Finally.....S-Yard t388.
I finally bought S Yard t388 and built it with Bangvoo 787 shaft in tour X at 44.5 inch. SW is D1 at total weight 300g. CPM at 280 with rating of 7.7 stiffness. I'll be hitting it soon and will compare it to Maxima Type V.

T.388 rolls on
I have demo the club. It felt really good off the face!! Hot and crisp. I think the stock shaft is too long for a driver in a size of a (big) FW. IMO, it should roll more than the Maxima but carry less. It also shouldn't exceed the distance of the Maxima Type V. BUT, it should be more versatile (as a FW should be). I have decided to built it with Bangvoo 787 in 44.5 inch to the t.388. I'll get the 10.5 degree as I want it to be able to hit off the ground. I'll get to range later in the afternoon after the driver is built and will chime in for "Maxima Type V VS S-yard t388"!!!

T.388 rolls on
I would probably get this driver tomorrow and build it with TJ-80 shaft. The stock shaft is nice but it's too soft for me. I'll compare it to Maxima type V and will chime in later for comparison. For one thing though, I really like the feel of the t388 when the ball strike the face.

T.388 rolls on
I hit the t388 today. It's a very good club. Great distance and decent roll. The stock shaft is too soft though, but the feel is so good and more forgiving than it looks (small head). Still forgiveness and distance, I would say the Maxima is still better (not that the t388 is bad). I think I'll probably get it, the t388.

3 iron 4 iron replacement...
I had a horrible accident today. Caddie dropped my bag off the cart and all the irons and woods fell off on a concrete floor. The hybrids had a huge scratch on it. So I'm thinking in getting a new one. I'm now using Egg i+ 3 and 4. What hybrid is as good as the Egg!? I wanted to try something new and the new hybrid will be shaft in quadra fire express UT proto.

Top of the line shaft chart - Weight, flex, torque, price. Good for a reference.
From the given choice... If u want super stiff low spin and never go left with a super soft feel. Also with super stable, no timing require....go get crazy TJ-80. I have one in 8.7 but I think it is more of a xxx or 8.9 for other shaft. Super stiff.

Introducing the all new RYOMA MAXIMA!!
Nice writeup!! Nice pics taken too. Without a doubt this will be the hottest selling driver in TSG. I didn't really like the original D-1 but is Maxima really blew me away. It's a conforming driver but even further than my non-conform Kamui Ray!! Also can you compare Maxima to the T388 or XV!?

Really need your help - which shaft for the Maxima Type V?
My SS is 120 and max at 130mph. My normal SS would be 120mph. I would say Crazy shaft is probably best in quality and feel.

IMPORTANT - RYOMA MAXIMA PRE-ORDER INSTUCTIONS
IMO, just don't bother about adjusting this thing. It's already perfect as it is. Other factor that will affect swing weight is grip and shaft weight. I think adjusting those makes more sense than bothering with the weight kit.

Really need your help - which shaft for the Maxima Type V?
These are the shaft I have: Bangvoo 787 - very good distance. There a "kick feel" at impact very stable ( you can actually feel the club thru out the swing ), for me still not lowest spin. Crazy CB80-ls noir - very stable, not the greatest in distance, low low spin ( LS stands for Low Spin ) Low trajectory but produces a little draw. Feels heavy. Crazy TJ80 - this shaft feel so hard like a cupboard!! Feel super stiff even if it were to be a flex softer than what you hit. Very stable, low spin. For me not that great in distance. It feels heavy too. Diamana X - very stable, great distance, low spin and weight is perfect with the Kamui I use in D2. Feel is not so good if compare to the crazy shafts. Diamana B - very hard (feel stiff). Good roll but not the farthest carry distance and not so good in feel. Crazy Boron - perfect shaft for me right now although the feel is not as great if compare to 80T shafts. Not soft but more crips. Light, easy to launch with lots of rolls. It's also very stable maybe due to its low tourque. Crazy LY01 Hot - light, good feel ( mix with soft and crips ) great carry good roll with piercing trajectory. Very good distance shaft but not as stable as the Boron. IMO, TJ80 in 8.7 stiff will give you the lowest spin, never go left, lowest launch. BUT I think it also will not give you longest distance. This is my swing, my opinion so read at your own discretion.

Blemish in my bag. Need to eradicate the blemish, with your help!
I like the Diamana X too. One of my fav shaft. Bangvoo 787 is also nice, it's a 70T shaft and you can literally feel a kick when you strike on the ball. BUT now my most fav shaft is Crazy Boron. Super easy to launch with low spin. It's the farthest shaft for me right now. I would recommend you to get Maxima Type V when TSG offer it in the pro shop. Today, I played in a tournament and avg 310 yrds with this driver. There was one par 4 hole 337 yards and I carry ball to the pin. It's that long and easy to hit when super roll. Get it and you will love it even if you shaft with Diamana X, it should be great too. I won a trophy too and my strength today is Driver...never miss a single fairway (just one in water hazard 'cuz it roll to the end of fairway!!).

New Ryoma Maxima Type V review....
Yeah...not only that. This shaft require no timing. It's so easy to hit that I can drive 100 balls straight without tire myself out. Highly recommend if you are looking for an easy to launch, great dispersion and distance. P.S. another thing about JDM gear. The Tourstage X01Z (http://www.tourspecgolf.com/product_info.php?products_id=4840) is a much superior ball to ProV1X. Not only did it give better overall performance, it also more durable. Try it if you are bored with the ProV1X and like to get something JDM.

New Ryoma Maxima Type V review....
Compare among Crazy Boron, TJ80, CB 80 LS and LY01 Hot Black...the Boron is easiest to launch. The Type V is indeed low launch so the 2 combo out nicely. I just notice another good thing in my Type V Boron shaft driver, it's the Nowon Ichi grip (http://www.tourspecgolf.com/product_info.php?products_id=4764). This is probably the best grip I have ever use. Try it if you can. It's much superior than Iomic.

Crazy Rain Blouson
Yeah. TSG need to have Crazy outfit in the shop. They are nice especially the Crazy X Edwin wear. I really like the belt and the visor cap.

Finally the time has come... Ryoma Maxima @ TSG
The D1 Premia (shaft with LY01 Hot Black) creates too much back spin. I get almost no roll at all.

Launch Monitor Results with Tatsuro
What launch monitor is that!? Can you have it in pro shop ( if it not too cost )!?!? It would be cool to have it in my garage.

Finally the time has come... Ryoma Maxima @ TSG
From the brochure, it's not normal tour ad shaft. I think it's specially made for each Type model. I've been playing it, the type v, for quite sometimes now. I can tell you that it's worth the upgrade from the original D1 to the new Maxima. It exceeds the D1 in forgiveness, roll and looks at address. These are the obvious improvement i can tell right away. At first I was going to get the T388 too, but the Maxima is just so easy to hit and distance is just insane. I actually gained 20 yards (including roll) from this Maxima over all the drivers I have (including the V spec and Premia).

Finally the time has come... Ryoma Maxima @ TSG
Agree. The Type V in 9.5 that i got was the very last one in stock. They even display the Ryoma booth right in front of other premium brands. It must be really hot.

Finally the time has come... Ryoma Maxima @ TSG
The wrench sounds interesting. I couldn't find it for sale in Japan. Can TSG get this in store too!? I cannot find it in Japan neither.

Finally the time has come... Ryoma Maxima @ TSG
agree with you totally. The Old D1 lack in roll, thus not so good against wind. The Maxima has a more penetrating trajectory plus more roll. I think it also eliminate the "seems to be close face angle" that the old D1 has. It sets very forgiving ( thx to shallow back ) and a square face angle (type V). You can literally feel the spring effect (the crown spring off the ball) when hitting this driver. The stock shaft is too soft for me so I threw it away. With the right shaft, this Driver is a bomb. Wait till Gocchin reviews the club (he gives out best pics and review), and see what would be his opinion.

Maxima will be the hottest Driver in TSG this year. Period!!

Ryoma maxima first batch problems
Which model you've got!? I don't think it would break that easy. The previous model proved to be durable, same should be for the Maxima. The one from post could be the stolen club, really problematic for the first batch or fake driver. I have the real one and it doesn't seem to be that breakable.
