I dont believe nor do the shaft companies or the majority of PGA or JPGA tour players do either. We have been asking for years (at the factory) and can't find anyone in Japan who buys into it. The only positive thing they say is it "might" help with the really poorly designed shafts but even then if it's designed properly even shafts made of the lowest quality materials don't need it.

Such a pretty course! Sorry about the shaft. Crazy's warranty policy is you have to be the 1st owner who purchased it brand new and it broke from normal use. We word it with them pretty carefully. No guarantee's all we can say is we try even if your not the 1st owner.

Sorry old post. There's no way I would consider an SST lease anymore.

Your right, we dont know and it could be hard for them to judge as well. Was it a snap sound or did it just break apart? Looks like a pretty clean break from the pics. Every break we have seen came from above the ferrule usually when leaning on the club, hitting the ground or during transport. Buying new is definitely worth it for the warranty We've never seen anything like this before. Good luck we will try to get them to replace it for you.

That has nothing to do with Crazy if it broke near center like that.
  6. I used to think that performance was maxed, then the Ryoma D-1 was born. 2 things stand out for this driver are the monocoque body and most importantly 60 grams in the rear. I've spoken to the factory insiders and its unanimous that the Ryoma is a truly special design and yes even the guys and Endo think so. There are other monocoque body drivers, not many but when you combine that with a super hot face then the 60G's in the back designers believe its a game changer. Then there are Crazy shafts with more active tips although more fragile, that and the really aggressive shaft profiles/design & expensive materials they have been able to get even more distance provided you select the right model and combine it with the right head. Then finally lots of this is mental. A new driver does release dopamine into the brain which releases pleasure signals just like expensive scotch, or wine, or a watch. The more expensive, rare, exotic, and limited gives you a bigger high!
  7. aw man, now i gotta swap shafts in my Personals.
  8. As soon as the 2013 chart comes out we will translate that into english for everyone.
  9. What country are you in and where do you see them available as heads only?
  10. Lol. Ya it is early. Most TSG'ers ordered with custom shafts I believe that's why things are lagging. I've got my head only sitting in the workshop. I don't have a shaft for it except a basalius pull. I guess I can slap that one in for giggles and see how it goes. I'm waiting for the Diamana B series to arrive.
  11. I think the pro forged irons rival the Personals, It's very close, Romaro makes some good stuff no doubt and agree with u guys on the wedges feeling more firm than the irons. From what I understand is that a firmer wedge is usually by design. I believe this is done intentionally during the annealing process. I've been told on many occasions that you don't want wedges uber soft. I've got a demo of the pro forged iron and hit back to back against the personals I give the Pro Forged the edge in setup as its more knife like, feel is softer too but not as "pure". Which is subjective of course. I give the advantage to the personals in forgiveness by a good margin though. 460 vs 435, well i like the spin rate on the 435 as it seems a tad less and I also like the trajectory. Feel is a toss up both are really good. The 435 has that more muted solid impact while the 460 is a softer hollow, not the softest but still nice for me.
  12. Yes I know pre orders are over 7 right now. We were told if it was pre ordered this week its almost guarantee it will ship and if after that it's not.
  13. Welcome to the forum kaayell! I suggest you look at: Epon Personals AF-Tour Pre Order the 2013 Yamaha Tour Model ( maybe sold out already so ask T ) Romaro Pro Forged MB or Ray H Forged Yururi Flat Back MB
  14. We found out about them 2-3 years ago and decided to not offer the brand. If your going to pay high end prices you want to make sure your getting the most for your money.
  15. Yamaha accounts in Japan get 1 set of irons only of the Tour Models. TSG usually gets 5-10 sets. I just ordered mine. 3-PW w/ Modus3 & the driver with GT-6 Stiff, although I don't even know what that shaft is. I missed it last time and I won't let that happen again!
