    On tourspecgolf, sorry not tourspecgolf.

There is one on tourspecgolf currently listed. Pulled shaft $469. I thought that was a little steep for a used shaft.

I tend to like slightly firmer grips rather than spongy, and if I paid that kind of money for a grip and it wore out in 2-3 months, I wouldn't buy them again. Seems that makes the Iomics a better match for me based on what everyone has been saying about the Nowon.

I can't comment on the Nowon, but I find the Iomic stickies to be very tacky. Coming from Golf Pride New Decades and Tour Velvet's, these are significantly more tacky. If they can stay that way for the whole season I will be thrilled. I only get to play about 25 rounds a year, so that should be realistic.

That is one of my goals, to stop wearing a golf glove. I tried with the New Decades, but it didn't work out so well. These feel less abrasive, and potentially to be free from the need for a golf glove, would be nice.
  6. Very pretty to look at. Let us know how it performs on the course.

So I just made the jump to Iomics. I have been playing Golf Pride New Decade Multicompound grips for the past two seasons and have been fairly happy with them. I wanted something to match my Nippon Modus 3 shafts, and have been curious about all the love that Iomics get. Had them done yesterday and I am really impressed so far. Unfortunately, I can only swing them lightly in the house, due to doctor's orders, but they feel great. The tacky feel is just what I have been looking for. I don't know how long that tackiness lasts, but it feels great to start with.
  8. Ha ha. Actually, I am happy that they are all gone, it seems that the only thing that saves me money is being left handed and being 3 years late to the show.
  9. So how do I find one of these?
  10. So what is the difference in performance between the two?
  11. I didn't know you could still get a stinger, I thought the Diamana X was the updated version in high modulus carbon, rather than boron. Am I wrong?
  12. I am not sure if this worked, but here is the video discussing the differences in these shafts. <iframe width="560" height="315" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/44pPUFLwZYo" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>
  13. GraphiteDesign just came out with a new shaft called the Tour AD GT, which is supposed to be a fairway wood version of the BB, but alittle easier to get up in the air. This may match what you are looking for. I bought the crazy fw80 7.4 in anticipation of putting it in my Callaway X Hot pro 3 wood when it arrives. Unfortunately, I won't be able to report back for at least another month.
  14. Great, now I am going to focus on listening for this noise when I swing the club. I hope I can forget about this before I start swinging the club next month.
  15. Have you tested the numbers it gives vs. trackman or flightscope? There are a few products out there like this and their measurements have been somewhat questionnable when tested on trackman.

Funny, I participate in both sites and I frequently see argumentative posts on wrx that are akin to road rage. I don't really understand it, and I leave those threads as soon as the arguments start. This is definitely more of a community forum on this site.
  17. Wow, that is one serious set of clubs.

Can we please see a few more pictures from a few different angles?
  19. Go to wrx site and everyone there hits the ball 300 yards.
  20. I just won't travel with any of my good JDM stuff. I have a back up set of decent clubs for traveling.
  21. Amazing how that 435 keeps making a come back. My 435 will be competing for a spot in my bag this spring vs. the new Callaway Razr Xtreme with a Diamana X shaft. I will be interested to see which performs better.
  22. Ha ha, that's pretty funny and may not be far off. I have not been able to see any clear spec data on the Recoils. Are they a high modulus carbon, or is it the "19 layers of carbon" that makes them what they are?
  23. If you do want a set of UST Recoils, the guy to work with is Bobby Ennis at the UST Tour Performance Center in Dallas. He has the most experience with these shafts, and is incredibly helpful. His email address is: [email protected]
  24. You will have to stop by in Indy some time on your way to Southern Indiana, and we can play a round together. I haven't played Pete Dye's new course in French Lick, but I hear it is truly an unbelievable course.
  25. I'm not sure. I know that it has been done in the past. I believe the dealer/fitter has placed the order. The copper finish is an expensive upgrade, I was told $100/club. I believe very few people end up doing it because of the cost, not because they can't do it. I debated whether to do this or not for a while, but ultimately knew that if I didn't do it, I would think about it every time I look down at the club. Between this upgrade, and the Recoil shafts, this set is going to cost somewhere around $3200. Don't tell my wife, or she may think I have lost my mind.
