Anyone know that UST Tour shaft with the yellow tip?........
http://www.ustgolfshaft.com/USTWeb/Product...tail.aspx?id=63 i don't think the Proto version has anything different from the V2 (or the one i'll be getting). As for how the specs are for it, the tip is really stable with low torque, but it is also responsive for better launch (still launches medium but barely twists at impact). Great overall shaft, which is a good reason for its tour popularity.

As soon as that shaft comes out (June 1), it's going on my Launcher 400. As soon as i saw Adam Scott use it as a prototype early in the year, i knew that i wanted it.

Painting Shafts
I still think that the best way to ensure that it stays on is to find out what the shaft companies use to paint their shafts. Getting the original recipe always helps. Find out what type of paint and what type sealent and such that they use, find out how they apply it, and then test it. I would definately do it for my shafts.

World's Tallest and Fastest Roller Coaster
sly_sam replied to italianstallion's post in a topic in Out of Bounds: Lifestyle, Luxury, Autos, Hobbies, High Tech GearThat roller coaster scares me but if you somehow convinced me to get on it i might try it. If it was my own will, i'd be a wuss and not go on it. The whole roller coaster thing just isn't for me. Plus, in West Edmonton Mall, the coaster that they have fell off the tracks one time and i think all the people that were riding it died. Thats not helping me get on a roller coaster. They've since remade it and it's now alot safer. Anyone who isn't from around Edmonton been to the West Ed Mall? ( mostly to the people who aren't from Canada)

interlock or overlap?
The grips are made more specifaclly for hand size and comfort level. I don't have really long fingers or large hands so i use the interlock. I've used the interlock all my life (i don't even remeber gripping a club any other way). I can use the ovelap okay, but there is spaces between my hands and it's not a firm hold. My golf bud uses the ten figer grip that he switched from the overlap. He says its almost the same.

Painting Shafts
I like the idea, i think if you had a paint type that was slightly flexable ( or in other words, one that wasn't too rigid and easy to crack) it would difninatey work. You need the right paint is all. I'll ask at Golf Town in Edmonton if they've evr had this done for one of their customers or if it is possible. I'd think you'd have to use the same type or paint that is used to paint the shaft when it comes in stock. Also, many shafts will have a protectant that makes the shaft feel smooth. I'd give it a try, if i had the right place to do it, the right materials, and a couple of test shafts that i could do.

What else does it for you?
sly_sam replied to DoubleAA's post in a topic in Out of Bounds: Lifestyle, Luxury, Autos, Hobbies, High Tech GearHockey for sure is my number one sport to watch other than golf. I also like to watch Basket Ball once and a while. Even tennis can ocasionally be interesting but not really.

Never watched the animated version, i hated that. My favourite villian was Penguin. They're coming out with a new Batman movie this year, i forget when though.

Como Come Putter Cover....Shigeki "style"
I think that, having a zipper on the back of it, rasies the price. I'm not sure, but all i know is that i'm the only person i've seen who has a Canadian Zip Headcover thats white with red maple leaves on it. Didn't see one at either of my Golf Town stores ( two in edmonton). I'll keep looking though, the same way i've been looking for those mysterious J. Lindeberg wrist bands (the ones like Jesper Parnevik wears), everytime i'm there they tell me that they're all out. Thanks though for all of your comments on my headcover, its also nice to see that other people have seen it before.

Como Come Putter Cover....Shigeki "style"
Being from Canada, I'm a huge fan of Mike Weir. I bought a headcover that is quite similar to his (other than the fact that his has his name on it). The main difference between his and mine is that mine has a zipper running down the back instead of velcro. I found it when i was in Jasper (a tiny town situated in the Rocky Mountains, in western Canada) for my vaction last summer. It was in a small golf shop and they only had a handful of them. It's quite good quality and cost me a good deal of money ($45). Since then, i've not come across any headcover like it. Nor have i golfed with anyone who has it. this had led me to the conclusion that this headcover is a raity (haven't found it on the internet either). Like you though, i love headcovers that are interesting and stylish. It really spuces up your bag. http://www.fototime.com/ftweb/bin/ft.dll/d...creenheight=768

Moscar's Bag (PICS)
I can't complain about your bag. I like how you have that somewhat retro Taylormade 13*. Thats what you call getting something that works instead of taking advantage of technology(remeber tigers old three wood). Guys on tour still use old woods like you (Adam Scott and his Three wood, Davis Love III as well) both those guys use Titleist PTs. I've always liked the feel of center shafted putters; good on ya man. The 983K is still a reliable driver as any. Mizuno makes some of my all time favourite irons. I like how you used the recue clubs to replace your three and four irons. Forgiveness in both those clubs is always great. And you chose well with using Vokey Wedges. Always thought they had the most solid feel of any wedge i've tried.

dishwasher
sly_sam replied to sam2011's post in a topic in Out of Bounds: Lifestyle, Luxury, Autos, Hobbies, High Tech GearIf i had a bad dishwasher, yeah, i would do that. Just go up and tell them to put their head on straight and learn how to make a dishwasher. But i never use the dishwasher that i have because i don't have that much to clean. I just do it by hand. Though i've had plenty a run-in with posesed electronics. Once, i had a toaster that bit me. So what do i do? Bite it back, of course.

Mizuno giving a try to making Golf Balls!
I dunno, Mizuno and golf balls just don't sound good together. I love their irons and their wedges, i'm not really sure what to think of golf balls. Their technology may be good, but the bigger name ball brands like Titleist, Nike, and Callaway, will just sell so much more that they may not be able to keep them on the shelves. And don't forget Maxfli and TopFlite, they sell lots too. I could be wrong though, and they could just take off. All i know is that i won't be buying them (considering i get my balls for free).

dishwasher
sly_sam replied to sam2011's post in a topic in Out of Bounds: Lifestyle, Luxury, Autos, Hobbies, High Tech GearListen, I'm wit da Italian Mob and we don't like dishwashers all that muccchh. Give me the adress of da guy that sold it to ya, we'll take care of it. Nah!!! I'm just joking, but you probebly knew that. But seriously, I've never heard of that happenning, ever, in my life. Are you sure that what you had put you dishes in was actually a dishwasher. Sounds like someone may have bugged it and turned it into, like, a bomb or something. Just one quick question: When you bought it, was there anybody in the store that was your mortal enemy? And if so, were they the ones that sold it to you? Take it back right away, and never look at Kitchen-aid again.

Thin shots
Sometimes my ball position will get too far forward. When this happens i have trouble with figuring out how its gonna come off the face. I don't hit my shots thin but will sometimes lose them left and right when its like this. Losing them right is just a delayed release, when i try to fix that, i get a hook. Luckily, i've made these adjustments on the range and am okay now. Ball position is something that can sometimes be over-looked, when you figure it out though you'll get the results, immediately. My suggestion, move it back from left center, to dead center and hit some shots, may feel weird at first but will fit right in after twenty or so balls. You position with your longer clubs will be a bit farther up but don't over cook it. Practice will make you better, but no ones perfect.

futura phantom
I liked the regular Futura Phantom. It was weighted nicely and it had good feel. Scotty was on to something when he decided to make the futura black and silver. The new look works better for the club.

Never Compromise Milled Series
I like the way these putters look. Very appealing with the black grey black design. I like the Milled Series 3. Similar look as my Tracy.
