  1. Hey we got a member here by the name of landy, he is selling a almost brand new NV3 Mactec for dirt cheap. It has only hit 3 balls PM him i think he is willing to negotiate. In regards to a putter, Most of ya know my answer will be Gauge Japan or Golds Factory.
  2. The Mac Tec is only non conforming the 9* has a .5 closed face and all the shafts are pretty whippy. Is it longer than the R7?....yes it is but its not as long as the honma 420RF, the honma is hard to control it feels like there is to much spin on the ball. I have had the Mac Tec and I still have the honma and R7, They are all very long the MacTec is the most forgiving then the R7 then the honma.
  3. Lets not forget the non conforming 9.5 & 10.5 MR-23 drivers, they are one of the best i have ever tried, I would rank them with the J340 and RX-1. In fact the feel is the best of any Tourstage driver. I did make the mistake of buying the conforming 8.5 model and couldnt hit it for my life. There is also a member here with a 117mpg swing speed that hits the maru 8.5 better than anything, it takes some serious power and a right to left ball flight to fit this club, but yes DM in with ya on the 8.5 MR23 sucks wind, now 9.5 and 10.5 models are some of the best ever made by TS.
  4. Its already out and several of our members are playing them. They have been sold out for some time now. Take a trip to the image gallery they are posted under Tourstage.[/img]
  5. I have tried all the GD Japan putters except a few older models, None of them sit like the My girl and test sample red X, My guess is that the Red X on tour has a modified bend in the shaft or a fitted lie angle. The quality of a CT Cameron is better than a GD Japan putter but the quality of a GD Jpn putter is much better than a retail Cameron such as the up coming red X.
  6. Ok this is for the average golfer in Japan not the High end player or Club freak. These are the best sellers. Top Drivers: 1st: Cleveland Launcher 460 NC-X 2nd: Mac Tec NV3 3rd: Taylormade R7 Quad Fairway Woods: 1st: BBD SFD SuperCv Type H 2nd: Mac Tec NV3 FW Irons: 1st: XXIO Tour Irons 2nd:Wilson Tab Irons 3rd: MacTec NV3 Irons Wedges: 1st: Forged Raw ( generic ) 2nd: Fourteen MT-28 low bounce 3rd:Gauge Designs GAS1 Putters: 1st: NV3 Air cupface 2nd:Gauge Design retail Eld**k ( not proto ) Nano Casted 3rd: Taylormade Mezza Monza Please remember this represents the best selling clubs at the moment in Japan not the best club ratings.
  7. I know they are making all new wedges for 2004, There are some proto's floating around and these here were just released. They retail for 19000 yen. the 52* only has 2 holes while the 56 & 58* have 3 holes. It has a nikel underlayer and over it a flat black finish.
  8. I sure hope this black finish is different than the normal TS black finish that wears quickly. I really don't know what the buldge does, If I were to guess it raises or lowers the C.O.G. I do like the way it sets up from the 3rd pic. My best guess is the retail price will be 18,000yen
  9. Im still learning this so I may be wrong but I gave the futura a try: Everyone's eye is different so i guess its individual but for the most part I think people focus on the top line of the face and somthing in the rear as a secondary focus point.
  10. i have tried the Red X and My Girl putters and both of them seem to make me pull the ball left, I think they have some serious shaft bend issue's, I have never hit the retail GSS version. I wanted to like it but I just cant putt with it and Jacque putts so much better with her mezza, the weight of it is perfect nice and heavy, what I like most is the feel and sound. I just cant get it to roll straight. I'm meeting up with Anserfreak this Tuesday and he will let me test his modified My girl putter to see if the problem is truly in the shaft bend. It sits kinda closed when it sits flat.
  11. Most of us think an anser style putters are for the most part the same. I have been studying putter fitting and learned about visual focus points while at gauge Japan last week. Here we have the top profiles for the Tour Zero, Tour One, & Tour Three in that order. Notice the Tour Zero has a smaller longer and thinner top line or focus point while the Tour One has a thicker focus area and the Tour Three has dual visual points, These are very important when picking a putter, what helps me figure out what i want is blurring my eyes during putts with a potential putter. The top line focus area should be the one that fits your eye and mind best, how do you know which one fits best? just ask your natural mind and the let your eyes decide. I try to forget what the putter looks like from all other angles and base my decision on which one looks the best first. Usually your first and fastest instinct is correct. This is taught to Pro's when they choose an anser style putter.
