  1. No problem with my type V maxima. I hit, only about 100 balls, I hit at a 120mph swing speed. If the problem persist, I would have crack it already. It's still in good shape. No scratch.
  2. Get Crazy Boron shaft. It's currently my favorite right now. Light (help increase swing speed), stable and easy to launch with low spin.
  3. There are more doubts I have for the T388. With the length longer than 45 (say 46) inch, hitting with a descending blow would be difficult to do!? The FW3 is in shorter length and sweeping or descending on the ball is easy to do (flatter lie angel too). Also hitting a descending blow will create more back spin, is this the case for T388!? I'll go demo the club next week and all might be answer but I'm just too curious to hear from those with first hand experience. I posted a topic on a FW head in Driver loft a few weeks ago, this T388 could be the answer, but I'm just too afraid it could be the "more forgiving" version of Epon Zero. That is not the ultimate in distance.
  4. I'm thinking in getting this driver too. It's seems to be not a distance driver!? If I recall correctly, Tats hit avg 290 yards at Crazy Factory with those Crazy drivers. He only avg below 260 yards with the S-yards. Is it the Epon Zero in a form of a 3 wood form factor with more forgiveness (over the Epon Zero)!? The Zero didn't yield more distance compare to other drivers I have in my arsenals.
  5. I just have the Baldo VT511 in 8 degree loft (received few days ago from great TSG service!!) built with a Diamana B series in 60g flex X this morning. The club is between D2-D3 and in 45 inch length. Grip is Perfect Pro in Blue color so it kind of compliment each other between the shaft and the grip as far as the coloring is concern. Club is very square face when place at address. Truly classic pear head deep face shape. Built quality is very good especially the forged face. Very smooth and solid. The white paint makes the club look very good, BUT the mat white paint could accumulate stain over time. Need special care to keep the white paint pearl white finish all the time. What I like most is the ferrule!! There is Baldo logo around the ferrule which gives it an attention to detail touch!! Glue still not dry so cannot hit it till later evening. I'll probably hit it tomorrow and will have more updates with comparison to the other drivers in my arsenal especially the Maxima.
  6. There are two type of range balls at the driving range I hit that day. There's a cheap old fake ball cost around 1 usd per tray and the real new ball at 1.50 usd. I played the new balls so it should be as close as the ball when play on the course. Compare to Premia, the Maxima type V really did go lower. Don't know why as the Boron is mid to high kick too. But the Maxima is just much more forgiving and easier to hit.
  7. Type V comes in 8.5 too, but this thing is very low. I normally hit the ball high and the Crazy Boron should yield a high profile to the ball, the Type V at 9.5 is still very piercing low.
  8. get Gold Fac sword oil. I use it on every club. It kind of odourless and seems to be non-toxic. Very good product.
  9. Thx for the complement!! I hope TSG will carry them today or tomorrow. It could be the best selling Driver of all time. I cannot compare this driver to T388 though (I don't have it), too many Driver in stock already....The Baldo is yet to be build, but I'll have it shaft in Diamana B tomorrow.
  10. I finally have the club hit at the range alongside all the driver I have namely, Crazy 435ii 9 degree (80 LS nior 8.2 flex), Kamui Ray 8 degree (Diamana X in X flex), Epon Zero (Tour AD BB X flex), Ryoma D1 V-spec (TJ 80 8.7 flex), Ryoma D1 Premia (LY01 Black hot 8.2 flex). The Ryoma Maxima Type V 8.5 degree is shafted with Crazy Boron in X flex built at D2 swing weight and in 45.5 length. I'll break it down into specific characteristics of the driver for easy to read and not making the review too long. Feel: Mizuno soft and solid feel PLUS crisp feel (the old D1 doesn't have it). You can literally feel the compression of the ball on the face and also feel the ball bombs away from it. Distance: The net of the range is 270 yrds away. I hit mid section at the back of the net. I guess I carry around 300+ yrds. Definitely much longer than the Ryoma Premia, V-spec or Kamui Ray. I can only either bounce to hit or barely hit the net with those drivers. Looks: It's no classic pear shape driver. This driver is build to kill (kill the ball). Pack with technologies. It combined both the "deep face" driver and "Shallow face" driver all together into one package. The face is still as deep as the old model but the DSI weight is seamlessly incorporated into the back of the head. Thus, making it appear to be shallow. It's a 460CC (like the old model), but appear to be bigger (by very little). I won't say about the build 'cuz it's a Ryoma so build is top notch. Forgiveness: This is what surprises me most. I never find the old Ryoma to be that forgiving. It is forgiving but it cannot be compare to the new Maxima. This