WTB: Tourstage X-Drive 705 10.5* Head
the 705 are better made in my opinion. Still Endo made back then you should be able find one for cheap.

Looking for a new 3 wood and hybrid and driving iron. Suggestions please!
Zodia OZ Ti FW is my new friend. I am getting around 265yrd to 270yrd overall distance. Only got 250 with my Epon. Very forgiving both on and off the tee. Will be using this off the tee when my driver is off. Highly recommended!

Fantastic session at 7D
OK quick range session with my 7D Ver. S 9* / Grandista combo . Distance wise I am getting around 10 yards more carry than my AF153 9.5* / AAA combo measured on my Yupitel Atlas. Trajectory is lower with the 7D / Grandista and looks like it ls rolling out much more than my 153 / AAA. Small draw to straight ball flight. Very very very tight dispersion. I'd say the overall distance gain might be close to 15 or 20 yards given that I am getting more roll. I'll have to get on a Trackman to get more accurate measures. Maybe this is still my honeymoon period , but the 46.5" length is not bothering me at all so far and the D9 SW is not causing any issues. What's most amazing is how comfortable it felt to swing from the get go. Usually it takes me at least a few range sessions to adjust to a new driver to hit it at the middle of the face. Really feels familiar probably because its designed to fit my swing and timing. So far so good!! I feel pretty confident that I can get more out of this driver as I get used to it more. I also took out my Zodia OZ Ti-FW out for a spin as well. The head is big and flat. More forgiving than my 202HT. I set this up at 44" to compliment my 46.5" driver. Shaft is the Basileus Z FW 75 Stiff. Consistently getting 10 to 15 yards more carry distance than my Epon 202HT. Looks like this Zodia OZ 3W is taking the Ace spot in my bag. 202HT will be my backup

That RMX is a super deal! shouldn't last long. Were they Black oxide or Boron?

buchi vs200 - what are the custom options?
I'd call them "Neo Blades!" Yamaha '13 Tour Model, and now Mizuno MP5 I think fall into this category. Blades with some design aspects of CB built in for added forgiveness. My opinion is that these are perfect for someone with fairly good ball striking skills who might be looking for a good blend of workability but do not want to give up the forgiveness of a CB.

Wow, how did you get the weight so high? factory ? or did you have a builder hot melt or something?

off the market
I used the 902 as well and for me I would occasionally hit it left and that's why I switched to 903 hybrids. I use the 202HT and it is very forgiving. Not sure how it compares to the normal 202 as I never tried it

off the market
If anyone is in the market for a forgiving hybrid that does not go left , this is it! With such a stable shaft, I can just imagine this combo packs high reliability along with performance.

Next time you go to Japan pick these up...
nobmontana replied to TourSpecGolfer's post in a topic in Out of Bounds: Lifestyle, Luxury, Autos, Hobbies, High Tech Geari think these are whats called in ear monitors and yes, professionals use it on stage so they can hear what goes into the mixer without all the screaming and craziness from the audience. gets really good isolation of outer noise. best pair of earphones i have are the Etymotic ER4 . They get pretty good isolation too but the ones Chris mentions actually custom mold the earpiece to perfectly fit your ear canal. near perfect isolation as a result.

Looking for a new 3 wood and hybrid and driving iron. Suggestions please!
Have not had the chance to hit it yet, but I got the Zodia OZ Ti FW 15 deg and from the looks of it may be easier than my Epon 202HT Epon 202HT so far has been the easiest for me. Very shallow and easy to hit. It goes really straight too! Ti heads on the other hand are not the best when it comes to feel. My experience has been harder feel off the face compared to a maraging steel faced head.

Epon 102 vs Miura SIT
Only know the 102. but I didn't think the 102 was that forgiving. If you are looking for forgiveness, AF152 or AF153 are better choices.

Grandista RS-001 Driver Review
7D did actual measurements of my Grandista head as part of the shaft design and the measured dimensions actually matched up very tightly with the engraved specs. ( except for the weight , obviously ) Good design , Good manufacturing and quality control , I'd say.

Fantastic session at 7D
they actually don't use cpm as a measure of flex. Would be interesting to get it measured though.

nobmontana replied to TourSpecGolfer's post in a topic in Out of Bounds: Lifestyle, Luxury, Autos, Hobbies, High Tech GearSweet! I had a Ducati 851 and then a Bimota DB2 while in Japan. Up in the Hakone mountains pretty much every weekend. When I moved to Montana, no local Ducati delaers... so i had a couple of Kawi's, a ZRX1100 wiith Akra Ti pipes and then and a Z1000 but we have no curvy roads here .. so I mostly used it for commuting. Wanting to get a classic Duc 900SS or something for those occasional urges to ride.

What other hobby do you have that you...
nobmontana replied to TourSpecGolfer's post in a topic in Out of Bounds: Lifestyle, Luxury, Autos, Hobbies, High Tech GearMy hobbies have jumped around thru the years. For many years it has been riding and modding motorcycles ... but I quit riding at age 42 ( "Yakudoshi" https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Yakudoshi ) to avoid any unlucky events while riding. My love of Carbon Fiber and Ti products roots back to this hobby. Then Headphones for a while... "Headroom" is headquartered in Bozeman, MT !! for those who know what they are. Built my own CMOY headphone amp in an Altoid tin can. This hobby did not last too long. Not enough Carbon or Ti ( just now getting back into listening to Hi Res music with my Sony MDR-CD900ST headphones. ) Then I turned to Bicycles and modding .... bought a few Keirin fixed gear bikes and even learned to lace wheels... Still have one Keirin bike with a "Presto" frame that was originally built for an "S" class Keirin racer. Full NJS components on this one. I love steel lugged frames. Also have a Schwinn Paramount 70th Anniv frame sitting in a box in my garage. My main road bike now is a Merlin Cyrene Ti pimped up with some nice Ti and Carbon components from a few years back. 5 years ago re-started golfing.. have not looked back since! I get lots of exposure to Ti and Carbon/graphite products with this hobby! Looking back, there seems to be a common theme. I think I have some fetish with specialized material like Titanium, Carbon Fiber, Carbon Steel, Leather ... I am now looking to see if someone can build a Stand bag and Headcovers using Kevlar cloth. World's first truly "bullet proof" golf bag..... :)
