S-Yard T388 vs XV Comparo Thread
I haven;t hit the 388 enough and probably do not intend to the XV but I would imagine the former will be less forgiving of the 2 but more workable both trajectory wise and left to right and vice versa.... as you imagine, what anyone would expect of a larger and smaller head. Feel wise, I would imagine 388 feeling more compact and solid and the XV solid but somewhat more hollow. 388 more of the players driver and the more then mid capper and higher, the XV but not so much that a strong single won;t want to game it.

Interesting. I specifically asked the rep where these were forged and he mention by endo in japan.

I did try the 56. A very rounded sole but felt soft as well. Spin was very decent even with range rocks.

Roddio Pentacross Iron shafts
I tired some crazy iron shafts in Epon 502s a while back. Cant rememebr which model Crazy iron shafts but they were far from the best feeling shafts. Owner felt the same and switch out to the Fuji MCI shafts. A world of difference he feels and I concur. Much much better feeling. Disapointing from Crazy that time.

No love here at all for Yonex?
Found it. Its called the Yonex Ezone Forged CB Iron.. "Designed for the player needing an easier, comfortable forged iron, the EZONE Forged PB (Pocket Back) with its mid-sized Japan forged head, off-set flow design, peripheral weighting and pocket back cavity gives a new level of feel and control for ambitious players. It's an easy to use iron that delivers ‘attack the pin’ performance, and is available in 4-PW with Regular or Stiff NS950 Steel shafts."

The Blades were amazingly forgiving and the feel.... wow and they had stock DG S300s on them and they felt great. Nice clean design. Satin/matt like finish. Very very nice! But its the one I snapped that has me thinking now. Only down side of that is the slightly big size. Apart from that, very nice. And not too much offset as well.

I don;t think its the Nano V which I saw at my fitters the other day (coincidentally now that I think of it).

No love here at all for Yonex?
There was a demo day at the range I frequent today and one of the brands was Yonex. I have not noticed it being mentioned here at all and was wondering why. I say this because they felt wonderful to hit! The rep tells me they forged by endo for them and the feel definitely confirms that. The muscle back (can't remember model) felt soft, solid, dense and all nice adjectives you would associate with a great club and was, for a muscle back, extremely forgiving. The club that impresses me is a 2012 CB model. Again I know not the model and would e greatly if anyone can help out. Although it was shafted with a DG S200 which is heavier and I think stiffer than my quadra 652 SR hard stepped, it felt so good hit and very forgiving. The size looked a tad big but that 6I was so easy to hit. Anyone know the model? Oh.... Hit some stones lofted On Off as well. Nice but not as nice as the Yonex CB despite the on off being shafted with a NS Pro 950.

Selling a 2 time pull new graphics Crazy CB46 shaft in 6.2 or Regular flex. This has been tip trimmed 1/2 inch and the length is 43 3/4 inches long. This is a driver length shaft. Crazy describes this as giving the distance of the TJ46 and control of the CB50. This is a very smooth feeling shaft. http://www.tourspecgolf.com/product_info.php?products_id=3179 Graphics are in great condition and I have left the 3 gram lead tip weight in there. The stuff you see about the hosel mark is the residue from a Japanese ferrule which does a mission impossible dissolve thing when heated. Your ferrule will easily cover this and your fitter should know how to remove the residue. No impact on performance if course. This has the Crazy sticker of authenticity. Because I have tipped it 1/2 inch to make it play stiffer, I have lowered my normal asking price for a good condition crazy shaft. Withdrawn. Thanks for looking.

Roddio Pentacross Iron shafts
Bit the bullet and went with with shafting the 652is. Have played about 6 rounds with them. These are SR flex and I hard stepped them once as I still play the Shimada NV110 in my SX PW. The shafts still feel a tad on the light side but surprisingly very stable. It could be due to the hard stepping. When I am not swinging well and making decent contact, I do find them a tad stiff but only a tad. Pure hits are very well rewarded with a solid feel, sound, dispersion and trajectory. I would say on average, these give me about 1/3 to 1/2 a club more. Where this shaft is better for me than the NS Pro 750 is dispersion. Despite being lighter weight, I find them tighter. I do realize these could very well be due to them being a tad stiff for me but with the slight increase in distance I am seeing as well, I see no reason for now to switch back to my 750s. Trajectory is similar to slightly lower than the 750 but more strong if that makes sense. This is the first time I am playing graphite shafts in irons. An indication of age, fitness, flexibility etc but so far no regrets. Still playing the best golf of my life and had another sub 80 round the other day. if you are thinking of graphite shafts, try the Quadras as they have pretty much all weight categories covered. Something which the Roddios do not.

Shimada shafts
Sorry no. I think I have read however, the few posts here on the 7001, that those who tried it were not too impressed with it relative to the 3001.

Shimada shafts
i think for all the remake editions, its the 7001.

Fire Express and MAx WBQ
Thanks for this Chiro. Any crazy shafts you really familiar with that you can compare and contrast? Also, the normal FEX seems to play softer than the Crazy's flex for flex, how's the WBQ in this regard? I see the CPM numbers from Quadra to indicate it plays softer to flex. THE WBQ 55 stiff I am looking at is 250CPM while the FEX 55 Stiff is 254 CPM.

What do you guys think of the new Fourteen FH1000?
Thanks for indulging Chris. Your first para.. I can;t agree more. Its not so much where but what and how. The LFA is rather fantastic! But at over a million SGD to get that on the roads here, I can;t quite afford that unfortunately LOL
