Any Z-Star Players ?
I like Z-Stars I also like Bridgestones, those are the two balls I play the most. Coming Jan 1st Dunlop is releasing the new Z-Star, the ball that Hideki plays Dunlop Proposed over 60 prototypes to meet Matsuyama's needs. Among them, the deciding factor used in the game was "sound". Matsuyama conducted a field test to confirm "hitting sound" on the putter tested at a hotel. This is pretty interesting as I never really considered sound a big deal in a ball. especially of the putter. He calls it am clean and clear sound. Keep in mind Matusyama didn't use the previous Z-Star XV but now is gaming the new one. This new ball had a slight increase in spin #'s for him but he also got more distance on the driver. Hideki Matsuyama, Hideki Matsuyama, Hideto Tanihara, Shin Wan Katayama, Playa de Marks player, Ibomi player, Ritsuko Kasa, Mr. Jeon Mi-jung and others are already using the ball as of Nov 2016. Ball's not even released and they have 18 wins.

2017 Diamana X - Now accepting Pre-Orders
Mitsubishi Diamana X new for 2017! How long has it been? 4 years since the last version was released. Hard hitters rejoice! This is the lowest Torque in the brands history with the 70X & XX coming in at 1.9*. The goal of this shaft is to produce a strong and powerful piercing trajectory reducing side spin and reducing the loss of energy through the bend. Today on the US PGA tour you see a trend with players going slightly lighter or a lot lighter than a decade ago so this time the Diamana X shaft comes in a 50g range as well! This is Diamana's most premium model for the strong swinger. Another big deal is this shaft has a manufacturing tolerance of +/- 1g ib weight and +/- 1cpm on frequency. The materials are a Japanese 90T carbon with 78T in the butt end to strengthen that area. Diamana uses PAN MR70 CF, this is a similar type of PAN material that seven dreamers shafts are known for. The New Mitsubishi Diamana X shaft is now available in the TSG Pro Shop for pre order (ships Jan 13th) This is a very limited edition model just like last time so be swift and good luck. https://www.tourspecgolf.com/mitsubishi-rayon-diamana-x-17-shaft.html

Grandista LS-001 Driver
Just posted this in the blog have not hit it yet. Nob's picked up for a good deal so hopefully he chimes in after he shaft's it. although I know where he's at is not golf weather because I'm experiencing the same. For those who are not familiar with Grandista they produce really good drivers and fairway woods. The owner, founder and designer Kazutaka Yoshida is a former professional golfer. At one point he was ranked 3rd - 5th on Japan's long drive championship. This man doesn't fool around, he sourced the best DAT55G from Japan by Daido steel co for the face of this new driver. Both Yoshida-san's drivers have beautiful shapes at address. This new LS-001 has a total of 9 adjustable weights on the head each made of different materials. 3.8g is tungsten, 2g is Titanium. With each of the weights adjustable you can do some major fine tuning. The head volume is 450cc's and the head is available hand picked between 9.5 and 11.5 with head weights from 192g to 210g. Customers often order custom face angles and these can be had square to 1.3* open. When comparing the cg depth, height, and distance from the face vs the previous Grandista driver this is the slightly more forgiving driver. The new LS-001 is 5mm more shallow than the previous RS-001.

Kamui Tanzo Irons
They look forged in design. Also the word Tanso sometimes pronounced Tanzo means carbon.

Anyone have any feedback on the new PRGR RS and RS-F driver? There's some talk of them being non conforming...
If I had one I would have the CT checked to find out. CT is a slipery slope for OEM's, each driver CT's so different that if they dared write the CT on the head itself customers would always request the highest CT heads. I've sat through CT testing where the OEM was so happy the CT #'s were so high but would not disclose them because customers would not want the lower CT heads in the bunch.

