Because it is the Conforming version I think that only TM U.S can help you there. Just drop them an E-mail and ship it to them. It looks like a small crack to me.
-
Ive had several heads crack on me before and my best guess is that TM will send you a new club, I returned an ERC 2 head only to atsugi base that i didn't even buy from them and a month later I got a new head with a new stock shaft in the plastic. Should be no problem let us know if it is.

Other new things that are coming are the F-HT 2004 and the X-wedge. To be honest the X-Drive 2 may not be double layer face as they call it. I know they are working on one I'm just not sure which one it is. Can anyone contact a Tourstage N.A rep and find out if they are indeed leaving the U.S?? There were two sets of proto blades made for the U.S that I used to have pics of but I cant seem to find them. Also I heard a rumor that Tourstage N.A might be releasing MR-23s with a different logo on them???

The additional weights have been out for a while now, but they are only 2g and 10g weights. They are expensive at like 60.00 for 4 of them. I think it will be 100.00 for the 8 plug sets. Ive got lead tape all over my R7, Im not sure if the weights really work anymore. I need 25g plugs.

Gauge Forge Cavity Back Irons - Anyone have a review?
TourSpecGolfer replied to HipCheck's topic in Japanese Golf Clubs
Most Iron heads have hand ground edges, for example if you take 10 sets of say XCBs or Titty irons there will be very small differences between them because they are mass produced thousands at a time. At Gauge Japan they only have 1 person grinding the heads an older man by the name of Yasuhiko or something like that and that is why only 130-150 sets of heads max can be done in a months time. There is currently a back order of 300+ sets ( two months worth or more ) but the back order keeps growing. GD uses the best people to do this and does not believe in having a bunch of different hands and techniques touch their product. -
Gauge Forge Cavity Back Irons - Anyone have a review?
TourSpecGolfer replied to HipCheck's topic in Japanese Golf Clubs
Because no one is stepping up here is my take on these irons when comparing them to the X-Blade CB's and MR23's. The Gauge Design Japan Cavity Backs in Satin look just stunning. It is definitely a players CB but with many aspects that make it much more forgiving than XCB's and leagues more than MR23s. The sole is slightly rounded and heel to toe it is longer than the MR23s. When talking feel these are second to none, I used to really love the soft copper feel of the MR23 CB's but it seems the himeji forging feels very similar to a miura forging except softer because the cavity is deeper when compared to the CB1005 straight necks. The design is progressive and the lofts play a little strong so you will need to go a club down. Problem is that they are often sold out as many GD Japan products are. -

Whats in the Bag at the masters?

So its Called GSS by Scotty and DASS by Bettinardi, there is some confusion about this prestigious metal. When metals are broken down into mineral form its true make up becomes clear. There is a limited amount of pure 303SS on the planet and even less pure GSS around. The cost of GSS vs Carbon is 30-50% more in terms of material cost and In order for a metal to be considered pure it must have at least 90% of a certain mineral. That leads me to the question what are the exact mineral contents that make GSS different than SS303? Is it carbon? is it Iron?? Any Insight is appreciated. While at Gauge Designs Japan today I got to feel first hand the difference between GSS and SS303 metals. The GSS had a distinct feel over the SS303. SS304, Nano Cast, and soft carbon steel. The vibrations it makes are so fine yet very noticeable when compared to other metals. 60% of the putters made for the JPGA Tour by GD JPN are made od GSS per request of the Tour player. The only company in Japan that has GSS is Sumitomo inc and it is not cheap stuff even in block form. GSS was made famous by a German Silverware company for the very very wealthy, In fact the silver wear was limited edition also. There is no real name for GSS its basically a mineral make up and the term comes from Scotty Cameron putters. Oh my What a sweet feel and oh my is what people say when they see the price tag. Any insight on the technical aspects would be appreciated :P

Here are some pics of what clubs were in the bags of some of your favorite players. I have pics from almost every player but I only scanned the ones i found to be surprising. P.M Phil has some new proto shafts like the GD PM202 and PM902. Hows the V-Steel in the bag 8O Nick Price had MR23 Blades!! Check out the killed trailing edge on them X-16s Sergio with a Anser style... :D Izawa and Maru both put the X-Drive 2 into play... But Maru has a Nike FW in the bag and his MR23 FW's have a custom grind 8O 8O For these pics enlarged check out the Image gallery!

The new tourstage driver was actually in play at the masters by Petrovich here are some small scans of it. The MR23 Blades are completely sold out at bridgestone so I'm guessing the super small pic of the single CB is next falls MR23 CB. The X-Drive 2 is a proto that Maruyama used at the masters along with Izawa, It takes form in a 325 which is actually 340cc and a 350 which is 365cc.

I dont think they are talking about DM, they are talking about the 3000.00 Super Tour Version. BTW I will be deleting this thread in about 45min.

What do you think about the erc fusion?
TourSpecGolfer replied to Breal's topic in Japanese Golf Clubs
I think the Tour version has a different shape and profile than the retail version. -
I love the R7, Its forgiving long but doesn't feel very good at contact in my opinion. The weight ports don't work really for me, I can set it up to more right and hit it just as left as if it were on more left. The high vs Low trajectories work pretty decent but I just think it needs heavier weight plugs to really make a substantial difference. 16 - 25g plugs are what it needs to make a that difference. I have a Dela Cruz driver coming and it has 50g of weight that can be placed in different parts. I'm not going to be buying a tour R7 because I need a .5 - square face angle, the most i will do is wait for the TP M.A.X version from Japan. Thats right i play non conforming drivers, I have no handicap, and don't enter any tourneys so High C.O.R does not conflict with the system in regards to me.

It says shipping is 1000.00 8O I don't even know how to act or think about this auction. its the craziest thing I have ever seen because people are bidding on it.

TM players paid to use the R7 headcovers and Bag's?
TourSpecGolfer replied to TourSpecGolfer's topic in Japanese Golf Clubs
At the golf fair this year in Tokyo the TM high ups said there will no longer be Tee up money and that the clubs will be built into contract. Does anyone know if this is accurate? -
I have a fujikura Tourspec S.I.X in R flex that played to 44.5 in a deep face MR23 driver. Pm me if your interested.

This is not Killing the Tour market in my opinion, just bringing in honest competition and its only natural for a business to not welcome the competition with open arms. I especially like the part where it says BSG will not exist due to it not being a profitable time investment. making $100 - $200 on a single club is Awesome, its just when you get greedy and want 300-500-1000-2000 when it starts getting very very silly. Money is good but greed isn't. To answer your question Joe, I think an R7 Tour right now is worth 1250.00 and when the TP comes out to the retail market 850.00 then when the R7XD or R??? comes out 400-500.00...its just my guess.
