  1. I'm not the expert but I say it's REAL!

I've been playing standard lie for all my golf years and fitted as such. Also just got fitted as standard for my Epons. What makes ppl think Epons play more upright than other irons?
  3. Wow! Counterfeiting shafts now??
  4. Ed: I went with Aerotech steel fibers and mainly about my bad elbows and wrists like yourself. I'm now a big believer in a shaft that feels like graphite but has the accuracy and consistency of an iron shaft. Went to MaxOut Golf in CA many years ago to get fitted for some Mizuno MP 32's and the fitter says "no doubt, you're a great candidate for Aerotech shafts...10 years later I go to Novo Golf in NJ (great high end JDM gear and fittings) and Bill says: "best for you would be Aerotech!" I'm not a big shaft ho, just love the look and feel of the Aerotechs.
  5. Stunning set and a great review and pics! I love the blacks and really considered that finish with my newly purchased Epon 502's, but knowing something about myself and how I would not dry and then oil the irons as much as would be reqired or fear of them rusting up on me, I chose chrome. Again, great purchase and I'm sure they'll serve you well for many years to come.

Funny stuff! I used to constantly get thrown off Bombsquad Golf for disagreeing with the owners. Even sadder to think that I spent a wad of cash with them for their crap lime green shafted drivers, only to be banned weeks later. Could you ever imagine buying a Mercedes and then the salesman chases you out of the store because you may have talked about a Lexus or questioned their service? These guys are wildly paranoid.

I'm gaming the Chikara wedges which are new to me, although many here with experiences. Figured I would try one just for fun in a black oxide 54 degree wedge and can't beieve how much that sucker spins. Also nice to know that a wedge that used to retail for $250/wedge can be had for a lot less these days.
  8. Broken link on chikara blades.
  9. Is my conversion correct at over $1700 USD? How much was this setup new?
  10. What, no love for Epons?! Seriously, if you're looking at the clubs you're looking at, you MUST include Epons. As an ugly American, I had no clue about Epons....Miuras were about as exotic as it got for me, but hitting a whole slew of irons, the epon 502's ended up blowing away everything else I tested in terms of feel, ball speed, looks, etc. Also not trying to be a jerk, but why as a 25 handicap are you going with blades?
  11. Any club is susceptible to being counterfeited.

Hey, your only real connection to the club is your grip, so if that's not feeling right, nothing will feel right. I'm also a big (recent) fan of the Iomics. Perfect blend of soft and hard and more water resistant than most grips out there. Also like the fact that I can play with all sorts of obnoxious colors like the chartreuse greens I have on my Epon 502's;)

Nice indeed. Had no idea Carl did putters. I have a couple chikara wedges and great quality all around.
  14. How can I tell with respect to the putter or the golfers in Switzerland?? I lived in Zurich for 4 years...I see you live in Switzerland yourself. Very few golf courses, very limited practice facilities and the Swiss are better known for top tennis and skiers vs golfers. Certainly Jesper Parnevik has made his mark, but very few other Swiss pros. Swiss engineering has always been a marvel and that putter looks interesting, but there will be no or extremely few buyers at that price from a relatively unknown putter maker.
  15. Anyplace in the US to demo the club? Guessing not but thought I would ask.
  16. Perfect...thanks for taking the time.
  17. Great input JM, but are you getting fitted via a live conversation or emails? Also is Tario same as Gocchin??
  18. I am giving serious consideration to buying a Ryoma driver and have filled out the email fitting form. That being said, it makes me a bit twitchy to do a fitting via email vs in person or at a minimum having a live conversation with someone especially considering the cost involved. Is there a direct number to speak to someone at TSG? What's the collective comfort level that fittings from TSG have been accurate? I would hate to be one of these guys who buys a $1000+ driver only to find it doesn't work for him and then left to try to figure out what head/shaft combination actually does work. I did an on line fitting some years ago with BSG in the US that was costly and never got me the results I was looking for. Thanks for the input!
  19. The Swiss are some of the worst golfers in the world. Not sure I would trust them with building a putter for me, especially at that price!
  20. Are the new Ryomas non-conforming? Also can we get a bit more info on the 3 woods at this stage? Tough to order or consider an order sight unseen. THanks
  21. These look fake to me as well...unsure if its the same seller (this guy out of Australia), but who's dumb enough to bid on clubs and pay $899.00 to some guy who's got a 50% positive approval rating and where the world (except this guy) is aware that theyre fakes all over Ebay. AND one of the negative responses states that he believes his clubs were from China! I actually feel sorry for the guy, unless of course theyre real(??) http://www.ebay.com/itm/EPON-Japan-Forged-Af-502-iron-4-p-4-9-p-/170702801897?pt=Golf_Clubs&hash=item27beae0be9
  22. Are there any grips other than Iomics

Looking to buy a Chikara 57 degree black oxide wedge with very little wear (8 or 9 out of 10).
  24. I have an interest in the 57 degree if you're willing to separate. I'm in New Jersey. Can you also please send face pics and grips to: [email protected] Thanks!
