  2. While we're on the subject of CT Cameron mallets, here's mine; :tsg_smilie_cool:
  3. The Marus are same grind as 2005 X-Wedges but his swing weight and length are unique. The 2006 X-Wedges have a different grind as demonstrated on their website; 2006 X Wedge

Instead of Dave getting a W505 to match the irons, I've taken the i505s off his hands to come join my W505 :tsg_smilie_cool:
  5. Beautiful, clean-looking wedge.
  6. If you have the budget for a Tour Cameron, I've got a CT Del Mar 3.5 SSS 3XB.
  7. Single digit capper. Demoed a 7 iron. Very nice but not as forgiving as a true CB.
  8. Send Tourspecgolfer a PM (private message).
  9. Selling a 9/10 Tourstage X-ST 3 wood. Shafted with the awesome Red Diamana M73 stiff, 42.5", D3, untipped. Brand new Golf Pride Decade Multi-Compound grip. Only the colour.
  11. I sold my Gauge Forged L a while ago and still have my Tour Del Mar 3.5 but I'd say they are pretty similar. What I do prefer about the Forged L is the 3-line alignment. Most seem to think a single line or single dot is more "pro-like" but the 3-lines help square a putt very easily. If you like this head shape, it feels and putts better than any retail Cameron Del Mar 3.5 (and I've owned every single version).
  12. Both irons play as they were designed to: the NC-1s are very soft, nicely forgiving, hit a little higher, and are a wonderful forged CB. The MB2s are a little less soft, hit slightly lower, more workable, but are solid and pure. I opted to stay with the MB2s for the time being just because they felt more predictable for my swing. Nevertheless, the NC-1s are as good a forged CB as anything out there. Both sets are tops in the looks department so it all comes down to individual preference.
  13. How was the feel?
  14. Maybe the sexiest irons i've ever seen :tsg_smiley_yes:
  15. I haven't played the PTs yet but if you're looking for a bit more kick and distance than the silver Diamana then definitely try the red Diamana M. However, Chris says the PTs have been specifically designed to kick the Diamanas out of the bag so you may want to try that.
  16. Better if you give some info about your swing and what characteristics you're looking for in the shaft.
  17. Have played about 5 rounds with mine. Shafted with NS 1150 stiffs. First impressions are that they're very soft, softer than my previous MP60s. Very forgiving, seem workable both ways, look real nice, and are every bit as good as anything else out there. Too early for a detailed review but I reckon G-Field will establish itself as a serious brand with top notch products. I'm already playing the irons, the GFT fairway wood, and the M2+ proto. Will definitely be trying the driver as well once it's launched. You can really see that the company has invested heavily into developing a serious line of golf clubs. If you're looking for a set of forged CBs, you won't be disappointed with the G-Field NC-1s

  20. BM, Feed the word up to upper management that these are some of the ugliest "premium" putters in recent memory... :tsg_smiley_no:
  21. Borrowed Aluniser's set of Gauge Design MB2s shafted with NS1150 X-stiffs. Played one round with them and must say I'm quite impressed. Sets up nicely even though the cutaway topline seemed a little odd in the shop. Finish is superb and the "blade" is very classy. Hit a lot of great shots with them. Nice boring trajectory (of course partly due to the 1150 Xs). Ball held its line very well on a windy day. I noticed the grooves are distinctly sharper than on the MP60s I had been playing. The sole grind glides through the turf with no effort at all. Had a couple chips with the PW and distance control was very good. They're a tad harder than the MP60s but still feel very nice. I love the satin finish which is more durable than regular forged chrome. Keeping the ball lower was no problem and distances were very consistent. The long irons were easy to hit as well. Not much to add after one round but I am impressed. I have a set of G Field NC-1s on the way and if they're even better than the MB2s as some people say, I'll be set for a while... Anyone who might be skeptical about Gauge irons can rest assured that these are the real deal. Overall quality and feel of these irons remind me of Tourstage irons and they might actually even be better imo. As Chris can attest, I had been very reluctant to purchase any Gauge irons since I had doubts that a putter/wedge specialist could design and build irons to match the quality of those from the big Japan OEMs. I was wrong and am now sold on GD/GF irons. If they play their cards right, the brand could make a big impact outside of Japan in the future :tsg_smiley_yes:
