  1. Only the 9* Black is square, I bought the 10.5 because it fit me better. The stock M46 by FSP rocks hard!
  2. This old school Gauge Japan putter features a short slant neck design, SM490A soft head material, and two twenty gram tungsten ingots on the sole finished in Black Teflon. This putter was made at the request of a pro who never picked it up. Their loss our gain on this very rare flat stick.
  3. Enhanced Insert, Improved Aluinser, Proven Design...
  4. 3-7 MP60 8-PW MP32 Matching Topline Grind Matching Sole Grind Reduced Offset Killed Leading Edge NS1150 X-Flex Standard Loft & Lie Brushed Satin Finish w/Black fill M Stamp. D2 3-9 D3 PW
  5. The face is dead square, the head shape reminds me of a cross between the X-Drive and PRGR TR-X driver. I have 2 10.5 heads with any shaft option. After these 2 are gone we will never see this shape again from G-Field.
  6. This thing is just awesome, The G-Field Studio now offers just about every shaft option as well as head foaming, and weight bias adjustments to their drivers. The prototype driver in the pics below will not be released. the difference between it and the retail is that the COG is 1mm deeper back and the shape isn't as pear as the retail version. Other than that they are the same. Made of 6-4ti and a forged 6-4ti face this driver foamed feels better than even the Tourstage drivers of old. I'm hitting a 10.5 with PT-6 and 11.5 with Mamiya Axiv. Its just flat out forgiving and the feel at impact is sensational. The difference between the prototype in these pics and the retail model is head shape and C.O.G location. The C.O.G in the proto is 1mm deeper and further back than the retail due to its larger appearance profile. Expect the retail Japan version to look deeper and more compact. The U.S version will not have the weight screws and fancy shaft options.
  7. Just drool over these pics for a while... This is the new JLM Series by Scratch Golf due to release early 2006. I will get into the grinds later and for now want you to know I have these for sale at 150.00 + 10 bucks shipping for interested parties. Its gonna be a huge year for scratch golf if they keep up like this.
  8. I don't know exactly what set comes from where myself. The paintfill and finish is identical, I could barely even tell hitting them side by side which comes from where. A few sets were done with black fill and those were from Endo. I think even some of the white paint fill were as well. In regards to grind differences there are some but I'm told not enough to notice unless you designed it.
  9. I can get the 17*, its just the 20* is sold out. :tsg_smilie_smile:
  10. What if I told you Bridgestone Irons havent been forged by Endo for a long while? This ones not a rumor, about a 6-12 months before the Japan launch of the first X-blade Cb they switched from Endo to a chinese based company to meet the U.S price point.
  11. Yes this shaft is legal on any tour. Axiv will not be available until mid 2007 in the U.S. If you would like your clubmaker to carry axiv shafts I can supply him, please have him contact us. If not you can purchase it direct from our pro shop.
  12. Here are a few what ifs for you.... What if I told you Miura has a subsidiary in Taiwan that does forgings? What if I told you Mizuno uses Dynamix in China to forge clubs and most of their staff doesn't know about it? What if I told you that Fujikura has a manufacture in San Diego and Mexico? What if I told you that Drivers are maxed out in distance and forgiveness while only the Gimmicks change? These are a few of the rumors I have heard in the last month from Industry insiders. I have to think some of them could be true, due to U.S price points. U.S.A 299.00 / Driver 199.00 / FW 599.00 / Irons 99.00 / Wedges 149.00-250.00 / Putter Japan 580-799.00 / Driver 250-500.00 / FW 1000-2000 / Irons 150-225 / Wedges 250-580 / Putter Does the difference improve your score? In most cases no, but if you want superior design and technology there is no doubt its easier to find in the Japanese golf Industry. OEMs are removing the adjustable weighting designs in their woods to increase profit margins due to the average American consumers spending habits. I got to see this first hand as the New G-Field woods were redesigned for the U.S market. They removed the weight screws in exchange for internal weighting and different face manufacturing techniques. Same deal with Srixon, Cleveland, Nike etc... I now understand how difficult it is to design and build the best equipment for the U.S market, you simply have to sacrifice all you can until your product meets the price point.
  13. Both Endo and Dynamix have done the forgings. One run came from Endo 1020, the next from Dynamix 1020 and the Tour Use from Himeji 1021. I have hit them all. My findings are that the milling marks, finish, shaft and grip play a bigger role in regards to the sensation at impact than location of foundry. That contradicts what I have focused on in the last 3 years about Japanese forgings feeling better. I have hit The G-Field NC-1s with no milling marks in the cavity and they don't feel half as good as with the marks. A very interesting comparison that I just did was between two identical sets of china forged NC-1s, one with a Japanese finish the other with the dynamix finish. both were very sweet but the Japan finish just felt more together and uniform. Keep in mind these are differences that the majority of TSGers wouldn't notice even if they looked for them. Its really splitting thin hairs.
  14. G-Field has made 10 sets of irons for Tour pros to use, They have given me the opportunity to sell 2 of those sets to TSG members. Only problem is I must sell them at 2999.00. ( includes any available steel shaft ) Whats the difference? For starters the feel is a bit different due to the Japanese Brushed Satin finish instead of being done in China. The leading edge has been killed as well as some meat removed from the upper toe area of the short irons. The neck area has also been smoothed out a touch and the amount of space below the first score line has been decreased. Not really any big differences that the untrained eye would detect but more subtle adjustments that wouldn't effect performance in a negative way. Raw Finished
  15. Its Japanese.... not Jap. Click and Save, took these images from a Japanese golf mag, scanned them and put their own watermark on them.
  16. The Driver and FW can be foamed, they dont foam the UT. We can at request but its not neccessary for a head that size. This UT is amazing, its a heavy steel head with a mirage face and 2 weight screws. I play mine with the Tour AD UT-85 shaft and she is a charm, compared to the 320cx its more compact with better feel and a head heavy sensation. Much more of a players clubs with a dead straight face angle.
  17. Dont adjust all that stuff, it will do more harm than good. Trust me, Go get your lie, length, loft, weight, grip specs etc.. and have a set built to you.
  18. Sorry, No heads only. I do have 1 of each loft with Graphite Design Tour AD shafts for those interested. 1 of each only so be quick!
  19. Milling marks are still there! its just hard to see with the particular lens im using to shoot the pictures. There are only 3, Mine, TSgirls, and 1 for sale. If you are interested let me know...
  20. We dont have many left. 34" center shaft or heel shafted at 250.00 Shipped for TSGrs.
  21. Go PT-6/7 in a driver and PT-7 or 8 in FW's. I cant stress enough how solid the PT line is, user friendly and less floaty than the Diamana.
