when do you expect to get a sample or sets of the new tourstage GR forged irons in? i am anticipating this set but would actually like to see at least pics and if possible size/comparisons between it and the 703 irons. Thanks

Thanks. I'm interested though in the new GR but does being made in China make it any less quality? I love the feel of the forged viq's i have and don't want to lose that.

i looked up on the brigdgestone/tourstage site and noticed that when looking at a couple clubs, one says it is 'assembled' in japan, and the other says assembled in china. the 703 says japan, while the new GR says china. Are both these clubs forged by Endo and just taken elswwhere for assembly, or what is the difference? thanks
  5. Thanks. How soon then do you think the second set of irons will get a comparison. Interested in the new forged GR from tourstage looks and compares.
  6. what shaft options will be available for the gr forged model. also, how thick is the topline and sole? thanks
  7. yep. those new forged GR irons look very good. i've got the 07 VIQ forged and they are the best feeling irons i've hit. only wish they were a tad smaller. i think the new GR would be what i'm looking for too. so it looks like i'll have my viq's for sale soon. anyone interested?
  8. have you had a chance to hit or do any comparisons for the new Tourstage GR forged irons? what size are they in comparison to other company's clubs? i know they fit between the 703 and their other GI clubs, but to other brands I am curious. thanks
  9. gochin: you are saying the yamaha is likely the larger of the heads? in the pro shop, they list the yamaha as a very small compact head. is is pretty similar to the tourstage 703 in size and forgiveness? also, any idea on the final results getting posted?
  10. i have hit the srixon ztx irons (u.s model). is there a difference between the japan model and the u.s? also, how would you compare the size and topline to it to the tourstage 703? thanks
  11. yes, jeff(idrive) is a good guy. i've had the opportunity to play with him a few times. always been a pleasure. i may see if he still has any fourteen tc550's on hand.
  12. i have a very clean set of tourstage 07 VIQ 3-pw irons with stiff flex nippon 950 shafts. I would like to trade for set of Fourteen TC550 irons. Thanks,
  13. supo: tell me how the srixon fares against the adams 9015.
  14. a test or comparison i would like to see is between the ts 703 and the epon 502 irons. i currently have the tourstage forged viq (07) and love the feel and they are as easy to hit as anything, but would like something just a tad smaller. perhaps i should post a thread asking for the comparison.
  15. the irons look exactly like the Alpha C1 irons as well as horsepower golf's forged irons(which in fact are the same) .
  16. It shouldn't! but in many peoples' eyes it does.
  17. gocchin: can you compare a bit the 703 tourstage to the new Epon 502. size, topline, softness of feel, etc? thanks are the 703's still geared more to the better player and the 502 to the mid capper?
  18. will geotech have any new forged irons coming out soon? thanks
  19. so jeff, which irons do you think will be the eventual gamers-----302, 502, or skydreams?

chris: a little off the subject, but as i read your review you said in the top 5 off all time. what are your top 5(in no particular order)?
  21. The ferrules are all matching as you can see in the other picture. As a quick experiment I had switched shafts in that 7 iron which had a different ferrule. It is now switched back and matching. I will get the lofts measured and post them today. Also added a picture of the faces.
  22. one time price reduction down to $300.00.
  23. have you or anyone hit these yet? i've still got the 07 forged viq's. would the feel be similar?
