Here is a pic of the new Type01 Fourteen driving iron, Its the same one maru used several months ago and based on the Fourteen used on the PGA with less offset for better players. The new Srixon Proto Cb's are currently being used by Tommy Nakajima same guy the TN-87s are names after. I think these new Srixon players Cbs look great

Have any of you noticed on the heads of the Callaway Fusions there are 4 boxes? If the letter is in the first box its rigged for a fade bias, 2nd box Neutral, 3rd semi draw position and 4th box is for full draw position. There are also Trajectory rating determined by the letters: L=Low M=Mid H=High I'm a strong believer that the weight plugs in the R7 are gimmick, Ive owned mine since mid march and for the first month really believed in them, but after a little research it takes at least 50g of weight on one side to even create the slightest change for the average player. that means TM needs to make 25-40g weights instead of 10, 12, & 14gs. If you look at the callaway fusion they are using 22 and 24 gram weights which is more than the R7 but still not enough to make a noticeable difference. If your swing is consistent and your close to scratch then these small differences should be enough for you.

I hit it and like it a lot as far as heavy shafts go. I'm not a Fuji man and have never found the perfect Fuji for me yet. I think i have purchased all of them also and tried tipping many of them with no luck. With Graphite Design every shaft I have tried is a winner, The W60 and W70 are Awesome!! Mind blowing Awesome and the I-65 is the most used shaft as of 2 months ago on the JPGA tour. The GD shafts play pretty stout, the I-65 has low torque, the M85 is the best FW shaft Ive ever touched and there is a proto M75 coming out very soon. All graphite design shafts are made in Japan and Korea not China and Taiwan. Anyways the 764 is a high kick shaft and helped bring my trajectory lower in the R7 but I lost a bunch of distance with the swap. My 2 cents: Fuji is going down hill, old company original owner has passed away and they are in some serious need of a complete makeover and new blood.

Anyone in Los Angeles with MR-23s? (blades or CBs)?
TourSpecGolfer replied to mike_c70's topic in Japanese Golf Clubs
I have 2 sets of these MR23 blades with limited edition and very very rare shafts coming in a week from now. Check out the announcement in the B/S/T and Tour/Import forum. Expensive yes but it is a special limited set that I will probably be sold out of by the end of this week or next. -
Shingo Katayamas Heavy Head Nike Driver
TourSpecGolfer replied to TourSpecGolfer's topic in Japanese Golf Clubs
Its a Fujikura 569 Tourspec. My bad i got confused on the weight because it said 307 on the head. The swing weight seems extremely heavy at D6 for such a light shaft. The maru Spec with a 85g shaft is only D5 so im curious how this one is D6 with a 55g shaft? -
The new R7 TPs are floating around Japan already but not for sale just yet. The new Synergy Deep is a conforming square face DF driver.

Shingo Katayamas Heavy Head Nike Driver
TourSpecGolfer replied to TourSpecGolfer's topic in Japanese Golf Clubs
The Specs are: D6 Swing weight 317 9*/61.2 lie angle 307H???? Serial#20040426 There must be a typo somewhere :-D -
WoW a 306 gram heavy head with a light Fujikura shaft. Shingo is killing it this year with 1 major, 2 victories and this weekend he is 3 in the lead after the 2nd round. Nike must be very very pleased.

I have never tried the new Fourteen FW but from what I read it looks large from address and is geared toward the mid handicap level player.

I think the pics on pro support are of the F-HT+. From the Info I'm getting from the tour these are being tested on the JPGA and will be returned to Bridgestone's manufacturer for stress testing and quality issues to make sure the final product is durable.

FS: Gauge Design ELDIK Prototype Putter 33" Price Drop!
TourSpecGolfer replied to TTLam's topic in Buy, Sell, & Trade
Hey Jy, I think because the Center shaft has a head weight of close to 400g, The heel shafted is only 343 - 354g. There are also the new retail model Eldiks that are Nano Casted. The retails are ranked #1 by GDO of all putters currently on the market. What I love about Gauge Japan Black putters is the fact that the coating is Teflon like fry pans instead of a powder coating or other finishes, talk about durable and soft. There are no more proto's being made anymore and the retails are back ordered over 4000 pieces :surprize: . On Tuesday I will have one retail model for sale at 320.00 shipped. I will have a Gauge Japan Custom Studio coming out soon where you can modify the look and specs of your putter. It will be made by the same guys who did the r7 Internet portion of the TM web site. All flash all interactive where you can actually see what the putter will look like before you buy. BTW Jy you are a very lucky man to have the Tour Blue. My first choice is the Proto my 2nd is the Tour Blue. I suggest you try the retail model also it seems to perform better than the proto & tour with a slightly different design and profile. -

