all the photos of Golds putters in progress, be they mine or someone elses. Its what gives us ideas on what we may do. Though, it is just that bit more special when it is your own putter. Cant wait to try this.
  20. Hi Nob Have never made a significant chenge like this, or not really. Generally I switch clubs like I change my undies. Pretty much hit something different every time I play. Just takes time to get used to the switch. I would take notice of chiros thoughts. Like you, I cant play a solid 18. Guys like him can and do.

Yeah Guys S Yard 388 10.5 head' Masda Grip and Seven Dreamers custom shaft designed and made from scratch, and it is the balanced option. That is, best design overall for distance and control. This photo is my only contact with it so far, and from initial reports, it is a beauty If you guys want to know the story etc, let me know, just dont want to bore you guys to death.
