Advances in driver tech?
In my opinion there is quite a big diffrence in a 7 year old driver compared to now. I think you would find they are much more forgiving and probably longer, but definately more forgiving. The technology is now maxed out and I believe the only differences are aesthetic. Everyone has the technology and are using it. As we are seeing, shaft technology is pretty much where improvements will be made. But even that is only a matter of time before they make some rules to limit it. Best of luck

Ryoma Beyond Power Driver & New 2015 Utility
Looks cool I thought the Maxima was a long, long driver, just could not hit it straight. As you have mentioned, I think it was a shaft issue and most of us that did not get on with it, just couldnt get the shaft combo right. I am one of them. Those that could get that right, loved it

Final Driver Choice - Would appreciate your feedback
From that list from what I have hit I would say the 435 again. Wish I had hit the 535 as it is getting some great reviews, But I have not personally played it. My initial choice was the Egg but I do remember you having some issues with some Drivers in the past being closed face. The Egg would have been my first choice for you, but every Egg Driver I have ever seen sets up closed. Or at least it appears closed to my eye. I love the S yard 388, but am not sure how it would go for you, and it is not on your list Shaft wise the Diamana X would be a good fit for you, or I love the Quaddra shafts as they are quite anti left But it is hard with your swing speed. Good luck

Have you played any of these heads before and how did you find them, in particular the Egg 1

unshafted super wedge heads
Yeah mate, rules are rules. Maybe you can find some time to do this properly. May I suggest you stop writing about all the stuff you try, all the comparisons and informative stuff you do, as well as stop replying to messages and emails asking comparisons and advice. At the moment, there are plenty of others writing about stuff I guess this would free up a considerable amount of time, and you can do this correctly

blade choices of recent times ............
Up until recently the Yonex were my go to blade. I loved them and actually recommended them to a few. Sadly, they did not live up to the wraps I gave them. Great to see someone else liking them. I have never played those shafts, so might have to keep my eye out for a set in the future. Might be just me, but can someone find a bad set amongst these. I cant.

Seven Wedges
cool Very nice looking Hope they go well for you

blade choices of recent times ............
Yeah the pro 100's, a great blade. And PRGR, how under rated are they as a brand, and not just their irons. And I forgot, The A Grind just on looks alone

Is there an advantage to using wedge specific shafts (that match weight & ball flight to your iron shafts) over just using your iron shafts?
MjrD I have wedge specific shafts in some and shafts to match my iron sets in others. For me, they play completely differently. I actually prefer the iron shafts in my wedges, though it has taken a long time for me to think that. They are just so different, you should shaft up a set and just see how you like it. As far as ads and disads, Chris would be the one to ask. Also, your swing speed is faster then my car, so I can only guess at the outcome. I would imagine you would get different results than most of us. Good luck

blade choices of recent times ............
I cant say many negatives about most of these. They really are all good looking blades. Agree that the Srixons have not had a lot of commentary. I do have a set, but really have not played them enough to write a proper review. I can say that on the limited amount of game time they have had, I really like them. I will post a review once I have played them more, and importantly under a lot of different conditions. In fact, I will put them in my bag and play them for the next couple of weeks. Hard to do, as as I have been playing the Masda, Crazys and Buchis. Boy I like all 3, in particular the Masda. I think they are my favourites.

blade choices of recent times ............
The Crazy blades are a nice set as you would expect. I have actually started playing mine again. I really like them. I like the Buchis and the Masdas more though. I am a bit anti crazy blades simply because they are almost exact replicas of the Kyoei V Muscles. Extremely small difference in leading edge relief is the only difference. I think for the premium price you pay for them they should be a little more original.

blade choices of recent times ............
Those Srixons are a really nice blade and they do play as good as they look. As you know I practically "stole" a set and I do really like them. The only other new blade that I liked the look of was the Honma ones. All the ones pictured are nice irons. Though have not tried the Miura or the Fourteens.

More Pics from the 2015 Japan Golf Fair
I must admit when I have been there, the OnOff stand was my favourite. Simple, very understated and not overwhelming at all. Looks similar this year. Wish I had been there again this year. Great photos Chris

Seven Dreamers Shafts Update
Excellent to know which heads they find perform the best. Any chance you can get them to give you a few more that they find work well. May make it easier for anyone thinking of a SD shaft. I know, I found the choice of head to be an incredibly hard decision. With regards to the 200 bucks, I have to agree to disagree with you. For what you are paying it was a nice option for buyers. It is hard to take something away once you have started. If there have been no problems, I cannot see a reason for them to charge it. It has always been my intention to get another SD done with another 388 head to get a higher launch. I doubt that will happen now.

Seven Dreamers Shafts Update
Is it for both the haute type and questionnaire one. Definately better than no returns, but dont forget these are more expensive than a bag of peanuts. From what I have heard the SD shafts have just given no problems, failures are rare. I would take it that this may not be the case. If it was not a problem then there would be no need to charge. Obviously the returns are eating in to their profit margins. I certainly hope TSG is going in to bat to get it removed

Seven Dreamers Shafts Update
As everyone knows I am a big SD fan. However, if I had to pay for them to replace a shaft that did not work, then you know where they can stick their shaft. I certainly would not get another one, under those conditions Particularly, given that I have read that it hardly ever happens anyway., that all are happy with the shaft

Seven Dreamers Shafts Update
Yeah mate , first I have ever heard of it. certauinly no mention of it was ever made to me so it must be a new thing

Seven Dreamers Shafts Update
Just out of interest what heads you choose and what options. Also when I had the haute one done, there was no mention of the 200 fee.
