So, this Type H 2 is supposed to launch even lower than today's Type H???
  2. Yeah, I've seen that thread. It states "custom grind and bounce." So. I order set of MP-32s and tell Chris I want the "custom grind", how will that be different from stock? There are many ways to grind an iron.....how will Mizuno know exactly what I want unless there is a list of options to choose from. All I'm talking about is grinds that affect how the iron performs...not the cosmetic stuff. What happened to the black?!
  3. What exactly are the different grind options Mizuno offers? Is there a custom order sheet somewhere that shows these?
  4. I have for sale a set of Mizuno MP-27 irons 3-PW with Nippon 1050 Stiff shafts. Shafts installed @ 38" 5-iron by Chip Usher with Tour Velvets logo down. The photos show some bag chatter and minor wear from playing. Note the of iron shown in the closeups is the worst looking of the set....the rest all are in better condition. I will only ship to the continental U.S. and I take PayPal or UPS/FedEx money orders only. The price is $675.00. Please reply to this post with any questions and thanks for looking. :) No trades, thanks.
  5. I used to own that model. Great watch...understated elegance with mechanical perfection. Patek is the best of the best.
  6. Chris, Put me on the list for the new Taylor Made driving iron!!!!

If you like the 950s you most probably will not like the Project X. They are great shafts and I play them, but they are much harsher feeling than the 950s or 1050s.

My MP-27s have virtually the same offset as my buddy's MP-60s.
  9. I have played both. 1050 stiff just hit too high for me but the 1150 stiff are perfect. If you like the feel and your ball flight is fine, stick with the 1050s and hard step. If you want to lower your ball flight and want a more "solid" (yet still soft) feeling shaft, go with the soft-stepped 1150s. Although mine are/were in different heads, I actually hit a club longer with the 1150s than with the 1050s. Ordering a new set of Srixon i505s w/ 1150s cuz i absoutely love the shaft. Just sold my i404s and have been playing my Gold's Factory blades with the 1050s and i just hit it way too high. Ditto, The NS 1150 is the best steel shaft I have hit to date. Before that I was a PX6.0 & soft step X-100 kinda guy, the 1150 will top out at a certain trajectory and the distance gain was on par with the PX shaft. I don't see me using another shaft for long while. My best words to describe this shaft would be a project X that gets up in the air faster, higher, yet will not balloon on you. it almost feels as if my Irons are more forgiving now  I'm assuming you're using X-flex 1150s? Are you getting more spin with the 1150s compared to the Project X 6.0?
  10. Chris, When will be able to order a customized combo-set of MP-32 & MP-60 irons from you? I'm thinking black chrome, heavy heads, Project X. What will the pricing be?
  11. Email pics to [email protected] and I'll post some of them.
  12. No. Club face angle & club path do that.
  13. I have not used this putter since it was restored by Scotty and his team. I do use another one like this one, but it has not been restored(yet). I have not seen mill marks quite like these on any tour camerons.
  14. Listed as # A002538 in the Cameron Registry! See it here: Cameron Registry This is the rare Cameron Tour Coronado with the yellow dots on the face and back that signify "tour only". This putter has been restored to absolute perfection by Scotty and his team and comes with the Cameron C.O.A. certifying this beauty as 100% authentic. The mill marks on this putter are perfect as is the black oxide finish. Putter is 35" in length with the black Baby T grip. Comes with Certificate of Authenticity, new Studio Design headcover, new divot tool, and Cameron polishing cloth. $999.00, no trades thanks. Ebay listing
  15. I'd use a tiny dab of clear caulk material. You only need to secure the weight and the caulk will allow you to pull it/change it in the future if desired. Put it in the back of the port trying not to get it on the sides.
  16. interlap - what is this? A bad joke ;) I strengthen my right hand only to gain that flat left wrist position at the top.
  17. Interlap.
  18. Got to get the square toe, again...looks great. Zero offset. Thinner topline than last set. Heel relief plus narrower soles(tour grind???) and whatever the grind was on the last set. I'm thinking the shiny black finish would be schweet on those heads...I mean really nice! Limited stamps, just "M"(centered low) or "Mizuno"(centered low). Paintfill???...you tell me. Most anything will look good with black, but I would probably go black/black. Heavy heads and be sure to get a 3-iron. Then, when you decide to sell...PM me first!!!
  19. Chris, Please PM me with all of Mizuno's custom grind options and a detail of which grind options were chosen for this set. I think I'm sold on these.
  20. I'm about halfway through and I think the book has helped me understand the golf swing more than any other I've read. Having said that, I think the publisher did a poor job of choosing a co-writer for Hardy. I am constantly re-reading sentences to decifer what he's saying because of poor, vague, or misleading adjectives---makes for slow reading. I don't blame Hardy because he's a golf coach, not a writer. There should have been many more illustrations to help clarify his points, too. Overall, though, a good book about the swing(s).

Joe's right...numbers/results don't make sense. Try hooking up with a PGA pro in your area and getting on a Vector launch monitor. Then call Joe or one of the other excellent club builders on this site for the perfect fit.
  22. 1.375" for the two I had.
  23. I think the grooves on the retails will spin the ball quite well--near to/if not equal to the tours. My tour Spin Milleds are very heavy, raw finished, and custom ground--that'll be the differences.
