I still cannot hit a hybid with the precision I hit my J-Spec Taylor Made TP 3U driving iron I bought from Chris a number of years back. But the TP 3U is getting tired and in need of replacement. So, what is/are the best J-Spec driving irons for 2009? Is Fourteen still tops? Whose products are seeing the most usage on the Japanese Tour??? I'm looking for something in the 2-iron/18* range. Thanks.

R7 Forged are much more forgiving than the RAC CBs, for sure. Heck, I've hit plenty of blades that were more forgiving. MP-60s spin a little more than the R7 Forged, R7 has a better sole grind for my swing. The sound/feel tips in favor of the Mizunos. This is compared head-to-head , with Project X shafts.

Count me in. I'll travel to Cali and commit to purchasing a set!

The irons below the first two have two trajectory charts, one noted with a red dot and one with a green one. What does the red & green signify?

I think it's 1 degree open gets you .6 degrees less loft. So the Titleist example above would have an effective loft of 9.8* (2* open X .06 = 1.2* - 11* measured = 9.8*)

R7 Forged still compete with Lehmans for the bag. An excellent iron with surprising forgivingness that still allows me to work the ball when I need to. Really nice with my Project X shafts. I can't see where these can be improved upon outside of Mr. Miura forging them himself.
