The Final & Best 997 Ever
JMCMB replied to TourSpecGolfer's post in a topic in Out of Bounds: Lifestyle, Luxury, Autos, Hobbies, High Tech GearI've tested the RS models and unless your on the track alot, its kinda silly, you WILL bottom out if your not super careful, the Turbo S or standard GT2 or 3 are infinitely more practical, and they've really made the Turbos more rewarding recently and much more balanced. Murdered Out!
JMCMB replied to TourSpecGolfer's post in a topic in Out of Bounds: Lifestyle, Luxury, Autos, Hobbies, High Tech GearWent Black on Black on Black on my two most recent, the Panamera 4S and the 599GTO, looks much better on the bigger Porsche than the Rrari, The alcantera interior in the 599 is insane though. Ill post some Pics if I can figure out how to get them from my phone to the forum..... I'm not really handy with a computer lol. J.

CB50vs.TJ80
Ok, I'm having serious trouble deciding between the Crazy CB50 and TJ80, the weight is perfect on the CB50, but I like the idea of the more active kick that I hear about on the 80. Just looking at the numbers I would think the 80 would play stiffer, but from everything I hear, the 50 is stouter. How much stiffer is the 50 going to play than the 80? How much more active is the kick in the 80 compared to the 50? If its minimal, I would go with the 50, but if its considerable, I would go with the 80, I dont want the shaft to fee tool boardy, a really nice stout shaft is appreciated, but I do want some feel and movement from it. Am I over thinking this? Lemme know what ya think. Thanks in advance. J.

James Ingles Custom Putters
Regardless of the look of the putter in the photo above, the idea is fan-freaking-tastic, the fact that you can literally have ANYTHING you want done, that's just awesome. I'm interested, just wouldn't know where to start with the design lol. Stew, did you make any headway with this? Curious to know which Ping you had in mind. J.

Miura Series 1957 - KM350
Oh, one thing I forgot to mention E, the feel of the 350 is very similar to your baby blades(as much as a putter can feel like an iron), in so much as it's nice and soft, but also has a really nice solid punchy feeling that gives it some authority, the 350 and the baby blades go really well together. Not sure how the 007 compares yet but i'm gonna assume that it's similar. J.

Miura Series 1957 - KM350
I have a really great idea.............. Get em' both lol. If you wind up preferring the 350 and didn't wanna hang onto the both of them I would buy the 007 from you in a heartbeat. If you prefer the 007, I'm sure you wouldn't have any problems moving the 350(chime in Stew lol). No reason not to figure out which you really like best, or just have two dynamite putters in the rotation Hope this helps. J.

Miura Series 1957 - KM350
KM 350 is truly an amazing putter, ive been playing it for about a month and I can't see ever playing a Cameron again(have 11 of em!), the feel is amazing and buttery soft and at the same time the ball comes VERY hot off the face and rolls OH SO true, the sound at impact is great, sounds very solid which I loovvveee. I really cannot say enough good things about this putter, it looks just awesome at address, and you really need to see the finish in person to understand how gorgeous it is, In the sunlight it gets these cool oily, swirly, rainbowy effects that make the putter look like a piece of art. I can't see this leaving the bag anytime soon, I'm excited to try the km007 as I like the smaller offset. I'm also looking to pick up a Gold's Factory with the PZ insert and I'll be interested to see how it compares to the Miuras. J.

YAMAHA 2011 wedges
That's a great idea. Keep us informed on how it goes..... I would be very interested, if it turns out to be doable, do you think they would be able to refinish and alter the grind as well as turning the conforming grooves into non conforming? On another note, I would really love to know how gold's factory wedges perform, ive heard a lot about how great the putters are, but I haven't heard much about the wedges, they look gorgeous, and I would possibly consider having a wedge done fully custom, would love to hear anyone's opinion. Shimada shafts?
Thank you, I've been playing the KBS tour black nickels for a while, there is absolutely nothing wrong with the KBS, but I'm not in love with them, they get the job done, but I'm really looking for shafts that I like better, that suit me better, and give me a tighter dispersion, that's my one gripe about the KBS shafts, distance control is semi poor. I Actually just received my yururi flat backs with the Pro Modus3's and they look sicccckk, gonna play them at bethpage black in a little while, if I love the way they play as much as I love the way they look, I'll stick with them in the irons my father is going to order me from TSG later on, if not I'm either going to go with the SP blues, or the Shimadas if I get a lot of good feedback on the Shimadas. And I'm def going to keep my eyes out for the NS Protos, as they seem to be the Holy Grail lol. J

Thank you much kind sir, that was very very helpful, I just received my Yururi flat backs with the pro modus, wooooo boyyyy are these shafts(and heads) pretty, the color of the pro modus sticker even matches the Nowon 50 series red grips I use(the red in the 50 series is actually more of an orangey red), going to give them the trial by fire at Bethpage Black in a little bit, if I don't absolutely love the Modus, I'm going to shaft the irons my father orders me today with the SP blues, as much as I lovvvveee the look of the Modus, based on what I've heard so far, the SP blues would probably be better for my swing/SS, desired ball flight, and my game overall. That's one of the reasons I'm so interested in the Protos, Im thinking I'll get something like the performance and stouter feel of the SP blues, but with the looks of the Modus. Stew, how would you say the trajectory on the SP blues compares to TT Dynamic Golds? Thanks again. J

