The New SEVEN CB
Its closer to the 302 in size yet with less offset, forgiveness is similar, feel is totally different, shape is better than the 302, its made better and to a tighter tolerance. I think you will notice its softer all over the face where as the 302 gets firmer the further out you miss. With the SEVENs good shots are rewarded with an impact where the ball feels like it compresses spongy and launches hot off the face.

The New SEVEN CB
Black IP done in Japan is sooo quality but its also very expensive. Its actually a plated finish first then the black IP process after so its very durable and pretty scratch resistant.

The New SEVEN MCB
We are sending the CB and MCB around for people to experience. We want members to compare them to the best the market has to offer. The face shape is totally different from the CB. The MCB looks noticeably easier to hit while still compact.

The Japan Vokey Forged Wedge 2017
It seems like Vokey Wedges are everywhere! For the last 15 years, Vokey wedges have been a dominant force on tour. They are probably the most widely used wedges in the world at this point. Introducing the 2017 Vokey Design Forged Wedge! Are these Forged Wedges similar to the global model SM6s? Think again! This is the 3rd generation Japan model Vokey Design Forged Wedge. Previous generation models were very popular among JDM fans. So let’s take a closer look at this all new Vokey Forged Wedge to see what’s different over the previous gen forged models as well as the global SM6 wedges, shall we? First off, the SM6 are cast 8620 Carbon Steel and the Vokey Design Forged Wedge, as the name suggests, are Forged Carbon Steel. As many of you know, forged carbon steel provides that exceptional dense buttery feel at impact which many golf enthusiasts around the world crave shot after shot. That part is nothing new to us. From the outside, the shape is very traditional and frankly similar looking to past Vokey wedges other than the slightly added offset with the 2017 Vokey Design Forged Wedge. This subtle offset should help inspire confidence for those seeking added forgiveness in a wedge. The biggest change that sets this new Vokey Forged apart from other forged wedges in the market today is the internal weighting structure. Similar to the 716 CB and 716 AP2 irons, these Forged Wedges have Titanium and Tungsten weight elements co-forged which moves the CG to an optimum location to improve shot consistency for each loft setting. The approach used by the SM6 is different. They strategically altered the thickness of the back face to move the CG up and down. With the Forged Wedges, the weight was moved internally which allowed them to keep a clean traditional look on the back face. Other notable features include TX4 grooves with added parallel milling for enhanced spin performance as well as a pre-worn leading edge for a smoother turf interaction. The new Vokey Forged Wedge really looks good at address. A familiar teardrop shape with the slightest offset, which really isn’t much if you actually look at it. Traditional looks will appeal to the most discerning players. Most would find it an easy switch from their current gamers. Available in Satin Chrome (48 to 60 in 2 deg increments) and Black PVD finishes (50 52, 56, 58 only) , they are also available as Right Hand only. In the more popular lofts, you can choose from F, M and K grinds for your specific needs. If you are a Titleist fan, ( and who isn’t? ) and you want to stay with Vokey wedges but want something JDM and high-tech than your next door neighbor’s Vokey wedges, the 2017 Vokey Design Forged Wedge is a sensible choice. After all it is arguably the most trusted brand name in short game. You can purchase the new forged vokey in 2 finishes and a variety of different lofts and CG options here

JOP putter grip
I like JOP as well and have used them for many rounds. The only negative I have is the seam that runs down both sides.

