Cheers dude. Bag was bought by my wife.... how cool is she! Cheers fella. Yeah, I saw that too, but i'd go for black and red as the white would get ruined in the sand pit here.

Crazy CB-80LS Driver Shaft
If your off 10, then this shaft will be very good for you. I have three and another on order. It's a forgiving shaft cause it delivers the head consistently whatever the swing with variables (assuming you have a swing, which off 10, you will have). It's about ensuring your shaft is loaded properly and this is obviously done through your swing path - individual to you. You just need to make sure the flex matches your swing speed, but you cannot go on this alone. You have to go with what you like to feel also. Me, I like to have a solid feeling with a slight kick at impact, therefore I go for a stiffer shaft - my visit to Crazy had my by far best hits (and every shot) with the 80LS at 8.2 flex - I was shocked!! Others will have other preferences. Hope this helps.

Made the Switch to Crazy Toyoshima's
I game the same wedges and can concur they are simply amazing. I play with crazy target wedge and the consistency of flight and feel is incomparable. I was gutted to find out they won't be making any more....

Simply Crazy!
Appreciate that - thank you. This is the par 3 13th - off the back tees, 190 yards to font up hill. The next three holes are the best on the course - 14th lovely down hill par 5 with lake on RHS threatening your second hot - the view is spectacular with villas around the lake and green creating an amphitheatre; 15th a near drivable par 4 and then my favourite hole on the course -16th down hill par 4, bunkers well placed in fairway, water on the right - get a good bounce on your drive down the hill and you have 150 yards to green which cuts into water or its a 200 yard shot - which when the pin is cut on the RHS, you have to carry water and have a 15 yard wide landing area - have some good memories on this hole

Simply Crazy!
Thank you. I have the same shafts in the Yamaha Inpress Tour heads which I was gaming before my new puppies arrived. For some reason, the Crazy head and shaft combo "feels" right. The heads are more compact and certainly the 5,4 and 3 iron you could spread butter with! However, just awesome to hit. The guys working at the club just would not leave them alone! Will post pics.

Simply Crazy!
Anyone who read the thread on my visit to Crazy will see I ordered the Muscle Back irons. They arrived today, and like an excited child at Christmas, opened the box and headed to the range and course. Wow, wow WOW! What amazing weapons. I have gamed Miura, Epon and Yamaha (as well as other big named brands). The heads are married with Crazy Target Tour 120 stiff shafts and built to D2 swing weight. The feel and balance of them are just amazing - like nothing I have felt before and just made me smile holding them on the range as I hit balls. Worked my way from PW all the way up to 3 iron - the flight of each club brilliant and the 3 iron going 210 yards into a head wind! The feeling off the head is between the firmness of the Miuras/Yamaha's and the softness of the Epons - which for me is perfect. Played on the course and just loved every minute of it. Playing 18 holes tomorrow with them on the Earth Course and can't wait. They are an expensive set of irons but for me I can honestly say well worth it. Never have i had such a positive feeling/response from a set of irons first time out. It normally takes a while for me to get used to them, so goodness only knows what's gonna happen with these puppies. Crazy I am! Post note: Some pics as requested. Feedback from playing the course is they are great; obviously with the butter irons you feel it if its not hit out of the middle. I hit a 5 iron into a 190 yard par 3 through green with a head wind... distance I hit the clubs will have to be re-evaluated!

My Visit to Crazy
Guys, I am flattered and appreciate the positive comments - it's taken a lot of effort and determination to get to this level. Tario - I never knew you took those pics!!

My Visit to Crazy
Was met by Tario yesterday at Tokyo Station. Having not met the splendid chap before but having numerous emails over the past months, it was an absolute pleasure to finally meet the man who has gracefully and patiently dealt with my numerous queries/requests. Needless to say, the man was just as I imagined - positive, enthusiastic and focussed on the Client. We were a bit early so we chatted over a cold coffee and talked. Off we went to Crazy Factory outside of main Tokyo. We were met by Ueda at the station and driven to one of their three buildings. Here we did the custom fit. I am a big Crazy fan and have tried many of their shafts for all my clubs, the driver heads and their special wedges! As I was in Japan, I wanted to visit these guys just to pay respect for their superb product/marketing but also to see I was on the right track with my gear I had finally settled on. First up was the driver shaft. I hit several shafts but for sure the ABSOLUTE right one for me was one I had not tried before - the Crazy CB80LS Noir La Bomba X and I am going to match this with CRZ460 9* IP Head. Tario might be writing a blog about the visit so will let him detail the data, but it was flipping excellent. I am playing Yamaha Inpress Tour heads with Crazy Target Tours in S. I wanted to try the Crazy muscle backs with the same shaft. Unfortunately this combo was not available for testing but I did try the head with a lighter target tour. Really liked the feel off the head and so have ordered a set of these puppies - can't wait for these to arrive. Tried a few 3 wood combos but just could not hit anything well at all and not a patch on what I am currently gaming so se did not pursue that. Ueda, with Tario did the fitting. Ueda is just the nicest person you could ever meet. It astounds me how polite, helpful and respectful he and his colleagues were. After the fitting we then went to the new show room and also the warehouse or should I say golf heaven!! All in all, just a fantastic time, the Crazy guys and girls were very welcoming and Tario just the perfect host. If anyone new to tourspec golf is reading this and wondering if its worth dealing with these guys - absolutely yes, they are brilliant!

