  1. Headcover is rather plain but the sock type which I think is best. Build quality seems ok but I would say original RomaRo equipment probably have a better finish.
  2. Just got my TRPX setup this morning. Hope to hit the range with it today with the 435 and Maxima. Head specs of my S-013 are as per the sticker in the pic. Shaft is the Messenger 1st SR flex installed with tribal silkscreen up. Plays to 45.5 grip on and D1.5 SW with an Iomic Stickey 48 gram grip. Only not too positive is the grip install. No biggy but a bit of tape can be see at the end of the grip. Have also taken a face pic against the 435 and Maxima Type D. TRPX is in the middle. Looks are deciving. Based on purely the satin finish part of the face, the S-013 is the shallower if the 3. Now this is not to say on its own it's shallow. The S-013 measured 50mm, the type D 51.5mm and the 435 53.5 mm. Review will come shortly.
  3. Thought I'd start a TRPX review thread. For anyone who owns or has tried it, pls feel free to add to this thread.
  4. Thanks for sharing Chris! Damn! I gotta go visit again... over 25 years ago is way too long!
  5. He didn;t say. In any case, am exploring with T now in a complete overhaul of one of my old putters I have lying around.
  6. I just emailed him and he replied telling me he does not personally make them. That;s not what I want when customizing a putter.
  7. Dude.. you seem to be making a lot of assumptions about me :-)
  8. Woohoo! Tracking shows its on my shores. I should get it tomorrow afternoon.
  9. Anyone has a custom from this bloke? I've seems his stuff (although limited) on his fb page and I think he has the right lines and style for a theme which I have in mind for my next custom. Anyone has a putter from him? How's his workmanship in the metal and how do his putters roll and feel? Looking at a stainless. His engraving I think is probably the best in the market but rather old school style. Don't care for his stuff with scratch golf though.
  10. Is that all proven though? Personally I much prefer horizontal face mill and feel it gets the ball going better and off the face quicker but there is a strong school of thought that argues that face mill has no bearing on roll at all. So far I have yet to read anything conclusive for either proposition and am still curious to factually find out what the reality is.
  11. Chris, What's the benefit of this face mill pattern over original PZ mill and new gen PZ mill? Has Sasaya-san done any research on it?
  12. Hi Jay, I see what you;re saying. Looking more for something in-between the 19* and driver as I don't carry 3W anymore and don;t want a 4W too.
  13. Thanks C. 1* is all I will try if I do.
  14. Thanks for the tip weight info. Will use the NS shaft I guess.
  15. LOL... perhaps.. how's that doing for you?
  16. I;m guessing no diff for loft or lie. If they are going to break, they'll break. All I want is 1* stronger loft... hmmm, maybe will get a used one and try it.
  17. In my ongoing quest to find a 16/17* hybrid, I'm wondering is the RomaRo UTs (both the Type R and the previous gen) can be adjusted for loft. I'm looking at bending a 18* 1 degree stronger to 17*. Anyone know or tried? Thanks in advance.

  19. Looking at the 17* and was wondering about ball flight etc. Has a 455 face. Thanks in advance.
  20. HI Tom, 2 grams at the head equals 1 SW so all else staying the same, you need 2-3 grams less for 2.5 and 2 SW respectively. As for weight placement, more weight on toe is supposed to be fade bias and vice versa for heel. More weight on the back is supposed to help with launch. PLaying around with my weights on the 435, I found the biggest difference in feel to be with adjustment to the back weight. Changes the feel of the head. Hope I helped some.
  21. LOL... I've never observed that but now that you mention it, perhaps that was the subconscious source of inspiration... not my bike anyways... gave that up a long time back and think its too dangerous now... getting old... but the Confederate looks really good and specs wise seems to be not just looks too.
  22. SOLD shipped normal post with track and paypaled.
