I know we sold a lot of these but where are the reviews? Is it too cold to play? I wanted to wait before posting my comments but can't hold my tongue anymore. 5 rounds in and these should be in the bag for a very long time. The size is just right, just perfect. The previous Yamaha Tour Model CB's were not forgiving enough for me to hit consistently well. It seems Yamaha is playing it smart this time by putting a wider gap between the MB and this CB as far as player level goes. Don't get me wrong a PGA Tour player could totally rock this and still be in bliss. Are they good? Yes! Are they great? Yes! How good? Flippin Fantastic! I really do think Yamaha has made their best CB to date. Well for my game anyway. In hand they are not as big as previous pics have shown, Offset is totally minimal and fits the size of these heads just perfectly. Can you tell I'm excited? The rounds just keep getting better and better the more I get into the groove with these. How do they feel? Not like other Yamaha's I've hit in the past. Think ONOFF Forged + Miura MB5000WC. If you hit last years Yamaha wedge these are more firm and pure but still oozing creamy goodness when center struck. I have some pictures of the 4/6/PW, please add your feedback, you like? don't? What would you like improved. I will say right now that I love almost everything about these except maybe the RMX stamping. enjoy the pics! smaller than you think just at the upper edge of compact players CB. The #4 iron is stunning only thing is that you can see just a little bit off the ass from above which isn't the case with the 5. Nice rounded sole, 5 rounds in I think they just glide through like no other. The sole is AF302 like imo. The 4 iron is very easy to hit. ONOFF Forged easy! Inside the cavity the toe & heel area tapers outward putting more meat along the perimeter weighting. The leading edge grind is subtle and smooth only seen in certain angles. If this is too much offset for you then you've got problem..jk but seriously offset is not an issue here, at least for me it isn't. Near perfect face shape, boxy, tear, smooth transitions all in one. The PW looks great and sets up even better. Impact is pure and the flight is a solid mid stable even in the short irons.

What types of things would you shoot the most?

If your new to photography you may want to go with a prosumer camera and not a professional camera. If all you want is power and you don't mind carrying a BEAST around the 800 or 800E is awesome! It's big and lugging around lenses is not easy at all. In fact you end up leaving your camera at home more when it's that big. I can't suggest a lens to you because I don't know what you shoot. I would say stay away from most zoom lenses. Prime's are the best. What I'm drooling over is the Ziess Otus 55 1.4 If your new to photography many of these items are like a 26hcp playing razor thin blades, you may want something more forgiving.

Leica is very special indeed and we should also throw in the Nikon DF which has the D4 sensor in it. It depends on what your going for really. I have a MKIII which is soft and snappy. I would always envy the sharpness of the D800E but was already invested in canon glass. So when the A7R comes around it has the D800E processor in it and an adapter that maintains auto focus, peaking, image stabilization and all the perks I'm on board. I can also use Nikon glass too! Also Leica is just too expensive, if your a gear junkie you get the body and go nuts on lenses. With Leica that's not as easy. The question is do you want a small or very big camera? Are you willing to give up focus IQ for a reduction in size? The A7 should be in the mix as well as that is the A99 sensor in it. That camera fixes most of the autofocusing issues that the A7® yet is slightly less sharp.

I've got the same, It's amazing. It can be a little too much detail at times, the autofocus is pretty bad so I use manual focus peaking most of the time. I picked up the metabones III adapter and put all my L glass on the A7R. It takes some of the softer canon lenses and cranks them sharp. I'll post pics shortly. Trouble with keeping RAW clean still it's so new. I consider this camera unforgiving.

I've got both now, The foam version is a mute and dense sensation, it feels classic and reminds me of older TourStage heads.. while the Nitro has that more modern metallic crunchy dense feel for me. I think if you already have a bunch of those types of feels try the foam, It's unique for this day bringing old together with new. I'll post some pics tomorrow. Ya Foam always has problems, If maniacal about heat management I could see someone getting 5+ pulls with no damage to the foam maybe 10 who knows. Way back Gauge JPN did a lot of foaming and would do other drivers brands heads for me, it's probably mental but I thought the foamed heads flew lower and straighter. I like this driver a lot too, I call my TRPX D & S "the twins", and here comes another pair trying to take their place.

Gauge Japan was the first company that I noticed using tungsten circular weights in putters, real tungsten, not the fake stuff or heavy metal. Scotty did the red dot before Gold's. Scotty mass produces their heads through a manufacturer. They also have the ability to make their own in smaller amounts. As far as who copied who? Again, Gold's is a mod shop that does what the customer requests so It would be the customer that requested "weights or milling" that resembled another brands product. An example would be Premium Milling by G-Field, some say its like Rife but actually its very different in spec, I was the person who requested Sasaya begin doing it aka PZ milling, Did I copy or did Gold's Copy?

You have the beast of the bunch. I think the E produces the sharpest photos of any camera with top class dynamic range. Now imagine that same sensor in the small A7R. Your also able to use metabones III adapters to use other brands lenses like Nikon & Canon while still maintaining autofocus & image stabilization.

Tario & I are big gadget and tech junkies. We talk about gadgets nearly as much as we talk golf clubs. I wanted to make a post about what I think are the best 3 cameras currently available that are not medium-format. I'm excluding brands like Leica & hasselblad. - Sony A7R - 36mp no AA. same Sensor as D800E but in a small package - able to use nearly any lenses with adaptor: Nikon/Canon/Ziess etc.. - Nikon D800E - 36mp no AA. sharpest best still images available today and killer dynamic range - Canon 5D mkIII - 22mp best performance at high ISO, low noise in darker settings, hackable with ability to shoot RAW Video, fast & snappy to use All of these are in the 2500-3000 range body only. So many of these speakers & subs just clutter up the room, Is there anything that can sit flush in wall for the minimalist? I haven't found a high quality in wall solution yet.

So many editions of Toyo wedges, Do you have pics of this one? I'm going to take a couple myself. Its the wedge that hasn't left my bag for well over a year.

I prefer the gen 2 over the first one for stamping reasons, The i-33 is pure and soft, I'm glad it doesn't have deep milling. For me 365g gives me fits on my usual fast greens. 340-345g with a nearly flat face is what works. 365 is for average to slow imo. Any of you guys do better with heavier putters on slower greens?

I'm collecting Boron shafts and FW80 shafts. Crazy has full stock, don't expect liquidations... we tried. They could still pull through all of this if they find the right partner. Tario didn't you find more Toyoshima wedges when you were digging around in their stock room?

Not sure who made the head exactly. Many putters look similar from different makers. Its J.I.S SUS303 which is in make up exactly the same as GSS in mineral content. I suggest taking a putter your already familiar with, figuring out what you like, don't like and what's missing, have that modded and then compare.

When you foam a head you only have a handful of reshafts before it begins to rattle. Hot melt is more about weight than feel although it does change sound a little. I've played the D & S extensively. For me and the others who I have watched hit them the D provides just a hair less spin and has the lower flight. The S is the one I should be playing though, I usually miss toward the toe and the S takes care of me better. This is shaft for shaft both using the TRPX messenger in stiff with heavier crazy weights in both heads.

They way I've seen foam work done is by putting little beads into the head then sticking it into a small oven, the beads turn into a foam when heated. I've never witnessed any other way, have you guys?

There are two of these right the Tornado 7 which is a hybrid type and the Type-I which is the Iron type. Anyway we are bringing both in ASAP to shoot and trial. DNA 340 & K2K bring back memories :)
