  1. Looks strangely familiar....Titleist???
  2. Hmmm...somebody is making a big move to take out Fujikura! Almost sounds like a boycott. Got to be some money changing hands somewhere....
  3. Wow! Congrats, Chris. :D So I could order MP-27s with no offset, square toe, trailing edge & heel relief, mill marks, heavy heads, and new nickle finish with no stamps?!?!.....

Sure, What types of golfers would benefit from choosing which shafts. Fitting? Shaftology---Nippon U.S.A. I agree that Nippon has not made U.S. consumers aware of this website--it should answer most of your questions.

If you'll clarify your confusion a little for me I'll send them an email about it. :) I have not, 997777, but I'd bet Nippon didn't choose some hack to represent them here. ;)

Reply from my inquiry: Thanks for your note. At this years PGA Show last month in Orlando, Nippon Shaft displayed 2 of our newest products. The NS Pro 1150GH . These two shaft represent "bookends" to our current shaft line-up of 850, 950, and 1050. The 1150 is slightly heavier than the 1050, weighing in at an average of 118 grams with special counterbalance weight added in both the tip and the butt sections for a different balance and feel preferred by many stronger players. The NS Pro 750GH shaft bests our 850 shaft as being the world's lightest steel shaft. With a graphite pre-preg over-wrap in the butt diameter, the 750 not only plays great, but looks very chic. Both shafts will be available later this summer. Look for the specs and more information on all our shafts when we unveil our new web-site, also coming this summer. Best regards, Mark Mark J. So the longer shaft has an extra 2 inches of parallel tip section?
  11. Think of R5-N with removeable weights. Jury still out on tour.
  12. Would that be same as the R5 recently released on PGA tour with adjustable weights?
  13. Just had my newly acquired MP-27s with Nippon 1090 Stiffs bounced and the results were interesting. The 5-iron CPM'd 287(5" clamp, Digiflex) and the 8-iron bounced around 300CPM(forgot exact #)....that's an Equalized 3.6 and 4.0 which is Senior(A) flex! I'm glad I was buying for the heads and not the shafts because I'd be ticked if my "new" shafts bounced 2 flexes soft. Really nice feeling shaft and seems to be high quality, but they need to adjust their flex rating/marking system, imo. Next.....Dynamic Gold SL. ;)

Black Max is the new lower cost ball this year. Outperforms B330 in every way. I think they have a winner if the price is discounted enough.
  15. http://www.accragolf.com/seseries.html Might want to take a look at the Accra SE80. The M5 flex is super stout.
  16. Yeah, what was your last good driver setup--head/shaft/tipping?
  17. Not anymore..It's mine now!! Love the *TiNk*.. Pretty good boyfriend to let you have his putter!
  18. This one?: Picture is worth a thousand words.

It's mostly a counter balance shaft. TW mostly spec at Mid To Mid low kick and MW is a Mid To Mid Hi kick point shafts. The heavier the shaft the tighter it gets. Some of this shaft are a awsome shaft for FW. But if tipped properly and at the right style of swing, They are a great shaft for Driver too. Good Luck! Joe  ps: Anyone need this shafts, I still have some in stock. So Joe, If I liked the the 26.3 X-flex tipped 1/2" and MW54 X-flex tipped 1/2" do you think I need a Stiff-flex tipped 1" or so in the TW64 or can I get by with X-flex untipped?
  20. I'm digging that 1/2 shaft offset...PM me when they're buyable. :) grrr...why does it put a smiley with a thermometer when I type a ":" and ")"??????????????????????????

Joe, Try the Cleveland Comp 460! ;)

No offense, but that is a ridiculous price.
  23. It allows manufacturers to avoid making 3 different head weights/shaft lengths of each model putter---extra time/labor involved that costs them money. One putter with adjustable weights allows the buyer to choose his shaft length(by cutting it down) and maintain an acceptable feel(by adjusting head weight.)
