  1. Those are one of a kind ya know. Originally I bought them brand new years ago in the standard flat black finish and I sent them for a refinish in Himeji. No other Maru wedges are brushed satin like those. Congrats I totally forgot who had them.
  2. I've been playing the Ryoma Special Tune + Crazy Mofo ( CB-46 ) for some time now and decided to test out a new driver the AF-103 shafted with the new Diamana B-Series in stiff. I'll post some pics in a few days but my initial impressions after 3 full rounds and a little bit of range time is very positive. The feel is the biggest improvement over the AF-102, when hit on the screws it's got a little bit of that 460ZR feel to it the two are definitely related. No complaints in the looks department it hides its 460cc size well and sets up square or at least the one I have did. The ball flight seems a little higher than the 102 I hit some time back. It was hard to judge distance against my Ryoma as the shafts are different and the Ryoma is high cor. The 103 can hold it's own and the B-Series feels good, it's stable yet you can feel a slight load and unload of the shaft. I'll be posting more info as the rounds go on. I'm temporarily putting the Ryoma on the shelf... not selling it just benching her in the sake of testing the AF-103. I've been awfully loyal to the Ryoma it's time I give some other drivers some air time. more to come...
  3. Haha. Cruel! It means UK customs is checking it out. Call them give them your tracking number tell them you paid for express shipping and u want it sent out now!
  4. Thanks yes that makes sense, different flex has slightly different weights.

Roddio is sensitive to tipping it's done in mm based on your desired CPM. It's not your normal shaft when it comes to installation. Also each shaft has different mm tipping instructions. In regards to Crazy shaft's and spine. Logo up and down that's it. I'm interested to what hear what your noticing with the Crazies. I'm not sure what Quadra says... perhaps T can chime in here.

Will find out next month, 1 year ago they were on the verge of releasing something great. That hasn't come yet although I still think the I-10 iron shaft is fantastic. It seems they are only producing one off's for their tour pro's at the moment.
  7. I'm playing the EGGHD with Crazy FW80, previously it had the Fubuki in it. It's a bit low for me, not as long as the normal egg. The FW80 really keeps it in check, dead straight very penetrating. I'm thinking of going back to the Ryoma now after reading this post.
  8. Are you saying the blue does have spec differences when compared to the red?
  9. Honma is an amazing company, A lot of history in Japan's golf market, they produce some of the softest castings ever but many of Honma's Titanium heads & Forgings are made elsewhere, and thats fine. Other brands can claim similar for example Srixon does their own forgings, Endo/Epon literally does there own forgings, Himeji factories... A lot of Honma's stuff is completed in Japan not 100% produced there. The key is in design + materials + technology. Honma has the facility to create the best clubs but yet they don't. Similar to how S-Yard used to be #1 and still has every capability to become #1 but fell off the map due to some bad design decisions... btw, S-Yard is positioned to make a return with Kobayashi-san now in charge. Good move on their part! Honma has made the same mistakes, which is a pitty because I would love to see them come back stronger than ever. They do make very solid products, many of which I like a lot. They could really use the help from people like us here at TSG but obviously they cater to a different market. imo Honma has a brand image issue as well. Many think it's for older rich golfers when they have some fairly priced for the technology models for athlete golfers. I love the shape of the Beres Pro Irons but that red sphere gotta go. When it comes to what you saw on that video with the carbon shaft's the unique thing was the the step near the end where they added their own ARMRQ layer. I understand it's use but haven't felt a major advantage. Really the Mind blowingly awesome shaft manufacturing would be Daiwa's Roddio, hands down the best. Why don't they make the best shafts? because their focus is in an entirely different industry, fishing rods. Hey Roddio! Just release new shaft's already! Then there is Crazy which does everything you saw in the video there plus a couple more steps and use higher grade base carbon but they don't have that final layer. That layer is supposedly very expensive to make though. not easy either and I believe another Japanese company makes that for them. Not sure if it were Honda or Toyota or something... I forget. We do have our annual meetings at the factories coming up in a little over a month. If we could compile list of questions to ask the chief engineers and designers that would be cool.
