  1. sorry, i didn't even check back on this post. yes, i did end up selling them. i do miss them a bit, and wonder if the new 709 irons are really much different? i'm guessing the 709cb would be most similar though, but never got a definate answer

anyone have any comparison? would like to know as well.
  3. hmmmm. geotec had a head several years ago that was identical looking to this Crazy head. TSG used to carry it. must have been at least 4 years ago. not sure what the model name was though. so i'm not sure if it's an open head design, as i've seen the same head with another name on it over the years as well. i'm sure others here can offer something as well.
  4. Chris thanks for keeping an update on the tourstage. I just sold my 703xblade cavity backs. Still hard to gather whether these 709cb are smaller or same size in your opinion than the 703. topline, offset, sole width, etc?? I've had a couple tourstage and likely stay with the brand, but just need a tad more info. slight chance i could look into one of the others though G
  5. Thanks Chris. Helps out a bit. But just a couple more things if you don't mind: is the cb pretty similar to the 705M then? Again, i just sold my xblade703. Is the cb pretty much the replacement, or is it even a bit larger than the 703? it may be hard to describe, but if you had to put in order of smallest to largest, how would you put the 703, 705m, 709cb, and the 709mc(and even the bridgestone j40pocket cavity if you're familiar)? I appreciate any help and knowledge you can offer. G
  6. anything yet, Chris? just wondering if i'll really see a difference over the 703, or which one is closest to it ,and if the other is smaller/larger. Thanks, G
  7. mjr d: do you mean you have the 709mc? if so, that's the one i'm considering. i currently have the xblade 703 and want to know the differences are between the two, or is the 709cb more the same as my 703? thanks for the help guys
  8. Chris or Tario: Have you seen in person both the tourstage 709mc irons as well as the 709 cb irons? how much larger is the cb than the mc model? can you give estimates comparing each to the 703xblade cb? Thanks,
  9. in regards to the MC and the xblade 703, can you make comparison in size, topline, sole width, and overall forgiveness between the two? thanks
  10. wow, over 110 hits but no replies. lowered the price to 600 now but can't go any lower. Awesome deal for fantastic irons. Thanks for looking. SOLD
  11. I have a set of Tourstage X-Blade 703 irons, 4-PW with Nippon NS Pro950 Stiff flex shafts. Very, very good condition. Iron covers used throughout. Original Tourstage grips. Standard loft, lie, length except for 7 iron which I bent 2 degrees flat. I got these 2 years ago when I worked for Bridgestone, but have been playing my J40 irons instead. Selling for $600. Cannot do trades. Thank you.
  12. if possible, can you do a drawing example of the modus3, 1050, and 1150?
  13. prob wouldn't matter what shaft sergio is playing in his irons. his iron control and ballstriking have generally been very good, it's hit putting is what's hindered him from his potential.
  14. the cavity back is exactly like a gauge design fcb i used to have.
  15. gbs: just curious---what is it about tourstage that you don't care for? i've been happy with my ts irons, but wondering.
  16. hey, let me know how you like the nc1 irons. i still have a set myself. i don't find them difficult to hit at all. while not large and a super game improvement club, it still has forgiveness. i wouldn't call it a real small or too compact at all. i still get them out time to time. still love the look of them. btw, how did you stumble across these? haven't seen or heard much in awhile about them, but when i got mine, they really got a lot of talk here.
  17. thanks for the info, chris. wasn't aware of the metal properties and how the treatments could affect the heads. in your opinion, what head that endo forges(regardless of brand) does have the softest feel then?
  18. question also on the s15. some time ago there was a lot of squawk about scratch golf saying they are using s15 steel and the response here was that it was either inferior or not being ideal for golf irons. so then why would you promote this is the quelot?
  19. i'd love to see a picture of your bag. how are you liking the geotech tour issue irons? have you hit the newest geotech proto ones and could compare the feeling between the two?
  20. would like to see a review on these as far as the feel of these are. design-wise i would guess they are on a similar thought as the new romaro ray H------half blade/cavity. looks good for sure.
  21. looking for a set of pullout Nippon Modus 3 shafts in stiff flex. 4-pw needed. must be reasonable in price. let me know what you have. thanks.
  22. well, i actually just got pretty much a full bridgestone lineup now. i did ball fittings for bridgestone over the summer and got a break on the j40 pocket cavity irons, 2 wedges, 16* fairway wood, and 18* hybrid. so far i'm loving all of them. kind of wish i had went with modus3 shafts though. i also have ts703 irons, and the bstone feel pretty much identical with about the same forgiveness. actually i like the thinner sole and finish better on the j40's.
  23. for the good of this group and forum, send them to me and i'll give them a go and give a report!! great looking sticks. wish i had ordered the modus shafts myself
  24. i'm sure gochin would say what is coming soon, but i'm curious too! not that i need anything!
  25. what was the ballflight like in the modus compared to the project x and the kbs? i'm tempted to switch to modus in my tourstage, which have 950 shafts and flight is just a tad high. figure a little lower may help?