Shimada shafts?
I'm getting quite curious about the Shimada shafts, I would love to know anyone's opinions on them, more specifically how they play vs. Pro Modus3's and KBS tours, thinking of reshafting a set of blades I haven't been playing with them, and I would really like to get more info first. I would also like to know the differences between the Pro Modus3's and the NS Protos, I have the yururi flat backs coming with the Modus3's and I would really like to know how the Protos differ as I'm considering reshafting a set of baby blades and if I could get my hands on them I would be interested in the protos. Thank you. J

Think they would be a sweet match in the miuraisms, I just saw your thread offering to sell them a little bit ago, and if you didn't start playing them again, I def would have grabbed em from you, if you ever decide to sell the isms again, PM me and I'll take em off your hands in a heartbeat at the crazy low price you were offering. I was thinking of popping the protos in the U.S 1957 baby blades if they were still available. Hopefully another set of protos will pop up somewhere(3-PW, would be sexy), I'm thinking I would get a sweet ball flight with the protos in the baby blades. How much do you prefer the NS protos to the standard pro modus3's stew? And how much would you say they differ? J

YAMAHA 2011 wedges
I've played lighter flexes in my lob wedges recently and have had a lot of luck with sticking quarter and half shots as those are really the only shots I wind up playing with the lob. For the most part, I prefer a thinner sole as well, I don't feel comfortable really going after the ball with a wide sole and I wind up getting lazy, although I have enjoyed some wedges with a wider sole in the past. I've never played the Nippon WV, but i'm thinking of giving it a go in the 2 wedge set up I'm considering in the bag Im about to put together, currently I play the DG spinner in the mp t11, but this year I've had a lot of success playing my other two wedges with the same shaft I play in my irons, that's the only thing holding me back, how do the WV's play vs standard shafts? What I really want is something that plays in between my standard iron shafts and the more radical DG spinner, as much as I like the spin I get from the DG, I feel like it sacrifices a lot of feel, if I could meet somewhere in the middle with a better feel, I'd be set, let the snowballing begin, HA Honestly though, if your looking for seriously maxed out spin, try the DG spinner with a non conforming head, it would be like your pulling the ball back on a string. Im pretty set on two yururis for this next bag, BUTTT, if I come across a set of 2011 yamaha tours, I'm def going to grab the yamaha wedges, and possibly the yammy Driver and utility(s) for a complete yamaha bag, I took my 3 wood outta the bag this year in favor of a low lofted hybrid with nothing but good results. Since this is a wedge thread, I gotta ask this since I'm curious every time I read one of your posts, What in the name of all things holy is a 70' uber wedge? I've never heard of anything like it. J

Are these NS pro to shafts still available, or did you scoop them up stew? If they're still available, I'm def interested. J

These wouldn't happen to still be available, would they?

Kbs tour C-Taper iron shafs
I believe when he says HS he means Hard stepped, hard stepping a regular flex would make it play in between R and S, you could also soft step shafts which makes them play about a half flex softer. Hard stepping is installing a higher numbered shaft into a lower numbered head, for example, 5i shaft into a 4i, soft stepping is the reverse.

YAMAHA 2011 wedges
This interests me a lot, I'm curious as to why you say if these were non conforming you would get rid of all other wedges? What would you say that you like more about them than any other wedges(minus spin)? What makes you prefer these wedges? I'm really, really curious, because as you know I've been considering wedges, and I've pretty much decided on the Rupas(because the original seida doesnt come in a 58), and spin isn't as much of a factor for me as feel and accuracy, I really have no problem creating the spin I desire with conforming wedges, I mean yeah, Ill take a wedge that naturally generates more spin over one that spins less(thats kinda obvious looking at the wedges im thinking about getting lol), but if the wedge that spins less is just flat out a better club, and allows me to be more accurate, I'll work a little harder and go at the ball more aggressively to generate the spin I need for the shot I want. And if you really say these are the best wedges out there by a wide margin, minus spin, not only will I give them a SERIOUS look before my father places my next order, but I would recommend that you compare the results on the course side by side with your non conforming wedges and think about gaming them if the non conformers don't give you much better results. Also, have you thought about giving them a try with a hi spin shaft to balance out the lower spin vs. Non conforming wedges, say the DG spinner wedge, or the KBS HI REV, they def work as far as generating more spin, I can't stand DG shafts, but I have the spinner wedge in a MP-t 11, and I prefer it to the t10' I was gaming in the same loft, it's the only DG shaft I'll play at this point. Thanks for the review. J

Help me pick wedges and a driver
I'm right there with ya bro, I've just come to awareness of all this fantastic JDM gear recently, and I have a lot of catching up to do, but honestly, I would say golf and collecting lots of clubs would be the least expensive hobby I have, and that's more than enough justification for me to keep on scooping up all the clubs and gear I can get my hands on. I'm kinda hesitant to get any of the Yamaha tours, because from everything I hear, they're going to make me not wanna play any of the blades that I love so much. Lol. J

Help me pick wedges and a driver
Stew, I'm gonna go with 52 and 58 rupas wedges, also gonna go with the Yonex 380 driver, but I'm kinda hung on weather to get it with the Quadra Fex or the Graphite design tour AD 9003, I'm also picking up another set of JDM blades to go with the Yururi flat backs my father ordered me last week, as well as 2 driving irons, just waiting to receive the flat backs to see if I'm in love with the pro modus3 or if I prefer the kbs tours that I've been playing before my father places the order. Next on the agenda is going to be the 2011 yamaha tour irons that your gaming now, I prefer the look of the 2011 to the pics ive seen of the 2012 I've seen posted in the forums, only problem with that is going to be that from everything I'm hearing I have to assume that TSG is sold out of the 2011 tour model and I would have no idea where to get them. Also gonna look into an egg i utility, as they seem to be awesome. Thanks again for your input. J
