I also asked Chris today when my AF301 irons would ship and they actually arrived an hour later! Beautifully packaged with a note detailing the specs. Can't wait to hit them.

Now they're getting me interested. At some point I will have to try the AF301s and maybe the driver.

I've ordered 2 of the new Seida wedges because they simply look pure. I kind of like the Jersey numbers as well. Will review once I receive them.

The TS X01r4 is indeed a little hard but the X01g4 is a very good ball - best TS ball yet imo.

The specs for the wedge are; Loft 52 Lie 62.5 bounce 9 F.P.3.5 Loft 56 Lie 63 bounce 14 F.P. 3.5 Loft 60 Lie 63.5 bounce 10 F.P. 5 The F.P. figure means Face Progression which is a fancy way of saying "Offset". You don't find the offset too noticeable?

What's the thinking behind the face progression? Not sure I'm keen on that feature.

Goes to show you how each one's perceptions vary greatly. The Del Mar 3.5 has been my favourite head shape and I've owned many, including the Pro Platinum, the Sergio Garcia, a custom 3XB, and one I still have which is a CT SSS 3XB 350g. I actually thought the Pro Platinum was pretty soft. I'll be in Tokyo in 3 weeks and if I don't find a putter there, I'll most likely take this one (assuming it's still on the block). Thanks, Didier

Although I haven't tried the new Fourteens, I'd have to agree that the new X Wedges spin a lot. Compared to the various Mizunos and Gold's I've been playing, the X Wedges spin more. Not my preferred head shape but they're working well so I'll leave them in the bag for the time being - good wedge.

I have a regular foursome on thursdays where we play Mission Hills. It's a bit of a trek but we're in a 7 seater configured in a way that we play cards all the way up and all the way back. Mission Hills is truly unbelievable. The 12 courses are separated into 2 areas (Shenzhen and Dongguan). Almost every decent golfer's favourite track up there is the Faldo (Stadium) Course, along with the Nicklaus (World Cup) Course. The Norman course is a b*tch from the tips or even the gold tees. Slope rating is 145-150. Played the Leadbetter this week and shot a very good 77. They're about to open the Pete Dye design which I hope to be every bit as good as the Faldo (they're next to eachother). There are indeed about 3,000 caddies there and it's a bit of a hit and miss. Yes they're usually always smiling and very professional at carrying clubs back and forth from the cart. However, 90% can't read a green to save their lives and once in a while they bring the 4,5,7,8 irons when what you really need is the 6 iron

Are you referring to the 2007 X Drive as not being very forgiving? I beg to differ. It's one of the most forgiving drivers I have ever played (the 460). Haven't had the pleasure of playing an Epon but I have no desire to try any other driver at this time. I'm also one of the biggest HOs here so that's saying a lot!
