TSG Wedge Version 1.0 w/PICS
TourSpecGolfer replied to TourSpecGolfer's topic in Japanese Golf Clubs
The last of several sets just arrived. Please PM me again if you are interested. -
The Z101 or any Tourstage iron for that matter feels better and is made better than any iron G-field has produced in recent. Reason is Endo vs Dynamix. When Gauge used Kyoei they were one step up, but when that ended they are now 2 steps down.

Everyone loves the Quattro, It is now #1 in Japan. Quattro Tech PT Series Axiv V Spec Roddio Rombax X DREV by NGS

This is a tuff one as about 98% of you guys have not hit many of the true classics in japan. What we think are classics are based off of how it is percieved on the internet. So if I push hard enough to say holy grail this and that for a couple of years we can add one to the list. MR-23 even 4 years ago was a set collecting dust and selling for dirt cheap in Japan, At that time it was 1500 here used on ebay thanks to a few guys on BSG saying its the next big thing. But was it? Nope, just another JPN forged set in a large sea of cast clubs. Another thing that bugs me is how people can review golf clubs without building them to their own specs, or just the amount of golfers/customers i have that dont know their own lie/loft/length/swing weight/ and grip size. After all these years if you dont have those numbers on paper then your missing the whole point. People say 1* flat and dont understand that Mizuno's flat is not the same as Titleist's or when they say standard loft and you compare their last set to their new one and the difference is 2*. Its called setting yourself up for faliure and to be 100% honest we got guys here who claim scratch or better that really dont even know their specs. In order to do a side by side test, all variables must be removed, all clubs must be the same specs all the way around with a shaft you know you enjoy. Then both heads are equals on the playing field and you can put them to work.

G-Field GFT Fairway - weights coming loose
TourSpecGolfer replied to leepark's topic in Japanese Golf Clubs
I dont see anywhere that G-field says go buy epoxy, that is me telling members what I do. Everyone knows they can get a refund but has decided not to. G-Field is NOT a healthy company right now. If you guys want to express your displeasure or request a replacement please e-mail [email protected] -
G-Field GFT Fairway - weights coming loose
TourSpecGolfer replied to leepark's topic in Japanese Golf Clubs
We have been using black onyx which is a super strong epoxy to secure them, it works like a charm and you can get it at golf smith. -
Best soft feel is the epon type J due to design. second softest feel goes to Fourteen TB-1000 and the Custom Mizuno MP-60's.
-
I think its their best to date, its a forged putter so its along the lines of "the Balde" or "the One" If the head weight is 350g i may have to give it a try. I like um soft

Its a great book but it doesnt go over a lot of self help fitting techniques or new technologies. His best book imo is Common Sense Club Fitting.

Axiv vs Roddio - What are the differences?
TourSpecGolfer replied to leepark's topic in Japanese Golf Clubs
The Roddio is too new, We dont know exact tipping instructions, bend profiles, or how they perform in the real. In a little time everyone will have a clear idea. For now and I have tested them all the Tour AD's do me best by far. Quattro Tech 65S and PT-7 in FW's, Even the PT-6 in a Driver is unreal. Axiv is 4 weave and Roddio is 5 weave, Ill have tons more info and pics next week for you guys. Remember its whats best for your swing so for some it may be a V Spec Axiv, and others a Diamana or Ozik. -
LOL Just wait another week Ben ill get you another fix. It can be bent after market but not keeping the bounce the same. I hear ya guys on the lofts but I admit im a convert, im now adapting and playing to a 5-PW 52/58 setup because of it. If you wanna get over it, have a distance gap analysis done with each and every club in your bag, then simply fine tune and you will find all gaps covered.

That Scotty looks amazing!
-
Guys im not talking about spine and flow, SST pure is different more precise. What I have heard from Ozik is by SST puring the shaft it does more harm than good to that design. Anyway i have decided not to go with SST puring and just simply use conventional spine/flo methods.

