You guys are no fun whatsoever! :) @ Tokidoki; I'm the same with my 435r. Really struggling to keep it on the short stuff. I like to attack the ball with my driver, so I need some assistance. @ Chris and Duffer; I know I have flaws in my swing, and I will work on them with some lessons starting this Saturday. My bad shot is left (a pull), and I was told to tee the ball on my left toe, which worked for a little while. Maybe I stay back on the ball and don't transfer my weight correctly/fast enough all of the time, I don't know. I'll soon find out. I know that in the past when I've tried a closed face driver the ball went left most of the time. At least with a square or open face I get the ball straight or drawn 50% of the time. I shouldn't have put length as a requirement, as I'm long enough (don't go there!). Weirdly I have no problem with my 3w/5w/7w of the fairway. Very confident with them and they fly straight or draw all day long. Mad. @ scubawan; I read that the Royal Deco/CRZ460 combo is really good, and maybe this would help me to focus on a smother swing rather than all out attack. I guess I'd like one of the drivers mentioned to help me along WHILST I'm trying to correct my flaws. It takes a lot to swallow your pride you know.......... -
I after some feedback on the Ryoma D1 V-Spec and Crazys CRZ460. I have a jBEAM 435r which is a deep faced driver, but I seem to miss mainly on the toe or heel, so I need a shallower, square to open faced driver that is very forgiving and long. These 2 drivers have come in to view so if anyone out there has tried these out please reply a.s.a.p.

Would love to give these gripmasters a go but they're very expensive. Anyone play with 'Pure' grips?
-
Right then, I'm after a change of grip, so is there anything out there that's as sticky/tacky as ust soft touch to golf pride tour wrap?

All sold. Lock it up :)

As hybrids go, this is really good looking. Great pictures Chris. -
If these play anything like their heavier brethren then they will be awesome for those that like a lighter shaft. GLWS

Question 1: What is the best feeling iron you ever hit? Yamaha 2011 Tour Model with Quadra 100i 's' Question 2: What is the longest iron you ever hit? Yamaha 2011 Tour Model with Quadra 100i 's' Question 3: What is the best combination of both you ever hit? Yamaha 2011 Tour Model with Quadra 100i 's' I sold these last year which I regretted ever since, but fortunately I've managed to get hold of the 2010 tour Model and installed my favourite Quadra 100i 's' which I've tipped 1/2". -

Anyone play something that has a loft of 15.5 or 16? My fitter has suggested that I ditch my 5 wood 17* as it too close to my 7 wood 20* in distance. I hit my 7 wood very well so that isn't going anywhere. I will also ditch my 3 wood if I got a 4 wood, plus I want to concentrate on my short game and carry 4 wedges including PW. Club will have to be used rather than new. Suggestions needed.......

10.5 * 3 wood build. for those , heavy days..,
Ian-500 replied to supo's topic in Japanese Golf Clubs
Really interested to hear how this goes for you Stu. I've just had a Kamui Works Ray 10* built to 43" with a Whiteboard 73 'x' 3wood shaft. Can't wait to find out how it plays. -
I have an hour booked on Trackman at my 'new' club fitter/builder premises this Friday. What should I be looking out for in particular regarding all the numbers that will come my way? Bear in mind that I will be testing my 3 drivers to see which one is the best fit for my swing, and they are; Yamaha 4.6V 9*, square face, Black Ops shaft at 45", D3. jBEAM 435r 10*, 0.5* open face, Quadra Red Tour X at 44 1/2", D2. Kamui Works Ray 10* (Hi-cor), 0.5* closed face, Diamana Whiteboard 73 X at 43", D1.5. I will take as many photos as I can of the numbers on screen. Obviously my fitter will tell me which is 'the one' but I'd like to know your thoughts on the numbers too. I had a quick range session earliertoday, and strangely the closed faced Kamui was the straightest. The other 2 went left A LOT! Only time will tell. Friday can't come soon enough......