Anyone have any feedback on the new PRGR RS and RS-F driver? There's some talk of them being non conforming...
Do tell I haven't heard about that. Should be ok as these are on the list, usga took the photos and checked the CT's signing off on them I assume. I've hit every current PRGR club just about. RS is awesome club, still a bit player but i found it easier to hit a fade than the red series and super egg. lower launching compared to them. I really liked the Red 9.5S and put a AAA pull I had in it, I play wet weather a lot now and this build had awesome carry and played dead straight reminding me of those pings that are point and shoot. RS-F was a fade machine for me I didn't give it too much time. but for the aggressive hooker this thing would help. My buddy just hooks balls and swings about 110 plays X and with the RS-F had tight tight draws using the stock shaft. PRGR Super Egg non conforming is one of my favorites, I want to put a better shaft on one in the future.

213 STX or K grind miura?
What wedge design would help your short game the most is the question. What are you looking for in a wedge specifically grind, bounce, lofts, and build? Your Swing + Turf Conditions Materials and who made it Branding & looks imo the K-grind performs great all around especially those the grind fits, but it's ugly. The 213 has poor reviews, I didn't like it but it looks modern and cool. The Miura is handmade using Himeji materials while the Epon is mass produced outside of Japan. Feel is subjective based on build and where/how you make contact. Right now there are so many amazing wedges to consider and for good reason, try expanding your search a little. - https://www.tourspecgolf.com/japanese-golf-clubs/wedges.html

JDM counterbalanced shafts - are there any?
I guess I never knew these were counterbalanced shafts or considered that. The Fuji techs in Japan we talk to haven't mentioned anything about counterbalancing to us. any additional info on this? I'm trying to figure out what makes these counterbalanced and how many grams etc..

JDM counterbalanced shafts - are there any?
Most brands are not marketing if their shafts are counterbalance but many in Japan use an extra material to stiffen the butt section depending on the profile of that model. Do you guys find anything noticeable with counter balanced wood shafts? There are many ways to counterbalance a club at the club-makers or manufacturing level.

jBEAM BM-TI FWR has anyone tested/gamed one?
I have not tried it. I've seen it. I go to Jbeam every year they have an awesome HQ with many unseen protos. Just and FYI fellas Jbeam offers Reem'd hosels if you want super janked specs for your woods. 3* flat and 3* open has been a popular one lately. ( warning: ferrule will sit ugly ) Another thing our Jbeam supporting members have been doing is sending them in for a face shave/re-groove/refinish to an exact COR. Your going to hear me talking more and more about this but it's a really cool thing TSG is offering. - We can shave the face to an exact COR ( voids warranty of course! ) - We can shave the face making it optimal to your swing speed for durability - add laser milling lines on the face - add various groove patterns on the face - shave the face of fairway woods - custom laser engrave designs on the face We can even bring your conforming driver to the very edge of conforming. Shaving the face of the ZY series is a good idea for anyone who swings around 85-95mph.

PRGR Red Titan Face Irons
Full run down in the blog here - http://blog.tourspecgolf.com/ I only hit 7 irons in steel and carbon but they are awesome. Turf condition was wet but I have a feeling this sole would work well in firmer. 2 piece head, soft stainless body, thin ti face, vibe absorb material and tungsten alloy in sole. That's it in a nutshell please enjoy!

Crazy Boron
Crazy Boron is a classic, wish I had some new. I've seen cool color limiteds but all mine were red/white. I used to play it in my SYD 388 and XV along with a bunch of other drivers.

Labospec shaft
Here is the official page - http://onoff.globeride.co.jp/labo/labo-spec-shaft/index.html This year they have new and unique aesthetics although many of the shafts are identical to the previous versions. Hashiri is the softest and lightest with shinari and tataki as players models. If you hook bad go Shinari and if your aggressive with a slice consider a Tataki. Smooth slower swingers have a look at the Hashiri.

F**k Cancer - an update on TourSpecGolfer
Thanks Nobs, What is interesting is that the 3 month checkups showed all clear via CT scan. It's only when a breathing issue had them do an MRI which found many small growths that the CT could not pick up. I was told even if it does not show in MRI it can still be microscopic and spread. I'm glad to hear about your wife and hope she continues to do well.