  16. Second Ramsay restaurant I've been to. The first in London was just so so. In Vegas his new one Steak was off the hook. Decor, Service, and Food was excellent. Highly Recommend if your in LV! Sonoma Farms Foie Gras - pan seared foie gras, Harry's Berries strawberry jam, English muffin, home made bacon bits. Maine Lobster - chorizo stuffed Maine lobster, butter poached and brandied lobster cream sauce, sweet corn. 3 of our favorite sides here - fingerling potatoes, fire roasted corn, and mac & cheese. roasted beef wellington - glazed root vegetables, potato puree, red wine demi-glace. American Kobe Steak - Rib Cap with a BMS #10 rating ordered RARE + Sticky Toffee Pudding - sweet pudding cake, brown sugar toffee, brown butter ice cream
  17. I remember TSG ordering that putter for you, I remember it being the only putter I've ever seen you play while just about everything else in your bag has shuffled around. Your putter sure did deserve this make over. Simply stunning!
  18. The 502's are really a milestone in golf club technology, other brands have used vibration absorbing material in heads but alpha gel is on a whole other level. OEMs have ordered the 502 iron just to take it apart and see how it's done. I still prefer the 551/501 because it has a better setup (for me) and also provides more feel at impact but I hope when Epon does make a 503 they utilize the same gel but just distribute it differently so it doesn't feel as numb. I also think if they made a more compact iron with alpha gel more people would like it. The 502 has superior feel on poorly struck shots.
  19. Corky, I would buy them back. PM me!
  20. In the last 6 months I've been somewhat of a wedge fanatic. It all started back at the 2012 Japan Golf Fair or what we at TSG call the "Tokyo Show" where so many new Forged Japan only offerings were highlighted by Major OEMs. The most exciting were the Taylormade Japan Only "FORGED" ATV wedges in a beautiful Dark IP Satin finish in contrast the standard release was cast and didn't have such a sexy finish. Then there was the Japan Only "FORGED" Titleist Vokey TVD and after some serious delays and back orders I finally got a custom set built to my specs. When it came to surprises at the Tokyo Show these two forged wedges hit the mark. The Forged ATV, Its forgiving, modern, and beautiful not to mention very easy to hit. It has a wide sole that you could still play it off of tighter lies. I also tried the 64* lob and still to this date is it the easiest bunker club I've ever experienced, From anywhere else though a 64* is a pain in the butt and requires perfect angles of striking. Although this forged model felt better than the standard release cast version and looked much better it still didn't have the soft rewarding feel I am accustomed to hitting in Japanese wedges and irons. If it did I would probably still have them in the bag. These lasted a couple of months in my bag, very good wedges indeed. Vokey Forged: It's soft forged of S20C by ENDO and feels superb. This one is an extremely hot seller here at TSG with many back orders but customers were patient and now they are readily available again. The word I would use to sum these up is Versatile and especially when it comes to opening the face. It's as if the grind would fit a tour pro but it's forgiving enough to hit clean for any level of player. The face isn't overly compact and It's pretty much in a nut shell the softest & best feeling Vokey TVD Titleist has ever produced. Comparing these to the Forged ATV's I enjoyed the feel of these but the forgiveness of the sole of the ATV's. I'd still take these Titleist any day over anything other than the Crazy's. So It's obvious I chose the Limited Edition Crazy Toyoshima wedges. I played them for over 6 months back 3 years ago when the first version was available. These things sell out within 30-60 days most of the time. The grind is simple and visually reminds me of the ONOFF S-Forged but they play nothing alike. The Tokyoshima's have such a soft heavy feel to them and are compact yet more forgiving than both the JDM ATV & Vokey. They setup perfectly for my eye. The leading edge is blunted but not overly rounded, conditions have been soft here and one of my concerns about these was digging but so far that hasn't been the case. After my very first round with these they made the cut. I'm on round five or six now and consistency of chips and bump shots have improved greatly. I'm playing them with Satin KBS Tours at 1.5* flat with Crazy Iomic grips. More pics below:
  21. Excited for you! For the clubs and omg your home tracks of Fire & Earth are Heaven on Earth! Gotta share this picture I'm fascinated with this place.
  22. They are not from Honma, I would just stay away better safe than sorry. Already so many choices that smoke these. Another red flag is although it says "made in Japan" many of the references and dealers are in China.
  23. As far as I know it's a different face material that makes it different.
