Driver shaft 70g stiff
I have a brand new 46" MRC Diamana 'ahina 70 S, that was the low-low/mid shaft from a couple generations ago, still a great shaft though. let me know if you have any interest and i'll send some pictures

Hybrid shafts
for softer and more elevation but same weight I'd recommend the TourAD HY 95S, little bit higher launch than the TourAD UT and you can go from x to s flex and stay in the 95g range. the TourAD DI Hybrid produces super tight dispersion and very reliable mid launch, but has a stiffer tip than the UT so even though they're both labeled mid launch the DI is a bit lower.

KYOEI Blade Pics!
gorgeous pal. i'd be all over a set of these but I just can't talk myself into even considering replacing my KZG forged blades, which are also Kyoei. I actually have a brand new set of the old heads in chrome and they look so similar to these in chrome, minus the muscle cut-away toward the toe and the KZG's have a smidge more offset. if I do switch though it'd be to either these or the xShinagawa blades

7 wood vs hybrid
i'm a bit biased in favor of the lower lofted hybrid/UT than the higher lofted wood, but that's because the increased loft in a wood shape just doesn't fit my eye and I tend to hit most hybrids very well. my current setup is 11* driver (carry 265-280), 15* wood (carry 250-260), 19* hybrid (carry 230-245), 3 iron 21* (carry 205-215), then 4 iron (24*) thru pw (48*) which is more traditional lofts but it gives me absolutely perfect loft and distance gapping. the only downside to that setup is with it I also carry 52* and 58* wedges, which means I sacrifice a little bit of versatility around the greens than if I were to carry a 52*, 56* and 60* setup like I prefer to. I also have a 52/56/60 set of wedges that I use sometimes, in which case I remove my 3 iron, so I then lose a little bit of versatility around 210-225. however, it sounds like you have pretty different preferences than mine. I prefer a smaller wood and hybrid/utility head and lower ball flight, but for a nice high trajectory and easy launch a fw would be the way to go for those who're comfortable with it. for the most part I prefer the types of clubs I do because I have the most confidence with them. so if you have more confidence with swinging a wood and you like the higher launch then in my opinion that'd be the way to go, to refer back to what supo said "7w lands like a feather. much easier to hit. also work great for long par 3's." he was spot on with all that. only downside, like another commenter mentioned, is hitting the woods out of the rough.. if you consistently hit a lot of fairways then i'd definitely say 5w/7w would be the way to go, in my opinion. if you tend to miss the fairway a decent percent of the time and sometimes have to hit that second shot out of high rough, then i'd maybe recommend a reasonably sized hybrid with a shape that you fits your preference. for instance, the hybrids I hit well I typically hit very well, but the hybrids I don't hit well I really struggle with. so depending on your accuracy off the tee, either go with the higher lofted wood or a nice big hybrid that fits your eye/swing. **also should take into consideration the length you like to play the club at, a wood head will most likely be significantly lighter than a hybrid head so one may make for better swing weight for your preferred length than the other. proper swing weight helps a great deal with club effectiveness

Bridgestone Tour B CB
thanks for relaying this. I like what was said about the X-CB's at the bottom of the article: "Bottom Line The highest-ranked better-player iron in our test. The Tour B X-CB excels in every performance category and looks great doing it." that's pretty high praise for a Bridgestone iron, I'm intrigued by an X-CB/X-MB combo. I'm also very surprised that feedback on the 737V's wasn't great, the testers also seemed to prefer the Srixon Z765's to those. interesting to say the least. it makes me question the objectivity of the article a little, but still sounds like a pretty good review and definitely tweaks my interest in the Tour B's

KYOEI Blade Pics!
I totally agree, that would be awesome! as long as the cost wouldn't make the service prohibitive I would definitely do that for all the clubs I buy, especially since it would make re-selling a lot easier too. one fella is having that problem right now in another thread trying to verify some Honma Beres 4 stars, but if they had something like that there wouldn't be any issue

The New SEVEN AG Putter
these are absolutely stunning question: what are the major differences between this putter and the Kyuzo.01? all I can tell is the weight (350g vs 360g), face mill, the lack of engravings/markings, and a very slight difference in shape

Spring cleaning - Super prices on remaining items!
I completely agree, that's why I was more interested in the heads only. I think the Monacos in those heads will be a sweet combo

Spring cleaning - Super prices on remaining items!
love those irons, just can't rationalize buying them at the moment with all the other TSG stuff I just got for start of the season :/ just out of curiosity though.. the PRGR irons are endo s20c correct? maybe if you ever decide to unshaft them and would like to sell the heads only maybe I could rationalize buying them. they look like a great set to have refinished by clubworks to make them look real sexy

Epon DOA .... no seriously
ya someone brought those up, along with a driver, in another thread post recently. I think they're supposed to be an Epon offshoot, or something of the sort, that's catering to older players/players with slower swing speeds by using lighter heads and stuff like that. the name 'Dead or Alive' and all that nonsense does make me want to puke though

Real or Fake Honma clubs
ah very good idea. my personal thought is that it's at least possible they're not authentic just based on the serial number from the shaft sticker and the one on the hossel of the iron pictured don't appear to be the same. but not having the clubs in hand I can't tell if they're individually numbered irons, and the number on the sticker actually does match the number on one of the heads, or not. I also can't speak from experience because I've never had a set of these before, just experience with verifying serial numbers to authenticate clubs in general. good luck with getting definite answer
