  1. Wish they made a 16 or 17 EGG I+, or just more utes with lower lofts for that matter.... Although the TRC 17(which I also have ordered) seems to fit the bill pretty perfectly, I would still really like to see more options for lower lofted utes.... J.
  2. At the moment I believe a lot of lofts are back ordered, I have one on the way with a Crazy ute shaft, should arrive in a day or two... If I like it, I'll def be ordering a few more, i really like the way they set up..... I know T did a review on the blog, and I'm sure if you shoot him and email or PM he would be able to give you more info on that or any JDM gear than just about anyone else.... J.
  3. The EGG I+ is going to be the most forgiving out of your list as it is considered a utility and not a utility iron even though it seems to have an iron-y setup, from what I hear, even if you had a list of standard utes, the EGG I+ would still top the list as far as forgiveness and ease of use..... J.
  4. From everything I read on here and on the blog, the onoff forged are def something you should consider.... Soft, forgiving, but still sets up nicely, not to big or chunky.... The Yamaha standard model looks lights out, and based on how much people love the tour model, I'm guessing that they're superb as well.... Your original comparison was between blades and cavity backs, and while the blades you hit might have a little more offset, they're still blades and will be less forgiving and more "do it yourself" than pretty much any cavity... Just based on the fact that your hittting the Mizuno blades better than the 302s, have you thought about something like the AF Tours? I don't have any personal experience with any of the cavities that you mentioned above, but I received the AF Tours last week, and I have never hit a blade that wants to get the ball up in the air the way these do.... J.

Yes, very interested to see how they go.... Can't wait to receive the sets I ordered, very excited for these.... J.

The flat backs are a great set of blades, you'll be very happy.... When I received my set the lofts, lies, and SWs checked out spot on. J.
  7. That'll be awesome, I looovvee shorter drivers, at 44.5 or under I can't miss a fairway, like seriously can't miss.... But SW comes into play with a lotta heads.... J.
  8. I think the Yams would be sicckkk with a slight M grind and crazy sharp grooves.... A set of gold's customs are def in my future tho.... J.
  9. I think that'll really depend on how your swing matches the grind/bounce of the wedge, I would have no idea which manufacturer makes wedges that spin the most,I haven't tried them all(I'm working on it though, lol), but I know Chris stated that for non conformers, it'll be Sky Dream.... So if your going to go with non conforming Sky Dreams, pick the model that has the bounce and sole grind that best suits your swing, and it will def generate the most spin... Received the non conforming Yururi Tours last week, and they spin very well, but more important to me is that they're very accurate, and I can generate the amount of spin I want from shot to shot very easily.... I also ordered the Yamaha wedges with the new Crazy steel 120 wedge shafts, should have them soon, I'll post how they go.... J.
  10. No love for the Black TJ80 Stew? Things a monster in the jBEAM 425 tour, makes me wanna try every single crazy shaft... Seriously, every single one... Your not going to believe what T is building for me now.... Wanna talk long drive spec lol.... J.
  11. I know it's not under 400cc, but have you thought of the jBEAM 425 Tour? Received it yesterday, 9.5 loft, shafted with the Crazy Black TJ80, gamed it for the first time today, and this thing is seriously TOPS.... Def the magic stick I was looking for.... Carry is great, much better than I thought it was going to be, VERY strong mid flight/ mid launch, but it just ran..... And ran..... And ran..... The ball hit the ground and just kept going for days, I've never seen anything like it. Super accurate, normally if I crank up the MPH's, I can't play a fade for anything, but with this stick it wasn't a problem, every shot I wanted was in my bag no matter how hard I went at it..... I really could not be happier with this driver, and I'm very happy I went with the TJ80, it's a very active shaft and it just feels like a bottled lightning bolt through the ball.... Nice and sturdy though, vie never felt a shaft this active that gave me such a wonderful ball flight, idk what they're doing over at Crazy, but it's working..... For me this was a perfect match for the low launch jBEAM head.... This was my first Crazy shaft, and I can't see myself using any other graphite shafts from now on, I'll def give some others a shot, but whenever I buy a new club with a graphite shaft in it, it'll probably be a Crazy shaft... Already ordered two Utilities with the Crazy ute, and another driver with a Crazy shaft.... I originally wanted an under 400cc head, was settled on the Yonex at first, but T advised against it and emphatically suggested this monster.... I'm glad I listened... Couldn't be happier really.... J.
  12. What are you gaming now? If you don't mind me asking.... J.
  13. Epon Technica that stew mentioned seems to be the prettiest of the bunch.... No idea where to find one though.... I'm liking the tour stage as well and would like to hear more about it... Prgr seems to make fantastic woods and is def worth a look. I was advised against getting the Yonex 380.... J.

