Mission Impossible Gear you wish you could get your hands on
Start off with some gear that Chris might be able to get pictures and info on from Mizuno, cutting edge stuff in it's day. Mizuno White Fang (an 80's Graphite headed blade, probably all the sets have been trashed and binned by now), very expensive, i lusted after a set of these as a 16 year old kid! Can't find any pictures on the net of them. Mizuno TP2000, ( limited edition Euro PGA tour tiny box blade with some crazy bronze looking finish on them ) Mizuno made a gold colored Ti driver head with a gold shaft, can't remember the model number (TI-700??), late 80's mid 90's... think it retailed at $1500 +

CBS41 Popularity
Yes, you are in a dilemma, you won't find a CBS41 for sale anywhere! :smile1:

CBS41 Popularity
I have the black one, best looking bag ever made. Nobody in their right mind would sell it hence why you won't find one. The CBS51 just looks totally shabby next the the 41, a backward step by Titleist in my view and I can understand why you wouldn't part with your cash on a 51 having seen the 41 I'd go as far to say the 41 is the pinnicle of bag design that will never be equalled (although the white Adidas flag bag is up there too!) Chris, has interest in the 51 approached that of the 41 ???

$10,000 T.W. JAT00
There's a lot of clowns out there making Scotty Cameron a rich man and he's playing these clowns like bitches! Not bad for a coman that made a life from copying a true genius like Karsten Solhiem

golf ball help
Don't know if this helps but I found the Maxfli covers to be a good half way house, not too plasticy covered and sheering but more resiliant than the others. Not my choice for a tournament ball (mines are HX Blue for hardpan, ProV softer conditions) but good for practice bounce games. Maybe your Adidas/TM rep could sort you out.

golf ball help
HX Blue is probably the least durable ball out there, it's total putty but it's great on tarmac greens, highest spinning ball out there. I'd say you'd have to stop with the premium softcovers and play something a little harder esp in the wet damp conditions, if you hosing Pro V covers, everything else at the top end will carve up... the Nikes and Top end Top Flights and all these other mentioned balls actually sheer instead of shredding which for me is worse, the ball is rendered unaerodynamic after one hole hitting a wedge

Why do Pro's bother wearing golf shoes at tournaments.......
Still fall on my ass :smile1: may as well do it in comfort.. the way I see it the Pros get paid to wear golf shoes, caddies don't and if Woods didn't get a bean off Nike to wear their shoes he'd be sporting a pair of New Balance runners... I think these caddies are onto something, after all, I carry my bag around like they do. I'll give a on-course report when I 'sneak' onto the course at the weekend with my sneakers. No more sore feet and tired calves

Why do Pro's bother wearing golf shoes at tournaments.......
Spikeless golf shoes = pair of sneakers. In june and July, a plastic spike offers no more grip than a running shoe sole. Given in the winter you need spikes but the black widows are crap in the muddy wet conditions and most clubs have banned the traditional tungsten metal spike. I'm replacing all my plastic crap for tungsten and f*** them alll !!!! :finger:

Why do Pro's bother wearing golf shoes at tournaments.......
...when alll the caddies wear sneakers & running shoes ???? Defies the prupose really. So there really isn't any point of moaning about spike marks when these asshole caddies leave big heel marks in your line! Is it all just a big scam to charge us more money for a pair of $140 that technically we don't need ???? DIscuss ????

Tour Spin Mills versus Retail Spin Mills
I'm hearing rumours the retail Titty Spin Mills won't have the same aggressive groove layout of the tour wedges and heavier milling marks either. Does anybody know this to be the case ?? Will Titleist be offering the tour satin chrome in retail ??? I've got a chance of a tour wedge and I'm going to take it if the retails are toned down. Help!

Adidas Tour Metals: Any reviews ??
dont know the improvements because i ve never wore adidas shoes until now, have been using white, black, fj classic tours. i have a pair of white tour metals & they are comfy as hell, hafta get me sum black ones! but IMO they look the same to me except for cosmetics of course  I like the short stubby stripes... I'm planning on getting my name embroidered just above the 3 stripes slanting down the way. Will look super cool. Unlike Sergio & Ian P you need factory contacts to get the heel embroidered but my local sports store can do that area just above the stripes Homestylz, time to speak to the rep and get your name on your shoes man!

Taylor Made driver experts - what do I have?

Player's Hybrid
and possibly those who are concerned about improving their scores  That explains why there are absolutely no touring pros who would ever stoop so low as to play a hybrid. Never assume that Pro golfers use anything because it's good. These guys have sold their golfing souls to the devil..... if Taylor Made gave them a couple of mil to play golf with their pants down and a RAC dildo up their ass, well, the Koolaiders would be on a well known website remortgaging their homes to get a 2 dot TP version and golf would be shown on the adult channel! It's all a about shifting units, not about playing well. There's a whole host of guys out there locked into deals with flaky gear they can't play well with, Woods WAS one of them. The list goes on and on, Curtis Strange, Monty, Woosnam etc etc You give these guys too much credit, 80% of them play what they play coz it pays well, not because it plays well.

Player's Hybrid
Players Hybrid is called a one iron !!! All the rest is for sissies with no game

Adidas Tour Metals: Any reviews ??
Anybody know what improvements there are in these shoes over the Z Traxion 3-Stripe ?? For the first time I'd have to say the Black shoe looks better than the white !

Details on this Titleist shaft ? (and some LDA driver pics)
Does anybody have any info on the below shaft (marked Grafalloy Prototype, Custome Built for Titlest) ??? It's fitted to a tour issue 5.5 degree 975d head. And finally a Cobra Long Drive Team issue 5 degree 450 SZ tour head... it's plugged with a 46" Penley Ultron XXX

Tour Issue 905??? Think Not
Apart from the 970, there was another notable Titleist tour only club -driver, the 975D 5.5 degree drivers were Tour only / Long Driving team issue... these weren't available to the general public, 6.5 was the lowest loft in the Titleist catalog in the late 90's although their archive page now shows the 5.5 degree model. Since they bought over Cobra, they don't do these L.D head any more.... but the Cobra 450 SZ is the L.D team choice now, with 3 non standard lofts down to 5 degrees.

Once again, USGA wants to kill technology
I'm probably just as long as I was in the 80's as I am now... in fact I'm a worse player now... the small persimmon and metal heads ment you had to be more exacting when hitting the ball... not now, most players are hitting on parts of the driver face that back in the early days would have been classified as fresh air shots. The new balls don't spin as much as the old balls but they do last longer and play better in the wind (with the exception of the 384 LT.. was a great ball) I'm all for equipement limitations, the equipment gains have helped the chumps and hacker more than the low handicapper

Yamaha at the Tokyo Golf Fair
Alpha Reaction use something similar 15-3-3-3, a face metal.... not sure if shortages in certain alloys means we see these strange numbers on our clubs  Yamaha are fairly cutting edge techno wise... now if it was T.M I'd have my doubts about pixie dust marketing. :surprize:

Curious : Could some of the Tour 905s be pre-release retails
Know your source, that's all I'll say, by the way, wipe that Koolaid from your chin !
