The "P" model is the most forgiving in the TourWorld line up It is the only cast iron of the TW737 series. Honma has been a leader in golf specific castings for decades and is implementing a new soft iron casting manufacturing method. Honma has also thinned out the top line yet still managed to keep the CG low. The face itself is a hot hybrid steel material for improved distance. Behind the impact zone Honma has strengthend and thickened the area for a softer more mild impact. The TW737P is the most forgiving of the TW series, then one step more forgiving is the BeZeal line up followed by the Beres models for seniors, smoother, and female golfers.

Thanks everyone. My Folks made the move to the Pacific North West fine. While the first drug nearly killed him (Votrient) The immunotherapy drug Opdivo in just a few weeks made all his cancer nodules disappear. There are some pretty harsh side effects even 4 weeks after he got off the Opdivo. It takes steroids to manage them but you can't take those forever unfortunately. Now the hard part is teaching the parents to eat healthy and get more physical activity. So he went from having many nodules and a short time to live to not having any nodules... The testing continues. His first battle with cancer was 4 years in between with no signs. Also had my baby boy just before xmas :) Now it's almost time to return to Japan again... I appreciate everyone's support. I appreciate everyone sharing and showing that I'm not alone in this. It's time for pops to reture his TourStage TS-202's with S300's for something like the PRGR Super Eggs or Yammy UD+2's with carbon.

I must stress with rules and restrictions all drivers are within 5-10yds of each other. Its how a particular head, shaft, build fits your swing.

Yup we got good feedback. XD drivers are ok. Players drivers for sure, even the 460 isn't as forgiving as one would expect. The irons are on the firmer side, but the shape and performance have only gotten positive reviews all by better stronger players. Not a single negative review.

The clubs are made differently, with different materials and process. One is cast, the other is forged, stamping vs engraving, different finishes on top of that. I'm not making an assumption I'm just telling you how it is. I don't want TSG'ers misinformed.

Finished at the same place by the same people at Sakata. one is half mirror the other is full chrome + 2 different bead blasts to remove any glare. Any difference is purely intentional.

Yes I'm touting the Cast! Especially when it comes to Honma and I believe! Honma already had the TW727M blade which was a small, narrow and workable choice so a blade that offered more forgiveness and larger dimensions was great next move. The new TW-BM in comparison with the 727M has a taller and wider face. Professional JPGA star Hideto Tanihara asked Honma to enlarge the head of the TW717M to try an MB that was forgiving. Instead of simply enlarging the size of the head they completely redesigned the blade from the ground up using CAD to optimize the CG. While most of the male professional golfers use steel shaft for the irons, Hideto Tanihara uses “VIZARD IB” because of the “forgiveness of the carbon shaft”. The Vizard IB has amorphous metal fiber in it which is why it tends to play stiff to flex. Tanihara plays the special order Vizard IB 105 which TourSpecGolf can get for you by request. It's super accurate with better distance and feel than steel shafts. Overall the head that is longer by 4.0 millimeters and taller by 3.5 millimeters than the TW727M. It's softer yet it's Cast. Honma has a strong history of producing golf specific castings that feel fantastic. It's great to see them back to their roots and taking a different path in a sea of Forged MB's. Son't get me wrong I'm a forged fiend myself but before I knew these were cast I hit them and said they feel incredible. It's hard to tell the difference, it feels like a really good forged club. The TW-BM can only be ordered with the Vizard IB series shafts because that is how they were able to optimize the size, cg locations and performance of this model. All other TW737 clubs we can custom order with most steels for you but the MB is supposed to be played with the IB which it was designed to. That said, I bet so many shafts would be great with these heads. You may have noticed that these are not stock clubs. TSG is passionate about our gear so how could I not opt for the black nickel finish. TourSpecGolf can custom order you Satin, Mirror, Half Mirror and Black Nickel also known as Black Mirror. The sole on Honma's TW-BM is narrow and curved just right. While the 737 series plays nice with each other as far as building a combo set the TW-BM is best served stand alone in a full set. Part of making this club more forgiving is the face progression aka offset. It has a decent amount to it. This is something Japanese blades were always known for, recently Epon's P2's was bold enough to bring back the offset to a classic blade. The TW-BM doesn't have a lot but it's noticeably more than most straight necks and for good reason. Offset in blades help make the club more forgiving and they also play a hand in feel some say along with loft. Here's a shot of the special order IB105 shafts that Tanihara plays and TSG can special order for our customers. This shaft isn't advertised as an option. Everyone always wonders about the PW when it comes to blades, the shape is so important, no shovels please. Honma nailed it on the shape as well. This PW is one of my favorite clubs in the set, It saved me many strokes during a round it feels so soft and it's so forgiving especially with a carbon shaft. The lofts on these are fair with the PW coming at 46*. They only sell these 4-10 ( Honma calls PW #10 ) The FP #'s are 3.75 in the long and 4.25 in the short. To give you an idea straight neck is about 5 ish. Standard length is 38.125" on the five. Made in Japan :). The feel is soft in the center and semi soft moving outward. It's not harsh on mishits and remind me of Mizuno but a little firmer. I prefer this feel over the MP-5's anyway. Face shape is perfect, Honma really knows how to curve edges and make soles. The short irons are perfectly sized and shaped. I think this irons only hang ups are that they don't match the rest of the 737 series for a combo set along with the requirement they come shafted with Vizard IB 95 or special order 105's. I'm thankful for the finish options though. If you made it this far in this post here's a cookie a sneak peak at the next Honma Club we will be covering the TW737P! The P is the most forgiving of the Tour World Series and Sakata has made us one with the Black Badge and custom finish... Enjoy