How do these compare to say the egg 3w? Might have to consider it..... J.
  15. Wouldn't gold's be able to do something custom with sone absurd non conforming grooves? I would think something like that would spin most just because he could custom make the wedges with crazier grooves than any stock wedge would have, if you wanted that..... TT spinner wedge shaft really helps any wedge spin wise, it does exactly what they say it does, not the best feeling wedge shaft out there though..... J.

Thanks Craig, would really appreciate it..... Are they back ordered T? What am I looking at wait time if I order a set? Lemme know, I'm gonna shoot you an email later on with an order for a bunch of steel shafts...... J.

Tryin to get some opinions on the new crazy steel shafts, thinking of scooping up a set but I would really like to get some thoughts beforehand. Anyone play them? Thinking of getting them? Anyone hear anything about them? Seriously pondering these... Any input would be appreciated gents. J.

That's really terrible to hear man..... I'll keep an eye out on the web as well. I don't ever let my gear outta my sight ever, even bring the bag into the bathroom, used to just leave it outside, but walked out one day and found some guy looking through my bag, now it goes everywhere with me when I'm at the course...... J.

Chris, How do the gun blue and raw polished finishes hold up from Gold's? J.

Are the yammys about to claim a permanent bag spot stew? I seriously considered em b4 I pulled the trigger on what I just ordered.... The Yamaha wedges will def be in the bag with those 2010 tours when I get em, the wedges look better every time I see them.... I find myself wanting to do a fully custom set of Gold's wedges more and more lately tho, custom shape, grind, and finish is appealing to me more everyday.... Especially on those days when I can't stick a pin to save my life.... J.

Oooo, good idea, I never really check the Bay(lol) for anything, idk why though, I'll def keep my eyes out there..... I def wouldn't look on WRX, I stay away from the site on principal alone, I feel like everything turns into a life or death argument on that site.... Not a fan.... J. Just as an aside, I'm gonna be listing a whoolllee bunch of USDM stuff in the USDM for sale section for real cheap to make room for all the JDM goodies I got coming, if there is anything that anyone is particularly interested in, shoot me a PM, I have pretty much everything available over here, and I'm not attached to any of it after discovering JDM gear.

Good day gentlemen, Looking for a set on ORA pulls. Willing to pay good money for them, know this is a shot in the dark, but you can't really blame me for trying lol. J.
  23. Def the putter's fault.... Don't you hate when evil clubs sabotage a great round of golf? Def needs to be put in the corner with the dunce cap lmao. That Ping with that finish would be sick..... I have an old Arnold Palmer heel shafted blade that I think would be amazing if it was totally re done, I would just have no idea where to start.... Any ideas? J.
  24. More so looking for the iron sets, but I would consider the 52 head only(only use steel shafts), post some pics, or shoot me a PM with pics and price. Thanks. J.
  25. I'll pay big $$$ for either of these sets 3-PW or 4-PW, in real good shape, either heads only or shafted if I like the shaft. If anyone has either of these and would be willing to sell, let me know. Thanks. J.
