**UPDATE** Maru Wedges w/PICS
TourSpecGolfer replied to TourSpecGolfer's topic in Japanese Golf Clubs
I received more sets! They just arrived and they are ready to ship. I can say they look truly amazing. Its nothing like the X-Wedge, a totally different shape and very custom grind. CNC milled face with ultra sharp grooves. Red, Silver, and Green fill.tsg_smilie_cool: Pics will be posted in this thread tomorrow. : -
I'm pretty sure these are Japan only along with the new JPX E310, they are also both USGA conforming. The MP003 will be released Jan.13th while the new JPX Feb 10th. They recently did a test in a golf mag with 40 golfers who witnessed a 3 yd average increase with the new 410cc USGA JPX driver.

New Cleveland Japan line up!
TourSpecGolfer replied to TourSpecGolfer's topic in Japanese Golf Clubs
I am told the 9.5 sits almost square and the 10.5 is just a little closed around .5, this is a Japan Only Cleveland driver and yes it is USGA conforming. Cleveland says they designed this head with feedback from touring pros on both the PGA and JPGA tours. The head color was a big issue with the players in the past. The new Type-J was made smoked black per pro request. Initial testing shows it is a great performer on swing machines with a 46m/s swing speed it resulted with a 14* launch angle and 2200 rpm. If I were to guess the U.S version which could be named Launcher X would have a lower launch with a tad more spin for the harder hitter. Reviews in Japanese Magazines are all around great its only flaw is in its feel factor where they gave it 2 out of 5 pts. The lofts do have a full one degree tolerance and of 3 drivers tested they were all above not below. Here are some actual images from WRX. There will also be two new CG Type J irons coming in 2006 that feature tungsten inserts in the long irons. -
New Clubs from Inpres! 2 new drivers Called Inpres X in 410cc's and 455cc's both USGA conforming. Also a new Players CB 410V Forged that features a higher C.O.G and new high C.O.G wedges for the better player.

** UPDATE ** G-Field CCB-1 w/REAL PICS
TourSpecGolfer replied to TourSpecGolfer's topic in Japanese Golf Clubs
I was told due to the face coming from the states, the head from china and the weight plate being CNC milled along with installation of the medallion its price is almost the same. -
I actually have a prototype head of the 430cc model, but cant release pics because they are going to be changing its cosmetics. First pics should appear around March 2006.

** UPDATE ** G-Field CCB-1 w/REAL PICS
TourSpecGolfer replied to TourSpecGolfer's topic in Japanese Golf Clubs
Guys, Im now hearing that these may not be released in the U.S. :tsg_smiley_no: They could release limited numbers but it is going to be an expensive club. The head is cast in China and the Face is made in America yet the price point could be the same as a forged club. The first release will be in Japan and the heads will be made for graphite shafts at 4 grams heavier each. Im going to take these first run heads and put NS1150's in them to spec out about D3. -
I think a fair price for a used set is $700.00.

The New PRGR T3 Profile Pics!
TourSpecGolfer replied to TourSpecGolfer's topic in Japanese Golf Clubs
I'm actually waiting for the T3 Blue. I hear great things about the black its 440cc's and has a deep C.O.G with larger profile than the blue. The blue is 450cc's yet looks smaller from all angles except face depth. Will have a review of both when they arrive. -
This person is actually the wife of the owner of a used golf store in Hawaii.

I am familiar with the sellers products. They are indeed direct from the factory. The X-Drive 435 is a club assembled in China after it is manufactured, Which IMO means he is selling the defective heads. Bridgestone is a very tight company in regards to this sort of activity. I usually see defective head leaks with other OEMs. Buy at your own risk.

2006 Tourstage X-Blade CB2 w/PICS!
TourSpecGolfer replied to TourSpecGolfer's topic in Japanese Golf Clubs
The transition from the long to short irons is perfect IMO, the progression is subtle through each club. Here are sole and top line comparison pics of the XCB2 vs TS202 XCB2 on right. XCB2 on left. -
The new 2006 Tourstage X-Blade cavity backs feature a a shorter heel to toe, thinner top line, and more narrow sole design. Over last years model it is what I would consider to have a profile better suited to the advanced player. Tungsten composite inserts in the #3,4, & 5 Irons add forgiveness by lowering their center of gravity. I haven't had much time with them but I can say they are forgiving, The same or a little less than the past version yet with more eye pleasing setup from above. 5-Iron PW

The New Tourstage ViQ Series!
TourSpecGolfer replied to TourSpecGolfer's topic in Japanese Golf Clubs
Only 2 more weeks... -
This driver is a champ! Much better than the Ignite 460 yet I haven't hit it side by side against the SQ. I own an SQ with UST V2 shaft and its very easy to hit, I sold my DFI a while ago. Rumor is that in April we may see a Japan only SQ DFI with a deeper face and carbon crown, but like I said its only a rumor right now. I say got with the Ignite G shaft!

The New Tourstage ViQ Series!
TourSpecGolfer replied to TourSpecGolfer's topic in Japanese Golf Clubs
Your on the money Dorkman, The X-Drive is a tour players club off the rack, everything from true stated lofts, to its sweet square face. They launch lower than 99% of the drivers on the market and have less spin as well. Not something I would suggest for a mid capper at all. The new ViQ on the other hand does indeed have that lower center of gravity, its actually got more technology built into it and is probably a lot easier to hit. IMO the shaft option is what tweaks it to the good player or average. If you select the stock shaft it would be a great club for a mid capper yet if you slap in a Stiff Graphite Design PT-7 you got yourself a very easy to hit players club. -
I have a handful of very rare gauge putters right now like the Eldik-SP, 5th Aniversary One, Proto Long neck, G-Field M2AL+, Gauge M2 AL+, Terra, and a few used putters like the M4 pro request and M3N. If you want gauge dont look in the catalog, They sell out to fast to even bother adding the listing. Just drop me a PM to see what i have got.

I stand corrected. This newer version is 20cc smaller for a total of 430.