Epon 460 - naturally high/normal/low launching head?
TourSpecGolfer replied to leepark's topic in Japanese Golf Clubs
Yes I built you a club, but that doesnt mean there is nothing out there that can surpass that clubs performance, I mean cmon, how hard did we try, you were fit online with not much personal interaction with the club fitter at all. If you had access to us and I let you hit our fitting clubs you would see increased ball speeds, more total yardage, and tighter dispersion in some clubs more than others. I wonder what your sub impact swing speeds are and how much the shaft is kicking because by figuring that out I can show you a flex or a bend profile, weight, etc. that will give you more distance. How do you know the quattro tech, pt-7, roddio, axivs tipped differently, and others would not impress you if you have not tried it? but serious man, he will like the 9.5 or the 10.5, both are too solid to not enjoy. The point im trying to get across to you is perscribing specs for someone else who you know nothing about is like a doctor giving out medicine to a paitent he/she has not treated. Its impossible unless we hear a bit more about the fella's swing info. In regards to the Euro's if they are better as you say then they will win the majority of events and majors on the PGA tour this year. That wood be amazingly cool but the chances are slim at best. -
Epon 460 - naturally high/normal/low launching head?
TourSpecGolfer replied to leepark's topic in Japanese Golf Clubs
I dont agree at all, First off i know i could put a driver/shaft/specs combo in your hands that would impress you. If not, thats just sad. My point to you is even I wouldnt assume to know what loft a guy needs without a little more info. Loft is a big deal man, its the variable that effects the trajectory and launch angle more than anything else. Then add that he has not mentioned tipping, flex, kick point, swing specs, etc.. I dont know about your whole judgment on American Golfers, They beat the EU guys all year long except for a week or two and you feel Euro golfers are better? You didnt simply state the 9.5 would work you told him " Get a 9.5, nothing higher. " and " The 9.5 will suit you just fine, trust me." Doesnt matter what his final choice is, Im just telling you its silly to choose a persons loft based on nothing. -
Epon 460 - naturally high/normal/low launching head?
TourSpecGolfer replied to leepark's topic in Japanese Golf Clubs
How can you suggest 9.5 for another person with little to no data about his swing. Its like me telling you I hit R flex shafts amazing you would do better with an R flex because I do... If you want a lower trajectory, easier to work, and an epon driver built for the hard hitter the 415cc would be the way to go. They are not the same driver in design, very different in shape with a higher center of gravity. Here is the scoop on the 460: This Deep faced driver produces a low spin and high ballistic trajectory. The Technity Driver Series was developed with the belief that true perfection of performance can be achived using the best materials and technologies available today. Cold forged technology creates maximum forgiveness and unrivalled feel with exquisite balance. 415cc: The 415ZR brings a greater importance to control for the hard hitter. Its center of gravity depth is a little shallower than the 460ZR providing a lower more penetrating ball flight. The conventional feeling is emphasized in deep faced Pear Form. Its known attribute is its forgiveness and its greatest feature is workability. -
I suggest getting an XXIO or a custom ordered EPON 460, they can produce the face angles you need.
-
All aftermarket adjustments will cost you parts plus labor but yes our price is far better. PM = Private message
-
It gets even better, we can custom build these for you at your specs. We are 700.00 cheaper than thailand if you buy this via PM from me.
-
Yes, The SQBT has square grooves and a milled face. The GAS2 has a more compact shape no milled face and a better players grind.
-
The Daiwa prototypes I believe are the same specs as the retail models but without the all weather resistance finish and special Roddio patented clear coat that protects the shaft from scratching, not to mention the wicked paint job. They say Pro's were asking for it to be a tad lighter and the paint job actually added some unnecessary weight. Is there a model number on it? I think i can get you the exact details on that shaft. It is amazing you had one 9 months ago!
-
NICE!! Fourteens Blades and CB's are some of the softest, Their product quality is Rock Solid and I can suggest the entire product line up except for the putters for any good player. You guys can buy it from a shop in person, but just remember that we have it in stock, ready for custom options, and will give you the BEST price!
-
No its 100% false and you should slap the person who told you that. Its softer than Tourstage, heck even their castings are softer than Tourstage. 1700! is crazy! Why buy in Thailand when you can get it for the best price here shipped to your door. CV101 doesnt compare to the 770 forged IMO. Ask Madball about how soft these are.

Epon 460 - naturally high/normal/low launching head?
TourSpecGolfer replied to leepark's topic in Japanese Golf Clubs
The Roddio Shafts are the most advanced shaft on the market Today. It is the only shaft to be using a 5 weave pattern most to date is Axiv with 4 weaves. Also the process is 23 steps to build, its simply amazing. You can have the white graphics up or down, Im playing mine down because the white makes the shaft a little too noticeable and a tad larger. -
Epon 460 - naturally high/normal/low launching head?
TourSpecGolfer replied to leepark's topic in Japanese Golf Clubs
It really depends on your swing, Would the Roddio models fit it?
