QualityDayDreams Gauge Collection
TourSpecGolfer replied to TourSpecGolfer's topic in Japanese Golf Clubs
I owned both and spent a lot of time with them and the J-Spec. its a piece of crap, The ball don't roll as well as the eldik, it feels unstable compared to the Eldik. The Eldiks got a heavier head a better design and just overall feels and lines up much better. The weight on the J-spec is on top while the Eldik is on the bottom, I had the loft checked on my Jspec and it was different on one side of its face than the other. -
Anika using Tigers old Vokey 60M
TourSpecGolfer replied to TourSpecGolfer's topic in Japanese Golf Clubs
Ive got pictures of her bag with it as well as pics of her holding it from 5/13 issue albatross view. -
Anika Sorenstam is now playing Tigers old custom grind vokey 60M. The wedge says Tiger on it and she has drilled two holes in it to fit her weight preference. Interesting :? her only non Callaway club.

Hiro Honma 420RF Big but Sharp!
TourSpecGolfer replied to TourSpecGolfer's topic in Japanese Golf Clubs
The Fuji is aftermarket and the 420RF is probobly my favorite driver now. I will probobly reshaft the R7 and give it to Tourspecgirl and pick up a 10* 420RF and have JK set it to .5 open face. I have yet to try it in a stock shaft. -
The new 420 RF is a new non conforming driver in Japan. I recently hit it with a Fujikura SKW and was majorly impressed. This Driver is as long as my R7 and definitely more forgiving. The 9* is .5 closed but other than that this Driver is my new #1 Choice! This is the first Honma club I really liked.

Here he is the new Nike man Shingo Katayama he is using an all Nike bag down to the ball everything except his 2-ball DFX or Gauge Eldik. even his new cowboy hat is stamped Nike. Nike must have had to pay big bucks for Shingo he is number 2 in the JPGA under Izawa and he also had lots of sponsors like V-Day clothing, Titan Ion Minus grips and others. Since switching to Nike he has kept the same game coming in top 5 each time. Driver: Nike 380cc Ignite w/Fujikura 660 Tourspec FW's: Nike T-40 Tour & T100 Utility Irons: Nike pro combos 5-PW Wedges: Nike Wedges Putter DFX Blade 2-ball or Gauge Eldik Ball: TA2/LNG Nike Cowboy Hat

There are many balls in Japan that have never made it to U.S shores. The most recent release is the Nike One " AIR BIDAN". Its basically a Nike ONE for swing speeds below 100mph. Taylormade has the A3, X3, & M3 Balls as well as the expensive XR05 Ball. Bridgestone also owns Newig and they make the ball I really like the Super Newig its a very corny comedic brand but the ball go far :o . Tourstage has got the X01, X-01s, Beam, and Synergy ball. Kasco is a very underrated ball maker and a ball called the Dual Mode 150 is their new wanna be Pro V1. Overall I'm excited about trying the "AIR BIDAN" a lot of hype has been put into this one and the upcoming JDI ball.

TourSpecGolfer replied to TourSpecGolfer's topic in Japanese Golf Clubs
Do I smell 1st place contest prize? -
http://www.gd-inc.co.jp/ the shafts you mentioned are not on there.

TN-87sa classic forged blade known for its soft feel. I don't really know much about these except that a few of our members have brand new ones that are extremely hard to find. I had a set in great condition re done by Tourspec Refinishing in copper / Nickel / Nickel finish brushed. The head weights are all the same and each club with its Rifle FCM 6.5 shafts come to D3 perfect :!: . I don't know what to do with these :?: I don't play blades, How much are these worth? Any Mizuno experts here? Never hit a ball ;angel :? [/b]