thing is "point and shoot". It cannot go offline no matter where you hit on the club face. (unless you really mis hit the ball badly or really have an offline swing path). The ball cannot go slice or hook, it just go dead straight. Trajectory is very penetrating but carry by a mile. Much further than the Premia. I don't know about the roll 'cuz I hit the net. I'm very happy with the Driver and the shaft (Crazy Boron). This is the ultimate weapon in my bag right now. The Premia will be out of the bag immediately. I'll have a Long Drive Contest coming next month and I'm sure I'll win with this Maxima Type V. One very interesting thing to note....My club head speed (use PRGR red eye) is 120 mph. Same speed for all the drivers I use today. BUT the ball speed on the Maxima is 20 MPH faster than the avg ball speed of the other drive I hit. **Read at your own discretion. All the drivers are in different loft and shaft so it would be unfair to compare them head on. However, this is the best I can do. Thx for reading. I'll have more review updates when I game this deadly beast on the course. type V.mov
  11. I choose the V for only one reason. It's the only model with a square (0 degree) face angle. The other 2 either has a 1 to 1.5 close face angle. The one thing I notice on the new maxima, the DSL is seamlessly blend into the back of the driver (the old D1 is kinda stick out) really makes it look easy to hit and also (most importantly) erase the illusion that the Face angel is close (even on a 0 degree face angle). That's a major breakthrough as far as the design is concern comparing to the previous model. I'll be hitting it today along with all the drivers I possess and will compare them later, possibly tonight.
  12. Ryoma Face comparison. (from left to right) The New Maxima, Premier and the V-Spec.
  13. I just got back to my actually home so I took a few snap shot along side other Ryoma Driver, the V-Spec and the Premier model. The New Maxima Type V has a more shallow back design (the back where the DSI is located is more elongated toward the back), the finish is about the same in terms of paint and finish. It's a Ryoma Driver so the product is very high end. In the pic (from left to right) I have Crazy 435II, Ryoma F2, Ryoma V-Spec, Ryoma Premier, Ryoma Maxima Type-V, Kamui Ray, Kamui Ray FW and Epon Zero.
  14. I got the club installed. Will be testing it tomorrow. Price list for the G model
  15. I got theType V with stock shaft for 89000 yen. De tax by about 10750 yen. The tag price is 99750 yen. Most of the shops in Ueno have all the Maxima model for sale, so if you go there, you should get it easily.
  16. I'm in Tokyo at the moment and went to Ueno for golf hunt instead of Shimbashi. I needed to go to Akihabara for some Otaku stuff so I choose Ueno over Shimbashi. Went to Kotobuki golf shop and found Ryoma Booth with all models of Maxima Driver. I got mine in Type V 9.5 degree. I'll have it shaft into Crazy Boron when I get back home tomorrow for more review. Btw, Maxima is more of a shallow face driver than the old D1 model.
  17. No Roly!? I would pick Luke Donald, love to see him win a a major and he uses mizuno!!
  18. I have a question on whether or not is it possible to get a FW in 10 or 9 degree (driver loft). The reason being, I hit Ryoma Premia or Kamui Ray or Crazy 435ii just about 20 yards further than my FW. Consistency and accuracy wise, I hit the FW much better. So my thoughts are that if I get a FW in 9-10 degree loft, I may hit just about 10-20 yards further than a FW and have the same consistency and accuracy. My FW is Kamui Ray 14degree shaft with Bangvoo 787 in tour X flex at 44 inch. Distance off the tee is about 270 yards.

I think T posts a new Kamui Works in his GTI blog a weeks back, but not much info on it though.
  20. Don't know about the S-Yard, but I have the Zero. Zero is a very very not forgiving head and quite difficult to launch (even it's 10 degree). The feel on the head is very nice, but now i'm not gaming it anymore. Hard to get a consistent hit on this head. I swing around 125mph and still find this head hard to play.
  21. I have both the V-Spec and the Premia. The V-SPec is in 8.5 loft shafted with TJ-80 and the Premia in 9.5 loft shafted in LY-01 Black. The Premia in light shaft is a lot further than the V-Spec. Easier to hit and launch about mid to high. Roll is about the same. But beware on the square face in Ryoma, even with a 1 degree open may look a tad close at address.
  22. Amazing. How I feel more love towards the GF putter I own after seeing the vids. BTW, could you give me the location of that Grill Beef and the Bar in the vids?!? I travel to Japan often and seem those places are worth a visit.
  23. I love custom made stuff. But at what price per set !?

Yeah...a huge thx to Bob for sending me the app!! BTW, this device cannot be use without hitting the ball!?! I try to swing it without hitting anything and the device didn't register.

I'll be selling for half the price but you'll have to pay for the shipping. The device is open but never use.