The New SEVEN MCB
They were supposed to arrive late March. We just got them this weekend. Back orders filled, a few sets left in full body milled or hand polished body. It is a beautiful thing this iron; one piece milled entirely from a block of Japanese steel. It's every angle is perfectly shaped by computer controlled milling. Our CG locations and CAD produced using an HD-3D NX7 software. The resin prototypes shaved by hand to determine its final form. Getting excited? The new MCB Mid-sized players cavity back by SEVEN Golf. Once you hold one of the new generation SEVEN Irons CB or MCB in hand, you will see the difference in quality, shape, and detail. These are on a different level when compared to SEVENs previous products, and the brand is committed to reproducing the entire line up so the performance, feel, and design is consistent with these new irons. The face shape plays a significant role in how well these perform. It's not chunky in any one area and balanced well throughout. We selected particular irons from other makers to compete with and uncover what attributes allow smaller sized heads pack ample forgiveness. The concept I came up with is I call stacked metal, and it means no portion of the head should be too thin or thick, all dimensions must be flowing with consistent thickness throughout. This allows it to be thick and dense yet still compact. The clubs in these photos are prototypes let me explain; The new SEVEN CB and MCB come in full milled body or hand polished body options. Both are made the same way its just an extra step is taken in the hand polished version to remove the intricate milling found over the club heads entire surface. It's personal preference, and we do not charge any more for the polished version. We sell more full body milled than polished, yet I play polished. What else is different is there no bead blast within the cavity we selected a beautiful and quality bead blast to go inside the cavity to give it a more refined look. I will post pics later, the new heads have just arrived at TSG, and we are shipping all back orders of the MCB immediately. Several other prototypes were made to test different shapes even an undercut cavity. We found no improvement in forgiveness with an undercut versus without. It features a very thick cavity yet on the sole does not look wide. No other mid-sized players CB has this little offset. This is the same face progression you would find in a compact players blade and while yes offset is our friend one of the most overwhelming requests in a mid-sized CB is the absolute the least amount of offset possible for good performance. FP 4.5-5.5 through the set! We set out to make a shape, feel, and forgiveness that would rival or better irons like the previous ONOFF KURO, Titleist VG3 Forged, Callaway Stenson's, and an elite group of others which we defined as the benchmark. We have surpassed our expectations in not only each of the categories we initially set out to conquer but one area especially surprised and it was a noticeable quality difference. Above the full body milled version shows off whats truly unique about the new SEVEN CB and MCB irons Full CNC, and this is not just an effect or milling over a shaped head this is the entire hosel, neck, and all transitions transformed into the AutoCAD design. Precision done in Japan. A deep cavity is hidden beneath a mid-size sole. The MCB's sole design is flatter and wider with a killed leading edge it can support the better player who wants forgiveness or, the more casual golfer who still appreciates a nice looking club at address. The leading edge is pronounced it supports players with a slightly steeper attack angle yet will please semi shallow sweepers with ease. How do these feel? Soft for sure, some of our advanced testers use the word addictive. The entire face has CNC milling on milled grooves which change the relationship with vibration time and feel much like a putter with deeper milling feels softer at impact. But that is not the only way these feel different because these are not pressed or forged to shape the entire face feels like butter at impact. Not gushy soft but a cold firm dense stick of butter. In the chart below you can see the MCB has the least amount of offset in its segment. The Lofts are traditional by today's standards with a 47* PW. You may also notice that we have a set dedicated AW, We see most players have distances gap issues between their PW and first blade wedge, so we created a 50* to supplement and highly recommend this as it will save you some strokes. The AW has a more narrow sole which allows the player to open it up the same way consistently. This is another area where the CB and MCB are different. The CB as it moves into the wedges gets a thicker sole while the MCB gets more narrow we found this a unique way to give the MCB some extra points with the better player. I play the MCB, and my favorite club is the AW. I used to hit my PW about 125 yds yet my AW only 110 yards, muscling up or de-lofting was rarely a smart decision. The 15-yard gap of missing distance seemed to be a popular one for me on course. I had this issue, and so did many of our customers. We avoided creating short irons that were shovels at all costs. Even our cavity design 50* wedge looks like a blade wedge and matches the feel, performance, and distances of the full iron set. By using CNC to produce the shape, the neck transitions are perfect the top line thickness is consistent from heel to toe, and with a CNC milled face, you can be sure it is totally flat. Even our finish is better, we took many leading brands even Japanese irons and tested our finish against their using nails, razor blades, hammers, and hitting sand balls the durability is the best of any plating we have seen. If you're feeling sadistic please, by all means, put it to the test. The Japan and Korean markets will be receiving limited edition double gold IP heads with mist bead blast, and black paint fill so stay tuned for those! The New SEVEN MCB is now shipping and ( available here ) - Remember that the final version has subtle improvements over the prototypes ones used in these photos. The inner area of the cavity has a beautiful bead blast which makes them look more expensive.

