  1. Good to hear Rob. I have good news for you. Once you really get used to her and dial her in, you'll probably get even better results but again, so that you do not get dissapointed, expect not to :-). As for the sound, I think the comments made on sound and feel are comparative. On its own, its not that bad but compared to my old AF101, no fight in terms of sound and feel but for performance on carry, roll and outright distance, the AF101 can;t hold a candle. And as you have found out, the 435 is also workable. It's the near complete destroyer for a better player which I of course am not. Congrats again and enjoy many straight long drives with her and low rounds!

THe local dealer has a box of F3 and F4 for the past several months or so which I think is to be given for demo. Collecting dust. No desire to even try them whatsoever.
  3. Not true. It depends on the model. For the TJ46, stiff is 7.2 and for another model from the Black range, stiff could be 7.4. Case in point... the LY01 Noir and the LY01 Hot Black I think or at least that is what I noticed for the regular flexes where the former is 6.2 and the latter 6.4. SR would be more 6.7 and 6.9 depending n which model I think.
  4. Cool! Which model?
  5. That is true too. I never knew that about the LY02 though. Live and learn.

Measured this last night on a Mitchell rule and this is 44 inches in length bump.
  7. If you;re more a swinger profile, I think a 6.9 with your 102 should be nice. Then again, I come from the "play the softest you can control" school.
  8. What not play the 435 at a length you are most comfortable with. While the 435 I feel can played at any length, I don't think, unlike the Premia, it was meant to be played at close to 46 and above? Playing the shaft you like most at the length you are best at will take away vairables which will allow you to better assess if this head i right for you. Just 2 cents VAT included.

    Upzzzz
  10. That is what I have been using with success in my 10* 435 and was about to recommend that. I think Byron also recommends the TJ-46 for his swing speed range. And as an added peach, the color scheme of the TJ46 fits the Jbeam head very nicely.
  11. Sorry but you never hit past anyone in front anytime under any circumstances. This hardass rule is a good rule and your explanation is so flawed in so many instances.... But whatever dude, just as long as we are not on the same course which seems a near impossibility to begin with...

Really smooth and great performing shaft here guys. All Roddios can be tip trimmed to play stiffer if required. This is untipped.

    Anyone have the 752s?
  14. If you were on the putting green of a non Par 3 and a really short Par 4 where one on is possible, there is nothing wrong with them teeing off. In fact they should to keep up with the pace. And yes, very bad taste for you, or anyone to tee off with anyone just 100 yards in front. What if you skulled your shot and hit them? Even Pros can skull their shots what more you a non-Pro. You violated a major rule in social golf which is safety first. If you had done that to me, we would have had serious words and I would have had the marshals remove you immediately. Very bad taste and nothing much funny at all I'm afraid.
  15. Just a tad and my experience is once I go light, its hard to move up in weight again. The 752is will also be just slightly lighter than my NS Pro 750 after butt trim but it'll be very close. I'm really surprised at how stable these shafts are and still early days with one range session and one round, and I swear, these are longer (1/2 club?)and dispersion is perhaps even better hence my interest in getting the slightly heavier 752is. The SR flex in the 652is which I hardstepped once is perhaps just a tad stiff as well but only just so for the R flex 752is, I will hard step them once and may even need to twice to get them close to the SR flex of the 652is. A very very short stint with these irons shafts so far but very very favorable initial impression. Or maybe I should just bite the bullet and stick to the 652is already. I recall you playing Roddio shafts in your irons? Still playing them?

  17. Anyone know why Quadra offers a Regular flex only for 752i but R, SR and S for their lighter 652i series? Would have been nice if they had a SR flex for the 752 series and I'm not keen on tip trimming although Quadra recommends 1/2 inch tipping for additional 8CPM.

The 435 continues to rock I tellya! If you can handle her, she rewards you very well and that is not to say she is hard to handle to begin with.
  21. These heads are long and forgiving and the seller is a good guy.
  22. The 435 is not sold?! For those even mildly interested, it's really still one of the longest heads out there!
