welcome to the forum. i got hooked a couple years ago and envious of some of these members and their equipment. i took the plunge earlier this year and got some tourstage viq forged irons. really glad i have them. it's contagious though. now on my list is the geotech forged iron heads. if only i had a bigger budget i'd have the whole bag from this site. good luck
  2. just curious for those that have taken lessons, who they really like and the teaching ideas that worked best for them. also, any one certain tip or suggestion that just 'clicked' for you and helped you progress?
  3. can't really tell the finish on the geotechs. are they satin finish or chrome?
  4. wow, those sure are sweet. anything done with a dark finish looks great. send me a pm. are you still up to playing next week?

i may play the guinea pig. will likely try the EK model. on the geotech site they list that they have the 3 iron available as well. i wonder if chris could get the #3 too.

yep. scratch says they use 1018. prob. very similar in design. doesn't always mean they will feel the same. i'm still eying the EK model.

i was actually looking and thinkingof the EK forged iron. i sent an email to Chris about these but haven't heard anything back. wonder if they are slightly larger and more forgiving than this design?
  9. would local cleveland reps now be able to get srixon japan goods?

you posted that you will be carrying the full geo-tech lineup. what besides the driver do you anticipate having and what have you heard about their iron lineup? thanks.
  11. actually that srixon zr700 is the sweeter looking one.
  12. regarding the srixon i701, is that a u.s version or strictly a japanese issue. i thought it was a model just released here in the states.
  13. thanks. helps a lot.
  14. slightly off the subject, but comparing the 2007 tourstage viq to the 2008 x blade, what difference will i see? are the x blades to be a bit better or softer feeling but still have sim. forgiveness. i too am somewhat interested in the tc550's. thanks
  15. thanks. have you by chance ever hit any of the fourteen cavity backs? are they as sweet as i hear?
  16. currently have the viq forged from tourstage but really liking the clean looks of the new fourteen 550 to come out. will i see any noticable difference in the playability of these two irons in regards to forgiveness? even though they prob. aren't out yet, which would most likely have a thinner topline? thanks
  17. would it be safe to infer that kyoei also makes the yururi cb's?
  18. can't find any pics or info on the macgregors. do you have a link or pic?
  19. new viq forged? they just came out with a new viq forged this year. why would they put out a new model so quickly?
  20. you're all tempting me on getting rid of the viq forged for the 550's.
  21. as someone with a decent game but not a lot of resources, i'd dearly love to participate just for the opportunity to not only see, but actually hit all these jewels of equipment. i'm fortunate i at least have a nice set of tourstage viq forged. by the way, what do you envision the new trend or look next year's clubs will be?
  22. if you get a set of the fourteens', please give a review.
  23. gochin: what's your take on the new fourteen 550? any chancy you'll get around to trying these? just wonder how they would perform next to the viq forged? they do look sweet
  24. sorry. not sure how i came up with scott. if you could pm me pricing, i'd appreciate it. thanks
  25. can scott get his hands on any of the geo tech components? would be a nice alternative.