You have the opportunity to buy many wedges, I would not consider Vega over what's out there. I suggest Crazy Tour Wedge, A-Grind, Modart T55, Honma's new TW-W, Mizuno Yoro's etc.. Some MCI Solid or Mild shafts built to a nice heavy swing weight and your length with the proper lie and grip/size for you.

Yes I remember that one, it was larger and hollow. The shape does resemble this one. Major difference is this is solid ss so it has to be small and compact to keep it at head weight.

This particular putter in my photos is not a standard finish, it is TSG Club Works Black Nickel Finish. The model is called the AK01 Stealth and standard they are offered in both silver and black finishes. CNC Milled of SUS303 this new stealth has a deep milled face. The head weight itself is set to 345 grams. Available in straight shaft or W bend shaft. 4* loft with a 71* lie. SUS303 tends to be firm with excellent feedback as is but the face on this does two things, the first is helps the ball roll straighter vs thinner mill or flatter faces. The second is it softens the feel at impact. It looks like s stealth fighter to me, it makes me think of the word "blade" it's a very workable putter yet it's thick top line gives off a forgiving aesthetic. The center shaft vs W shaft is all preference, go dead straight if you have less of an arc or the W if you have some bend in your stroke.

Yes lot's of stupid in this post. I think Honma is the best on that list in design and quality. TW-BM is a stud! I get lots of feedback good and bad and the CB-1008 has not lived up to what I thought it would ( based on feedback ) Lots of positive, Lots of meh and a few negatives. Honma hardcore users rarely post in forums I find and tend to keep their irons for a long time and become repeat customers of the brand. MP-4 is the workable brother of the MP-5 which is geared toward forgiveness. Purists tend to switch often and keep more boutique brands in rotation. CNC vs Hand vs Mass Produced - based on what? It's only preference there is no better or worse.

That's pretty much it. More brands are doing this as well and I support it. This way you know your specific loft for your head. Most brands are +/- 1 to 2 degrees. Could you imagine buying a 10 and getting a 12 or an 8* actual?

You can request a specific loft, there is no guess work in that.

Yes it's a progressive weighted shaft - http://www.fujikurashaft.jp/material/mcimch/mci_black.html from driver down to Pwedge then MCI Mild/Sold for wedges Most clients don't go all in shafting their entire set with these but the couple who have are blown away by consistency and playability of all their clubs. It's a highly suggest. unfortunately we had to agree with fuji not to sell shaft only so it's install only as of now.
