BERES by Honma Pics
So its some sort of blend of carbon steel poured into a casting. I for a fact can feel the difference between forged and cast. I can feel the difference between finishes, and also different sole or cavity designs with the same exact steel. I can feel a hollow undercut, I can feel when turbo rubber is added. Take your finger nail and tap the face of a Japanese forged club vs a Chinese cast club, you can hear it and feel the different high pitch "tink" it gives off. Feel comes from: 1. The material used 2. The design of the sole 3. The loft of the club 4. The finish of the club 5. The configuration and Build of the club

Taylormade R7 Forged Limited Iron w/Pics!
So After many months what is the mass verdict on these irons? Who took it out of play? Who put it into play? And most importantly how would you rank and review these?

Epon vs. Tourstage vs. Gauge Design Fairway Woods
Hey Zero very nice review. I have the X-Drive FW also and its one of the best from looking down at it. Thing is there are so many killer FW's now its hard to choose one: Fourteen Royal Collection X-Drive FW Mizuno JPX EPON Technity Epon gets my choice once again, its steel, it feels like a mini driver, has a straighter and lower ball flight than the XD-FW with stock shaft, and its great from the tee. Im playing mine with the Mach Line 85g Proto FW shaft and its giving me killer distance. The only thing is that the GFT was a bit easier to hit off the deck.

EPON 380 Technica
380cc Epon with the new DREV proto is giving my 460 quite a challenge, I love the 460's feel much better. but im getting more distance out of this 380 head and it stays lower and closer to center than anything else. Very nice club just dont know if i can get over it being that small.

What wedge is this?
A blank catalog head that can be found in Japan. Not for sale to the public. Its for small brands who want to stamp their name on it. please dont ask to have your wedge created unless your willing to purchase 500pcs in each loft.

Wedge Choice - Epon X-Model or Tourstage 2007 X-Wedge
Very different, its a tottaly new design. it seems more stable at impact now and designed to feel heavy where imo last years model felt compact, and thin.

Hold on my friend these are quite new.

TourStage X-Drive Weight Screws
Just an FYI guys, all heads we have purchased direct from Tourstage are a 205g head weight. The fakes, trash bin, and black market X-Drive 460 heads on ebay are all coming in at 194-198ish. There should be no glue in the head if its brand new. It also shouldn't rattle.

epon 415...
We can get you custom built onoff if you need too. The 415 doesnt feel as soft as the 460 at impact. more solid feel similar to the X-Drive. The 380cc is also very solid and muted if you dont mind that small of a head.

If you like Custom Mizunos Click here!

Mizzy Customs
They are not after market they are done for select accounts in Japan. They have the golden Y stamp letters on the ferrule to show they are still factory. You are not able to send your clubs in for this service. As far as quality goes, its the same Chuo Grain Flow Forged metals used in all the MP series, In America Mizuno is the #1 forging IMO, but Callaway's new X-Forged is as good if not better. Its just with the customs they are finished in Japan not China like the retail versions. Many of Mizuno's older models came from Miura Giken, then those amazing T-Zoid Pro's up to today's JPX series with complicated designs are done at the one and only Endo. Kudo's to Mizuno for understanding that good golfers need quality materials. Dont forget Mizuno's new JDM woods. Too good to be overlooked.

TourStage X-Drive Weight Screws
lol.. I hear ya, well the wrench isnt the problem its having the weights made. If there are more than 20-50 guys willing to do this then its almost worth a try, as of now its just me and you pal.
-
ZOMO Putters
We sell them, not very well though. Its normal putter design imo, it seems Zomo has not released any new products this year. Thats a bad sign.

- Awesome Golf Digest Article on Japan, Taiwan, China
By reading this article many times and Mike Stachura's others in golf digest April 07 issue I think this author hasn't been to some of the larger forging companies in Japan. Chuo, is very small and seems very country like Himeji style. He talked a lot about technology and mass production but didn't get into quality of materials used and work ethic. Based off of the pictures he shows, conditions seem horrid for the workers and product in China compared to what I have seen at ENDO and in Himeji. In Japan mostly everyone male who works at a manufacturing plant plays golf too, Author seems to be missing a vital factor that drives JDM fans like us. He missed some great technologies also like the new 4 layer balls, and 5-ply shafts, could have elaborated more on the materials or the grade of titanium used in metal woods built in China vs Japan and the designs overall. PRGR didn't attend the show but he decided to promote them as if they were, grip speed was last years big thing with little to no attention this year. Callaway Hyper has 2-4mm face thickness which is big news and not to forget Toyota rules the Rapid Prototyping technology, they are no longer using wax as mentioned china does. Rapid Prototyping is a method of quickly creating mechanical components, especially those with complex shapes, from a computer-based drawing that can be used to check the validity of a design. I met the woman who designed the new XXIO and Srixon Drivers in Japan in collaboration with Toyota. She changed the drivers loft and other measurements accordingly with about 15 clicks of her mouse, she uploaded that file into testing software which showed the increase in spin rates and a dozen other angles. I then watched footage of the machine creating the prototype which takes quite a long time but can build ultra thin walls and work with multiple materials. Check this Video out ( keep in mind its not exactly the same way its used in the golf industry but the idea is here )- changing lie and shafts
My first choice would be to buy a brand new set custom built to my specs. My second choice would be to adjust the Loft/Lie/Length/Swing Weight/Grip Size of my current set. My 3rd choice would be to only bend the angles and add shaft extenders. After the fitting you know your specs better then you can pick or choose based on what your budget allows you to do. Shaft Analysis Report is something you didn't mention, Did your fitter have you hit different flex's and shafts? You will notice there is sometimes a couple in the bunch that tighten dispersion, give greater ball speeds etc.. Picking the right shaft is vita. I suggest trying these 3: NS1150, Black Gold, Tour Concept, Dynalite 300SL in both stiff and regulars on the launch monitor and have him display the ball plot in different colors so you see what did what for you. Hit at least 5-7 shots with each setup. Your club maker will bend the lie after the shafts are installed. Also note that making the lie more upright will aid in getting the ball higher. Good luck, I hope you reach club nirvana soon!- So you want to Grind Wedges?
We have about 300 more in stock. If a customer wants they can buy and grind 50pcs then we can aid them with engraving and finishing. we will not do this for individual wedges. It must be 50+- TourStage X-Drive Weight Screws
Their are none in the USA. Our main location is in Japan and that is where the product comes from.- New Bling Bling by CoMoCoMe!
I personally use 2 of these items, the hand made leather head cover, and the anser putter pendant and chain. Its all made with high grade Stainless Steel hand crafted in Japan. The putter pendant is 175.00 Shipped, its heavy with a nice chain.- Golf Crafts Original
Its not really a company just a legendary club maker who plays consultant to the best factories in Japan. The most desired wedges come from Mr. Kiyoshi Shinagawa he is the master who taught Miura and many others in Japan. At 75 years old he is still producing wedge grinds for the tour players. - Awesome Golf Digest Article on Japan, Taiwan, China
