Supo67 Review's the Fourteen DT111 & Hi610h
Stewy, how in the world can you store those great JDM clubs in a .........Brosnan cart bag? Shame on you. Pete P.S. Looks like I won't be staying in Narita next week so we may have to take a rain check on our game at Narita Country club. Still keen on the Yamaha with the Fire express or the Kai'li. Hope to get up there soon.

FS - Epon 101IP with Diamana Stinger prototype
Hi all, need to reluctantly sell my beloved Black beauty to fund other purchases! The club in question is a Epon AF 101 IP (limited edition black face) 9.5* in conservative 8.5/10 condition (minor face and sole wear which is a trait of the IP coating). It is shafted with a rare Diamana Stinger prototype 'X' flex all Boron shaft (SST Pured). This shaft is the top shaft that Diamana make and retailed at $900 new. It plays at 45" in this head and is slightly softer than X flex (267cpm's). The shaft is in excellent condition and has only been fitted by high quality club fitters. The grip is a new Golf Pride Tour velvet and the club comes with an Epon Headcover. I will sell the club complete for $675 plus postage from Australia. If you reside in Japan I will be in Tokyo ( Hong Kong and Singapore as well) in early April and can bring it with me to save postage. I will sell the head separately for $400 plus postage and the shaft separately for $300 plus postage. This is a club of the highest quality! Regards, Pete P.S. A proportion of this will be donated to the Red Cross for the Japan Disaster Relief!

Rocked by a 8.8 Earthquake
My thoughts are with you guys, your loved ones and the people of Japan. Let me know if you are planning to fly home Stew. I can check for you what QF are doing. Not sure if Narita is still closed. I think we may be putting some evacuation flights on. 'Lucky the Japanese builders are so good. Can't believe more buildings haven't succumbed. Anywhere else in the world would have flattened the country. May your spirit help you through! Stay safe!!!! Pete

JDM GEAR
I wouldn't say that Fred. The thing about JDM gear is it is well made in the beginning, expensive to buy so it tends to be looked after by the owner and a new model doesn't come out every year (so resale stays high unlike TM etc crap). This means a second hand (but good condition) item can be passed on from seller to seller. I presently can't see myself selling any of my JDM gear for a long time. Pete

Geotech xdb 65 90t golf shaft
I don't think the shaft spun excessively. I forgot to say that I had a go on a launch monitor. I averaged about 3100-3200 with the Geotech and about 2800-2900 with the top spec Stinger. Launch angle was about 1 to 1.5 * higher on average with the Geotech than the Stinger. Hope that helps. Thinking about your swing speed, as long as you don't hit an abnormally high ball flight, I reckon the 'X' might be a pretty good fit. If you get it, don't tip it at first. see how it goes and adjust as your club fitter suggests! Pete

Geotech xdb 65 90t golf shaft
Hi All, this is a review of the Geotech XDB65 90T graphite golf shaft. I'm sorry it is not as fully complete compared to a review from a more skilled reviewer like Tario! I hope I give you some idea to assist you with a future purchase. Firstly, the wonderful people at TSG made available to me, an 'X' flex uncut shaft (46" in length), in an Orange/white colour graphic. The shaft is listed on the (Geotech supplied) TSG website as 72 grams. On my clubfitters scales, the shaft weighed in at 75grams. This appeared to be correct as we weighed a number of High Spec shafts from different companies on these scales. All appeared to come in within a gram of their advertised weight. Although this weight did not concern me, I was concerned at how accurate the other specs would be given the 3 gram weight discrepency! The shaft was put into my Epon 101 IP 9.5* driver head, tip trimmed 1/2" and butt trimmed to play at 45" in the Epon Head. Once fitted, the shaft was checked for its Frequency. The setup resulted in 262CPM's. I felt this might make the shaft a trifle soft for me despite it indicating 'X' flex. I average 106 - 110 mph head speed and around 152 - 155mph in Ball speed with a driver at 45". I gamed the club in 2 competition rounds in my home town, Brisbane. My playing experience seemed to back up my initial thoughts in the fitting shop. The club felt quite stable in the butt and had plenty of kick in the tip. My dispersion was not as tight as the high end shaft I have gamed in this head (Diamana Stinger 70 X)and about the same as a mid price shaft (GD YSQ 65 S) I had originally in the club. Remember the Stinger is an $800 shaft and Diamana's best product whilst the YSQ is a similar Price to the Geotech. The thing I found was it launched somewhat higher than both of those shafts. It was easy to turn over into draw but I felt that if I really tried to load the shaft, I would cut it. If I kept the tempo smooth, it would go fine. Despite this, the trajectory height was what prevented me from really liking it. Australian conditions tend to be windy due to the general proximity of the coast to the major Australian towns. I have considered trying to use this shaft as a FW shaft with a low loft head (13*). To summerise. A nice feeling shaft that plays softer than the flex (Is this a JDM trait as I feel my Stinger plays softer than X. Just less so than the Geptech). It has good dispersion and plenty of kick in the Tip. Plenty of consideration needs to be given to what head/loft the shaft goes into. I also have concerns over the weight/spec issue. One real winner on this shaft is its price. TSG retails them for around $220. I feel it is good value at this price given the technology in the shaft but not a world beater. In Golf Shafts, I do believe you get what you pay for. The question to be answered is what proformance improvement justifies the price differential!! Please read the TSG info about the shaft in the Proshop in addition to this report. Regards, Pete

Fourteen HI610h TS dRiving Iron
Hi Gocchin, Chris and other Golf Fair attendees, firstly, thank you for the coverage and photo's! I found the info on the the new HI610h TS most interesting as I have found Hybrids not my favourite club to hit. When are they due to be released, lofts available, approx cost, will TSG be selling them and are they lie adjustable or orderable in flatter than normal lie angles? many thanks, Pete

AF 102 10.5 deg
Here is a rare WHISKY for you Spoon! I managed to sneak away with this many years ago when visiting the R & A. At the time, they served 2 Whisky's to the members (the No 1 & surprisingly, the No 2) Apparently the No 2 was better! No indication of which Distillary (sp?) it came from. Apparently a closely held secret. Pete

Epon AF 101 IP
I don't ever downgrade Bully! The greens in QLD aren't good enough for the BB and the Epon will be replaced with something of similar quality! Now you need a new driver, don't you!!?? You know my gear is good! Pete

QUADRA fire express ****PROTOTYPE ***** 75xs
The XDB 65 90T plays fairly butt stiff but soft on the tip. I just gamed one the other day and agree with Gocchin that it is for <110mph swingers even in X form! It is not easy to keep down in the wind. I will do a full review in a few days. Pete

Epon AF 101 IP
Hi all, For sale is my AF 101 IP 9.5*. This was bought second hand here on this website. It is in very good condition except for light face and sole wear (a trait of the Ion Plating finish) with no popups or other marks. It currently has a brand new Geotech XDG 65 T90 x shaft playing at 45" and comes with a used but acceptable Epon head cover. Will sell for $575 Aust with the Geotech or $450 Aust for the head alone. Please add delivery from Australia on to those prices. Thanks