  12. Dear Club Cameron Members: Well, it is time to introduce the newest creations from the Scotty Cameron Putter Studio, the Red X and Red X2. Check out "Concept to Production" to learn about these two new models that are all the rage on the PGA Tour. We had 9 Red X prototypes in play at the Wachovia Championship out of 81 total Cameron putters in play, as over 50% of the field played a Scotty Cameron by Titleist putter. We're launching the Red X and Red X2 putters in June and wanted to be sure that you know all about them before they hit the streets. If any of you have the opportunity to give either one a try, please provide us with your feedback. Scotty thinks it is one of the best sounding models he has ever made! We want to know what you think! We had our second Futura win at the Wachovia Championship this past weekend. Congratulations to the Champion who is a true gentleman and a longtime Cameron user. He played great and beat some of the top players in the world. Our hats are off to him! Speaking of the Futura, for all of you lefties out there we are happy to introduce to the Studio Store, a new left-handed Futura headcover. That's right, no more right-handed hand-me-downs, the new Futura headcover is only for lefties. The Studio Store is also featuring a new Red and Black Scotty Dog towel that is as plush as they come, as well as the last of the run of the Clip Pivot tools. If you haven't tried this new tool, there's no time like the present. Just clip and go! It is moving week at the Studio! We will be transitioning to our new facility in the coming weeks and we are excited. You'll get a sneak peek of the new Studio once we get settled. We showed you a glimpse of the progress along the way and soon you will see it finished. The new Studio is downright cool! Stay tuned! Check out Club Cameron for great new content including the introduction of the new Red X, a new JAT section with John Rondolino and as always, check out the Studio Store for the new Red and Black Scotty Dog towel, clip Pivot tools and of course the lefty Futura headcover. 13. Scheduled for limited release August 20th and maybe full release pending on public feedback, . the X-wedge by Tourstage will be available in normal loft format instead of the normal P/S and S system they are using now. These wedges have been in the hands of tour players for a little over a year and bridgestone actually had 100 protos for sale last September but they had the P/S & S stamps on them. rumor is Izawa does not like them and as the JPGA #1 player and top man for the X-Series it is vital that he plays and likes any new wedge with the X label on it to ensure its success in Japan. Currently only 4 players are using them on the JPGA. Naomiti Ozaki Kawamura Tosikatu Miyazato Another interesting fact is the 2004 maru limited LW is being used by several TM sponsored players and others from the JPGA, very popular lob wedge and highly desired. I think the X-wedge looks quite strange
  14. It is stated it is .5 open but I think it looks more square than open. I'm not sure about any bias at all, I just know its a lot easier to hit than the pro spec just as all X-drive C.O.R's are vs the pro specs. My favorite X-drive is the 300cc High C.O.R. no matter pro spec or not the entire X-drive series is for the better player. I would suggest X-Drive for only single digit players or great ball strikers.
  15. The non conforming X390 is way easier to hit than the pro spec. The pro spec 390 was very long, longer than the illegal R7 but also not as forgiving. I recently hit a demo of the X390 high C.O.R and it is so much better than the pro spec because the face was square instead of open and i think that the head weighting is a little draw biased too. The illegal aspect of this doesn't really make any difference in distance, the guys on the JPGA use the pro spec because of its set up. I'm no pro and need all the forgiveness i can get and the X390 non conforming is an awesome club. In fact the High C.O.R is almost a hundred bucks more than the pro spec. There is a member in the B/S/T right now selling his special order non conforming X390 w/ factory installed Fuji for dirt cheap.
  16. a quote from GD website: The PM 702 was developed on the PGA TOUR using the best players in the world providing invaluable feed back on performance, feel, and playability. The PM 702 is suited for the better player and Tour Professionals with high club head speeds. It has an overall stiff bend profile and high kick. The PM 702 is a proven winner on the PGA TOUR including this years MASTERS and Bob Hope Chrysler Classic. In reality this is not the same shaft P.M uses his was 2.2 torque this must be the user friendly version. GD is getting pretty big on the U.S pga i have thought that they are better than fuji for quite some time now with some very high end quality shafts. The Tour AD series is amazing.
  17. Look at this Ho he got all the best stuff and dumping it for cheap, Here is some great deals especially on the MP27s 8O
  18. No legal synergy's yet, my guess is that their will never be.
  19. There are also reviews written by two single digit handicap players..Check out the reviews on the Srixion Pro-100's
  20. Here are a couple more visual aids to better understand what DM is saying:
  21. I have a lot of special needs customers that ask for receipts and marking the box as used or repaired goods with lower value and insurance to avoid customs. I'm happy to do this for you guys just make sure its part of the Paypal memo so i don't forget. My guess is that Dyno mite knows about me maybe even indirectly bought the bag from me but what gets me is passing it off as tour issue and saying avoid expensive shipping when his bag is more expensive than if you were to ship it from Japan. BTW yes I pay 5% sales tax on all purchases. please keep in mind I have to add 8% + shipping to every product. I wish import clubs were cheaper for you all but unfortunately they are not.