The Benock Putter Thread!
Yes now you can. please email me. I know your going to like the JSS option. It actually stands for JUN's stainless steel after the owner of benock Jun Okuda-san, but anyway this is technically SUS316L which is an upgrade over standard JIS 303 which is already equal to Scotty's GSS btw. You can take one of any Benock design and select options or even actual design changes. This way will be the most popular choice at 1k -5k, or you can go full fresh design of your dreams starting at 5k up to 10k. I can sell now but the full announcement is a couple of months out. We are putting together options lists and ordering guide/process because the freedom of design with these are immense. Below a mallet i must have.

The Benock Putter Thread!
A couple more angles, In this situation it seems the customer needed the neck more forward and moved closer to the toe side. Also I see they needed extra weight on the toe side so they heightened to a sharper point. The fitting likely determined this along with the neck height and angle. This putter also has a sole angle so it sits flat without closing at address if grounded.

Gotta agree, Pings are no joke, performance is great, their drivers are awesome. It just doesn't feel good watching this.

The Benock Putter Thread!
I wanted to start a single mega thread to explain benock and what makes Okuda-san's putters so special. This is not the official write up, we are a few months out on that still but I will be posting pics of some beautiful custom putters so feel free to jump in with any questions you may have. Compare them to the very best and expect them to beat it. Every Benock putter can be different based on the needs of the player, many of the shapes are one-offs.

I actually messed this one up. The back face shot is not the same putter as all other angles. They both look similar but the angles belong to :

This is actually with full body mill, its just hard to see with this lighting.

The New SEVEN CB
Yes, our lie/loft changes are done at the factory using a specific machine and custom jig so there are no marks whatsoever.
-
My next benock putter
This will be my 3rd putter from Okuda-san and as someone who designs putters and has access to just about any factory to make them there is a very clear pecking order of who is the best especially in terms of manufacturing capabilities. Nothing comes close to Benock. Where scotty just recently increased the price of his 009.M due to his investment in a 5 Axis machine benock has always had 4 of them. When tour players on the PGA need a new putter scotty, bett, etc.. dont produce the player a totally custom design to fit every need. They take what they have and adjust it. Benock offers services not even the tour players get and they offer it to every customer. I have a mallet and anser from benock both hands down the best I have ever experienced they put I've owned all to shame. This time while at his factory I found a shape and when I went home I could not stop thinking about it. Here is an example of the shape I want although mine will look different when complete. Okuda-san knows this is not the putter I should play based on my fitting but I already have what I need so its now time for what I want.

My Benock Putter #1
We can make you this.

My Benock Mallet
We are bringing Benock to the world soon! It only took 3 years to negotiate the system but its finally done! You guys are about to have access to the best putters in the world. Scotty, Tyson Lamb, Bettinardi have nothing on Okudas putters, they don't have the technology, machines, materials, and maniacal passion. Tour players are not even getting custom cad design and now you guys can!

KYOEI Blade Pics!
I assure you no #3 irons have been made. This is something that can be done in the future, there is also a #2 iron mold. But at the moment no 3's are in production.

- KYOEI Blade Pics!
We are down to our last 2 chrome mirror sets. Raw black is gone. We are pushing Kyoei to hurry with more. We prioritize customers over dealers right now we are down 2 sets back orders for TSGers yet down 40 sets for golf shops.- Acro Fiber driver shaft from RomaRo
softer and great feel, weight is decent in the high 50s to 60 range. very smooth easy feel I can suggest these for someone who wants this weight and has a bad shot of a slice. not the best for someone who hooks the ball. - KYOEI Blade Pics!
