blade choices of recent times ............
i actually thought the same thing when i first got into KZG.. about a year ago i wound up with a bunch of single irons of different old forged models of theirs from when they were still made at Kyoei. i spent a lot of time demoing them cuz i was surprised right away how much i liked just about all of them, and i already knew i could acquire a brand new full-set of some of the old Kyoei forged heads for a really good price if i wanted to. the ones i liked the most were the ZO Blades, Tour Evolution's, and Forged Blades, and i wound up buying a set of the Forged Blades cuz i loved them and thought they felt so unique from other mb's i had hit before. KZG only ever portrayed two of their iron models as being made of forged s20c on their website, and they were the Forged Blades and CB-II's. these two models are also the only ones that have the most traditional and weakest lofts (both 48* PW). all of their other forged irons were listed as being made of s25c which is obviously consistent with Kyoei practice, and once they stopped using Kyoei they've since been listing their models as 1025 carbon steel. all other models also have stronger lofts. so it's absolutely possible that those two models were either mislabeled on the KZG website or they were straight up lying about the materials, but since they've been so consistent with correctly labeling every other model i can't say for sure. i'm further reinforced to think that they actually may be s20c since i've tried other KZG irons that i know are s25c and i can say with certainty that the Forged Blades and CB-II's have a feeling that is very unique and different from the other models; the Forged Blades are noticeably softer and more forgiving for their size than KZG's other mb's which are much larger, and same with the CB's. i clearly can't say for certain one way or the other, but my gut feeling is that they actually are s20c just cuz of how different they feel from every other Kyoei forged s25c iron or wedge i've ever hit. i also used to have VEGA mb's which had a drastically different feeling from these. of course my gut feeling could very easily be mistaken, so who knows

blade choices of recent times ............
my KZG iron heads were all made by Kyoei in 2006, but i know its been several years since they've been done there. they don't even offer this model anymore even though the picture is at the top of their website main page. mine are verified Kyoei cerca '06, came in Kyoei factory bags w weight hand written and everything. now, i do know Kyoei doesn't do any other s20c, but according to http://www.kzgolf.com/layout9.asp?id=588&page=31393&sid=748 which is the old webpage from KZG site that's what they claim these were made from and that's from back when they were made there. i also have some #3-5 irons of the old CB-II model which was the cb match for those heads (only other KZG head made of s20c, same lofts) http://www.kzgolf.com/-cavity-back-ii-old on the page for these KZG even mentions their double-forged in Japan

blade choices of recent times ............
i've been hitting Kyoei forged s20c KZG Forged Blades for a while now, even bought multiple sets, and even though it's a pretty old model i haven't tried ANY other iron, let alone just mb, that i've liked even half as much. gennerally the other mb's i've liked the most have also been s20c forged; these heads are mostly small-size, sharp to semi-sharp angles, thin topline, minimal offset, and i very much prefer the feel/control/feedback of forged s20c to anything else i've come across. keeping this in mind, the iron models i'm current most interested in are the following: -CGS Orion Himeji x Tsubame -Mystery MC-10 Type 1 -Epon AF-Tour MB (very much like the look of the Epon P2's and gave them serious consideration but they're a smidge larger than i'd like and have in my opinion a bit too much offset) other mb irons i've been intereted in (forged s25c, ect): -Buchi 2014 MB -Three Luck Muscle Back -Crazy MB -Honma TW727M or 717M -Modart Suda Blade (oddly never hear any mentions of these) -Masda Fast Muscle -Royal Collection ProZX -Any SEVEN mb/blade -2015 Yamaha TourModel MB some older mb's that i'd also love to get my hands on: -Yonex Ti-Hybrid Forged MB -2013 Tourstage X-Blade 905 Forged MB -OnOff LaboSpec CB358 Forged -2013 PRGR iD nable Tour Forged

The Seven MB is back in stock - White Satin Blades!
would it be possible for you to post a picture comparing these heads' size/shape side-by-side with a traditional/smaller size mb head like a MG MB-5003 or something comparable? just looking to get an idea as to whether these are more a of mid-size mb, or maybe mid/small mb, or mid/large mb. i've been absolutely in love w these iron heads ever since i first saw them, the beautiful and unique back design, shape and grind are all very pleasing to the eye, and i very much prefer the feel/control/feedback of s20c irons to anything else i've come across. i just prefer a small to mid/small size mb head so i wasn't sure if these would be exactly what i'm looking for. even if you don't have any smaller mb heads to take comparison pics of, any insight you can offer into this matter would be much appreciated. for reference, the main other mb's i've been considering are the CGS Orion Himeji x Tsubame, Mystery MC-10 Type 1, and Epon AF-Tour MB. so if you can provide any comparison feedback between the X Shinagawa MB's and any of those models that'd be the best i coul d hope for any feedback at all for any of the models i mentioned is also appreciated

Miura Golf CB-2008 Irons
myself and some buddies have been wondering if Miura Giken was purchased as well as Miura Golf; is this indeed the case and these irons are one of the first new-release models under the new ownership? if so, are the new limited y grind mb-5005's the first iron model released by the new ownership? just curious. it seemed like miura giken came out with the Hayate driver and matching fairway wood right before they were bought, and i'm wondering what if any difference the recent purchase will have on the company's products

5w shaft R flex
i have a tour issue Matris 8M3 Black Tie in stiff flex. i know it's not JDM but it has the tour issued serial number laser etched under the graphics and it's a one-time professionally pulled. if you're intereted i can send pics. it's .335 tip i have a UST Mamiya Attas 80s shaft as well. i also realize that both of these shafts are listed as stiff flex but i found that they both felt softer than stiff which is the only reason i stopped using them, and they both saw almost no actual use. this one is also one-time professional pull and .335 tip. will send pics and measure for length if there's any interest. if not no worries
