Brief Intro on the new Egg 2017 Series
Now that I have a 9 iron that is actually a #6-- I'm suddenly a really long hitter! In the good old days all you had to do was turn the #9 upside down and it was a #6.

Brief Intro on the new Egg 2017 Series
these are clubs designed for ease of use and good distance so there should be no need to jack up the lofts like they have - senseless.

Callaway Epic Star Japan Only Driver
Chris, is there a typical leave time for the Japan division to come out with their line after the launch of similar in the States and elsewhere? Meaning more specifically, when would you anticipate the Japanese Epic irons will be released ?

dickyfowler replied to nobmontana's post in a topic in Out of Bounds: Lifestyle, Luxury, Autos, Hobbies, High Tech Gear- The Epic Star looks so much better without the adjustable hosel
the pricing and supposed "PXG-like" R&D of this new iron line suggests the Japan division of Callaway would not easily find many things to make them stand apart from the USA offering - so we wait in eager anticipation.- The Epic Star looks so much better without the adjustable hosel
Callaway has just released EPIC irons in the States - two models - wondering if the Japan division has these coming ?- Anyone have any knowledge about DERAMAX Shafts??
and just read about another new one - or at least one I've not seen before - called TPT (thin ply technology). The technology, now present in for the first time in a line of golf shafts, was originally used in sailing masts for the America's Cup. Its invention took TPT from an unknown to an 80% market share leader in just four years (2003-2007). From there, the technology expanded to F-1 series race cars, skis, snowboards, and satellites. Recently the company entered the golf equipment realm.- JBEAM Galpha 445 Driver
last year a survey taken in the USA (unsure how many asked) found that around 80% of 'weekend warriors' would change their driver if they could get one that helped them keep slice spin to a bare minimum. They didn't need to take a survey to know that -- it's common knowledge. A few lessons might be better value for their money than constantly changing drivers thinking the new technology is going to slop the slice - or the hook. Better players seem to prefer a slight fade bias and definitely hate a hook bias..... but the better players are not driving the market.- JBEAM Galpha 445 Driver
Tis a good thing you can overcome their fade bias -- the next meeting of recreation golfers looking for fade-bias drivers will be held in a telephone booth.- Design Tuning Shafts?
some new models appearing in the TSG SHOP and might be nice to get some further information on them - not much to go by from the description in the online store and they are expensive. Apologies if I have missed a write-up on these -- couldn't find one in my drunken stupor.- Gravity Gyelin Putters - From the parent co of Waccine Compo
putting will be the one part of the game that befuddles most of us forever, including the pros, and we've sure seen some interesting designs over the years - all promising the dream result we crave. One thing that worked for me recently was to tilt my putter so the toe is up and I get to strike the ball just below the equator, which I'm finding really gives it a good and consistent roll. However not many putters are actually designed for that type of stroke - I'd like to find one. Using 'normal' putters with this idea has the issue of sometimes having the heel contacting the turf more than is ideal. Watching the pros it seems the grips they go to are more varied these days than the designs?- Miura CB-2008 by TSG Club Works!
the cosmetics are indeed impressive - nearly everything the TSG Works does looks the part. My question is - are there any of these processes that actually enhance feel ?- Chinese Casting Video
indeed! mind you Ping do a decent job getting their irons to feel as good as they do when you consider the manufacturing process.- 2017 Japan Golf Fair - Titleist 718 T-MB and the New Vokey Forged!
C16 vs VG3 (not the clunky D version) -- if you had to play either of these? I'm guessing you liked the forgiveness and distance of the C16s, but the VG3 might fit your eye better ? and who wins on feel.... even though this is very subjective ??- 2017 Japan Golf Fair - Titleist 718 T-MB and the New Vokey Forged!
and how would you line these up against the VG3's ?- Show off your dog thread!!!

Chris -- what are these Concept C16 irons Titleist is crowing about ?- Callaway Epic Star Japan Only Driver
when you look at the shaft offerings as per the tutorial in the TSG shop menu, they talk about "shaft condition" and your options are MODERATE and MEDIUM. They ain't much help!! - Show off your dog thread!!!
