Testing shows the heavier head and shorter shaft actually creates more distance and a straighter shot than lighter heads and a longer shaft. Currently this FW is 3-6 yards longer than the BBD Type H2 at a full inch longer. Accuracy and distance are both enhanced from this new design concept. Let us know how it works for you :tsg_smiley_yes:

Hey J-J, and congrats on the new blades how you enjoy them! In regards to driving irons there are better on the market IMO, even fourteen has made an updated version of these and yes your correct they are a few years old. I also don't think you would really need 3 driving irons in your bag. Go with the PRGR 220i its easier to hit and of much better quality, drop me a PM I have a tour issue #3 head that could have your name on it.

**UPDATE** PRGR 220i Zoom w/PICS!

New Images Added! I have been playing this bad boy round after round and its firmly set in the bag especially on windy days or tight courses, The shot i'm getting with a 3 Iron length NS1150 Tour installed is a mid trajectory draw. My bad drives leave me on the left and i'm finding this club very useful on longer holes getting me out of trouble. I have even used it on several ocassions to chip around the greens. Its by far the easiest driving iron I have ever hit. -

Images updated, The original pictures were taken in poor lighting so it didnt show the clubs original grind as well. Please take a look now. I tried several color schemes and black looked the best IMO. -
Tourstage X-Drive 435 w/PT-6

53mm face depth -
If you are on a budget try the MR-23 CBs from early 2002, the heads are a tad smaller but still its a rockin set. If you want somthing more advanced I highly suggest the new 2006 Tourstage X-Blade CB2.

The Bassara is a very old shaft that was released a couple years before the diamana, there are 3 types the Amorphous Velocity, Amorphous 335TE, & Amorphous Velocity In the U.S they also have 3 types Light, Mid & heavy.
-
I have owned both but not at the same time, the X-Drive 405 9.5 w/Tour AD M65 vs the X-Drive 435 10.5 w/Tour AD PT-6 shaft. The new X-Drive IMO feels a tad better in a softer way, its also more forgiving and longer due to the higher loft and shaft. I compare the PT-6 to the Diamana S63 with no balloon and more roll. The distance gain was substantial for me because the shaft just works better with my swing.

I'm not sure why your spending so much time on that putter but If you must and want it to look its best I suggest having it powder coated in black then adding a nice bright paint fill and new grip.

Mizuno announced a partnership deal with Bettinardi putter co for a new line. There are supposed to be 2 aluminum and 4 carbon steel putters in the line up. Now both Hogan and Mizuno sport the Bettinardi badge. There is already a stink in Japan within crews golf, they have over 1 million dollars in inventory which equals to about 2 million street value of Bettinardi Japan putters that retail around 550.00 USD the probs began when the hogan line was released with a retail price around 200.00 USD some of the models were the exact same design as the crews hurting their sales badly. Now with the Mizuno line there will be 3 lines of Bettinardi stamped putters in Japan. Not a good situation at all. Im personally not so thrilled with the design and stamping on these putters.

Como!Come! putter covers from Japan!
TourSpecGolfer replied to TourSpecGolfer's topic in Japanese Golf Clubs
I hear ya man, I dislike velcro headcovers because you need to wait for your golf partner to putt out before taking your putter out of the HC. Nothing like the sound of tearing velcro during your putting stroke. They are coming up with a magnet design headcover but I have no clue when that will be final. -

Introducing the Gauge Japan Forged Terra!
TourSpecGolfer replied to TourSpecGolfer's topic in Japanese Golf Clubs
The Tubu is a thicker putter, it does have 3RTNC but not the same as the Terra. The Terra actually feels quite a bit softer than the tubu and both weigh the same. Overall the Terra will setup easier on the eye IMO. -
I just checked the Fuji U.S site and it isnt listed. Im not sure if they are available yet in the U.S, maybe joey or paul can give us the DL on that.
-
You mean the Rombax isnt available in the U.S yet? I thought this shaft was released late 2004? The difference you will see is probobly the raw length uncut. 46" in Japan 48" in america. Currently in Japan they have 4 different models: Irons, 7V05, 6V05 and Tour Spec 7V05.

Review to come soon!

M75 is great but I am getting better results with the PT-7, slightly higher ball flight due to the softer tip. Its the trjectory i have been wishing for in a FW. The G-Field U.S release date is Qtr 2 06. Its official launch in Japan is at the Tokyo Golf Fair in Feb.

V-Steel Version 2 Images.....Cold day!
TourSpecGolfer replied to TourSpecGolfer's topic in Japanese Golf Clubs
Thats the glory of steel shafts, In Japan due to tight courses and and all sorts of angled lies I use NS Steel in all my woods and yes that includes my driver, The primary purpose of the that was like yourself accuracy. I suggest steel in woods for people who value a straight shot over extra distance or need to stay low in strong winds. IMO it also benefits people with fast and explosive swing tempo helping them smooth it out a bit. -
Its SS303 with a 340 gram head. Its a good putter but needs milling marks and some added weight. With no milling marks its setup for fast greens. Perhaps somthing you can add with your CNC machine?

It isnt to heavy at all @ D2. If your using a 75gram shaft now just add 20 grams on top of that.