  10. I agree and get excited for people when they buy Romaro irons and woods. They perform, feel great. Severly underrated brand and i cant wait fore more people to try them this year.
  11. Thanks for the feedback. We just received the new Glorie and will be posting pics shortly. This one is very different than last years model.
  12. RF700 Blade by Geotech. I called it a Neo-Blade because it's pretty forgiving, More so than the Personals or AF-Tours I think. A little less forgiving than Geotech's Quelot MB's. Lot's of Geotech postings in the last week, The demo's for our shop accounts have arrived and before sending them out I had to snap pics. We are still actively looking for accounts so if you know of a shop that wants to carry JDM brands let us know. To quality for Epon, Romaro, & Crazy they have to be well established but we have several other brands that most shops can get approved for.
  13. I'm playing Personal / KB Tours and am waiting for ONOFF forged w/ Monacos. I didn't do so well with Modus in a couple of sets recently.
  14. You know your set is limited when its sold out never to be made again, it's resale value is sky high and people are buying more than 1 because they love them to pieces.
  15. You can try but I'm sure the answer is no. And why would it matter outside of curiosity?
  16. That putter is awesome! Thats from the old days of GF. Send that sucker in!
  17. I would have loved them to release the 460ZR as the RF-460. That's one re-hash I would have been happy about. In regards to the Zen, I believe there are are more than 5 that were found we will see how long they take to sell. I've had a few people asking whats the #/300 on it. The Zen doesn't have any stamping on it designating that. Broken tooling, who knows how that happened it sucks though as that driver is one of my all time favorites. Next month I'll be saying, guess what guys we found more personal irons...jk
  18. So the Epon Personals are sold out and were told never to be produced again. They will surely go down as one of Epons best ever... More bad news? Yes the Original Gangsta driver the Epon 460ZR, the mold was damaged beyond repair at ENDO... Never again :o( Ready for some Good News? in Storage we found a case in the corner that we thought was 2011 Tour Bags. When opened we were ecstatic to find a bunch of Epon Zen putters new in box. Last new Zens anywhere, if u need one let me know! They won't last long.
  19. Sad day, I know a few folks yesterday who were on the verge of ordering Personals this week. I guess this made their choice easy.
  20. Here's another Geotech Iron I just posted that has two weights heel & toe:
  21. A Few days ago I shared images of the SWS forged Iron. This is the SWS Tour model. It has a different shape, grind, & weighting system. It allows you to adjust the feel & bias via weight screws that you can change. Very cool concept that is being implemented very well imo.
  22. I know George Takei pretty well for over 10 years. He IS a fantastic designer! Better than most. What I respect the most is he creates new designs and always comes out with new product and believes in quality. When it comes to the JDM putter industry he is a big part of it. Way back with the original gauge design he got Darren Eggars together as his first designer, then Masayuki Sasaya of GF, then David Whitlam of Gauge Design USA all worked for George Takei at some point. Gauge Design JPN went out of biz, then came G-Field which was a fantastic company.. I still believe the Premium Zone putters are some of the best ansers made in terms of feel and roll, and Now onto George Spirits. It appears he has learned a lot over the years on how to handle his business but only time will tell. Bottom line is the guy makes good product. Now I do have to admit there has always been controversy that follows him due to business relations but this time he is partnered with a huge Japanese investor not individual personalities... He is also releasing products at a more conservative pace. To answer your question xxio, GT has designed everything since the later years of GDJ into G-Field into G.Spirits, I've seen him design, work with cad programmers & grind irons, wedges, and putters. Sasaya already owned Golds Factory before working with George, Darren Eggars is out of the industry and David Whitlam still runs Gauge USA.
  23. This get's pretty close to a blade in terms of profile. Made in Japan and available heads only or custom shafted. 5-PW runs $459.00 or add the 3 & 4 for just $160.00 more. Original weight is a single 4 gram weight. Special requests can be made for a 2.5, 5.5, or 7 gram weighting.
  24. Sound Slots on putters tend to not feel so good. If you had the same putter minus the slit then it would feel fantastic.
  25. I'm not even sure if we can still get them new, gotta as Tario on that one. The limited or proto's are all the same price. That's still cheaper than the new GF wedges although with those you have options of finish, milling, etc..