When I mention TS, Callaway, Nike, Cameron etc I'm talking about the retail stuff. TM is in no way involved with the Grey marketing in fact they have told me they in no way are letting tour clubs slip into the market and if there is in bulk its fake. yes they used the word Fake when i spoke with them. Your correct that Woods and Wedges are the most popular to Grey market, there has been many Titleist Tour wedges, Cleveland Tour wedges, and Callaway Proto Grey's circulating in the market for quite some time now. Several busts have been made but nothing can ever stop the flood of smuggled goods from Asia. I'm sure some pros dump their free clubs into the market but not many, my guess is they are from the smaller Tours because supposedly it is not allowed for a Pro to do. Titleist is not immune in anyway its just the Tour Titty clubs are not as desired as TM or other clubs. I'm guessing Tour Irons on the most part are authentic because the market for them and margin is so small. The Grey market from China has profited the most from TM Tour Issue Driver heads and only Callaway is on the right track to stop these bums. Just be careful guys When the Kitty Hawk battle group came back to Japan recently there were over 250 complete sets of fakes aboard, the sailors were buying complete sets for 300.00 woods, irons, putter, wedges, and bag. They are very very fake but several I have seen are the authentic Grey's. You can believe me or not about this but I do know this is happening.

Instead of waiting to tell us when the time is right, and have customers continue to buy TOUR products with the TM label on it, why not tell us now what the problem is here? And when you say TM tour market, are you also including the TP line of products? Please lay your cards on the table for all to see...Thanks! Im not gonna put all the info upfront because its not the time yet, but to give you a rough idea about whats going on here is a price of authentic factory made items: R7 TOUR Quad - 300.00$ Cameron Futura - 40.00$ X-Blade CB's: - 550.00$ TM r7 Staff Bag - 90.00$ Nike Ignite - 100.00 These are coming from Hong Kong and China, The Tour clubs are stamped with the Txxxxxx serial #s, These are the same clubs as purchased in the states. If you don't know the caddy or Tour player your club is coming from, its probably Grey market  My guess is 85% are Grey. These are made in the Same Factories as the Authorized product. After the factory closes at 5pm is when these Grey's are being made. They are not authorized at all even with the serial #s. and TM, TS, Nike and others cant control it even with investigators and U.S Marshall's. Only Callaway has invested the money to stop Tour Fakes by finishing the tour clubs in the U.S. This has been going on for about 5 years now their has also been reports on it on " Living Golf " on CNN and " Club Gear " Japan TV shows. These are the same product as the U.S OEM product just not Authorized with the same Quality assurance standards. My suggestion is get a name of the caddy and tour player or rep your tour club came from.

R7 KO'd by Proto Fourteen Driver!
TourSpecGolfer replied to TourSpecGolfer's topic in Japanese Golf Clubs
I'm crazy over graphite design. Here in Japan there seems to be a consensus with shop owners that Fujikura is slipping in regards to product, Management, and Quality due to it being an old company with its original founder dead. The support is for Graphite design which is currently neck to neck with Fuji in #s at JPGA events. I love my W60 and Love the W70, The M85s are the ultimate FW shaft and what makes buying this fourteen such a deal is if i ever do decide to sell the head i will pull the shaft because its considered a good price when its factory with this head. Retail on the W70,W60, M85, and I-65 shafts are 43,000yen ( 400.00 ). Heck even P.M uses them now :gd: -
395cc Gemini?

I'm gonna go out on a limb and say that this is a fake at the very least a Grey market copy. Where he says " OWN one before Taylormade staff pro do!!!!!!!! " thats complete BS because I see these bags on the JPGA all the time for the last several months. I talked to TM Japan a few minutes ago and these bags are being made in HK with a cut off date of may 13th and the wholesale cost was very close to his buy it now price. there is a limit on how many each shop can order. I should get a reply from TM HK rep within the next couple days. A few people in the know have the info to tear the TM tour market to shreds, Its not the right time make the info public and when it is lots of Tour club owners will feel very cheated.

A few things i have noticed to make a putter feel softer is Titan Ion grips but what would be the best is a Tourstage ViQ style putter grip like this one: Maybe a Neo Mallet with a rubber plug somewhere in there: This blue rubber is made by Sumitomo Rubber/Steel company. It is known best for its use in Symphony's across the world. I have also hit the retail model eld**k before and after it was finished with a Teflon coating. Pre-finish it felt like steel after the applied Teflon it was very soft with less vibration match that with an NS pro shaft and Titan Ion grip and you have a putter with softer feel than a GSS that was only bead blasted.

R7 KO'd by Proto Fourteen Driver!
TourSpecGolfer replied to TourSpecGolfer's topic in Japanese Golf Clubs
The 371 Fourteen Proto is for a harder swinger. Its demanding but not even close to Maru/Pro Spec demanding. It sits perfectly square unlike the .5 closed ViQ, I actually don't mind a closed face. Its only available in 9* that may be lower than what you are looking for. The ViQ's face is a little less deep and both have nearly the same head size at abouts 370cc. The ViQ is known for vibration absorbing rubber in the grip and a plug in the head. If your sketchy on the ViQ there are countless other drivers and FW's out there to try that you may like also. -

Really Expensive Custom Mizuno Japan Clubs
TourSpecGolfer replied to TourSpecGolfer's topic in Japanese Golf Clubs
It looks like they have three different grinds but I'm not sure. All I know is that its very cool of Mizuno to be doing this service. They used to do it a while back then stopped and recently in the past 2 years got into it again.