My visit to Crazy factory
you guys are just making me feel even more excited.... I booked flights to Japan yesterday for me and my wife (I have been a huge fan of Japan and wanted to go there since I was a kid), so finally we're doing it and..... I have asked Tario if he can fix a visit to Crazy as I am Crazy about Crazy! We're still planning what to do but I have never been so excited about visiting a place. As for my wife, well she's so excited too!

Short Driver update
Well, I thought i'd add a further update for you - I played last night and it was rather breezy! The driver performed brilliantly and am getting to love it each time I use it. Absolutely creamed a beauty off the tee into a head wind and it went 280 yards. Been monitoring the face of the driver and I am pretty much hitting it out of the middle every time. I'm guessing the shorter shaft is allowing me to be more accurate. Amazing performance. Well happy.

epon zen
Did you change to the shorter shaft and anything else? Feed back appreciated. I got my Zen three days ago and been using it - getting better and better but would like a shorter shaft.

Short Driver update
I know It was a while ago I said I was going to try a 43.5 inch driver but with working in Iraq it has not been until this week I have been able to give it a go. The last three days I have gamed it playing a few holes each time (it's 100 humid and very hot here!!). Re-cap on the driver - Kamui head built to my spec with Crazy Proto 519 Stiff, swing weight D2. I have to say initial results are very promising. The ball just seems to explode off the club face and flight is very similar to that of the Epon Zero - just pierces the air, drops and rolls forever. Last night I hit two drives on the course 300 plus downwind and a couple between around 250/260 into wind. Tonight I hit a stormer off the first tee and nearly ended up in the bunker - something I have never done with other drivers and hit a couple around 290 mark - all of tonights were with NO wind. At address I feel nice and compact and feel I can just let it rip - it feels there is less to go wrong if that makes sense and so the confidence goes up. After the course play, I went and spent some range time and a pattern is emerging which I like and was considerably more consistent than I have been before - which is what I am after. The next step is to get on trakman and get some real data and compare against my other favoured driver and see what gives. I might also get the 519 in X too (hope your reading this Tario.. ) Until then, I can say with certainty that going 43.5 inches has been a positive thing and hope this helps you too.

I think this proves something....
I just got notice that my Kamui custom with Crazy proto shaft built to 43.5 is on its way to me. Can't wait and so will post pics and report.

iron shaft help - which to choose (nippon sp blue, nippon tour modus 3, shimada k's tour, or crazy sports target tour 120)
I have gone from Modus 3 to crazy tour. Both are excellent shafts but I am sticking with the crazy tours as I find I can "feel" where the shaft is in my swing, they have a tighter dispersion, am getting more distance, can flight the ball well - all of which gives me more confidence. I was playing the stiff in Modus and as I got better I found the shaft too light. The x might be ok but I am a crazy, crazy freakin fan!
-
What Iron Shafts would you pick?
I went from Modus 3 S to Crazy target tour; more control, dispersion, distance and can feel the shaft (in terms of weight) which has helped my swing no end.

I think this proves something....
Hey Robbie, that's very interesting indeed. Thanks for posting.

I think this proves something....
I have looked into the Epon Zero but they can't make a head heavy enough so having had discussion with Tario have gone for the following: Kamui Works silver 420, 212g head, 1 deg open, 10 degrees loft, 58 deg lie Crazy 519 proto 43.5 inches tipped Swing weight 2.5 Will be interesting to see how this one pans out. Am also re-shafting my Epon Zero with diamana x cut to 44.25 so wil compare against my Yama tour head with diama x which I am loving!

I think this proves something....
This is useful info indeed - thank you. I have decided to build a driver 43.5 inches long and am in discussions with TSG to help me. I was thinking of making the lie flatter to 58 degrees - I am 5ft 7. Do you think this is flat enough? Current thoughts are to try to get the Epon Zero Head (if epon can make the head heavy enough) and Tario is suggesting the crazy 519 prototype shaft. I really like the Epon Zero and think the shorter shaft will help me find that sweet spot a bit more. Am opening this up for discussion though as other ideas always welcome.

I think this proves something....
All really interesting points being raised here and obviously we are all different builds, swings, tempos etc. I think the reason the "kids" shaft worked for me was that it allowed my compact swing and aggressive transition work naturally - by that I mean I was just swinging naturally and it allowed me to go at it, rather than swing smoothly which I have to do with a longer club which is not my natural swing. These are my thoughts, could be completely wrong, but seems to make sense. We will see

I think this proves something....
Was hoping you would chime in! All good stuff - and I like Swisstrader's point too. I found it astonishing I hit my sons driver so well! I am gaming Yamaha tour with Diam X at 45 and its a great combo. I like the shaft a lot. I am going to try my second X shaft in my Epon Zero and see what happens. Will keep you posted.

I think this proves something....
Currently in UK visiting my boys. Took them to the range to see how there golf is progressing. My son asked me to hit his driver - he is 8 years old. I hit it and then another, then another and each one went dead straight and past the 225 yard marker! Lovely flights too. What's my point? I am convinced the shorter shaft made the difference - obviously this was extreme but I am gonna trial a 43 inch driver - shortest I have had is 44. Maybe even try 42?

Epon zero + crazy 435 new build
Can't wait to hear about epon wiv dian - hey there's a thought, if it works u cud rename her Diane! Your right about the head thing - on course play with my zero it's very reliable.
