Honma Twin Marks and S-Yard Acroclass as well.. more for bling bling!!! but nothing wrong with that if it performs!!! Good point is that they are tastefully styled which can be said for some domestic brands..

I got UT-85 Reg flex on my Tourstage ViQ 4 Hybrid and it's really good.. Have hit quite a few oem shaft and have had Fuji Banzai.. So far the UT-85 is the best I have tried...

Not doubting whether the Cut Muscle works or not..ONly hit the MP60 at a shop before.. But does anyone have a technical explanation of what the Cut Muscle does??
  5. Looking for 2006 Tourstage ViQ 5 Wood.. Right Handed.. Let me know what you guys have.
  6. Thankx Gocchin.. this is great.. get to see so many irons side by side on address.. I think most guys based their purchases a lot on the looks of the irons at address...
  7. Gocchin, many thankx for counducting these test for us.. I can't afford that many irons to test.. I can drool over them too.. TSG is great to have you here so that us guys that can afford only one set can efficiently narrow the choices down.
  8. Yes, that shape looks like my Mactec NVG2!!! But I guess that it's way more as I got my NVG2 off ebay for $99... But then I shafted mine with an AXIV 6064M and it has proven to be a rocket.. The face is as hot as anything on the market.. but the driver sound is not very pleasing nor it's feel... Hope that Tsuruya will sound and feel better..
  9. Sounds like a great idea! PM me if you ever come visit your parents! Yes, I do like the ViQ Utility.. it beats my existing Taylormade Rescue Hands Down.. If you are trying something else and want to unload your other ViQ Utility.. let me know!
  10. Master: when you come visit your parents.. be sure to bring the Gold and Crews.. I can arrange another shootout.. Gocchin: If you happen to visit west coast, bring your wedges and we can have another shootout.. What me and my buddies have pale in comparison to what you got.. I will try to get some pics up..
  11. Please refer to the previous post I did on the Tourstage Utility comparison.. Same thing, three testers trying out three different 60 degree wedges... The three candidates are: 1) Tourstage X-Wedge 2007 model with True Temper S200 2) Miura Wedge (N.American Edition) with True Temper Seniscore S300 3) Titleist Vokey Oil Can (Old version, not spin-milled) with Accra Steel shaft (my own wedge) I was the main tester on the above wedges... I use the above wedges and flopped 3 balls each, I have a fellow tester count the number of bounces as well as assessing the bite... Cut to the chase, the Tourstage X-Wedge definitely bite the most and settled down quickest, the Miura was second.. Vokey was dead last.. In terms of feel, the Tourstage X-Wedge feels the softest, the ball seems to hang on to the wedge just a touch longer.. the Miura was solid but did not have as much feel as the X-Wedge.. My Vokey was dead-last. FYI, I love Miura Irons.. I used to own a seton MC-101.. I love their feel over Endo Forged Irons (sampled Mizuno and Tourstage)... so I am quite suprised that I prefer the Endo Forged X-Wedges over the Miura Wedge. In terms of sole design, the X-Wedge is superior as well over the Miura and Vokey..I was able to get underneath the ball better with the X-Wedge... Overall, it's Tourstage, Miura then Vokey in that order.. I have been playing Vokeys for the past four years.. I had a chance to acquire Miura wedgess for a steal of a price but at that time I did not feel that the Miuras are clear-cut superior to the Vokeys to warrant a purchase.. I still stand by that assessment. The Tourstage are definitely better and I will be ordering a set when funds permit.. Have not had a chance to see an Epon, Fourteen or Golds wedge in person or hit them.. heard great things about them. I have no idea how the X-Wedge compares to those three.. Just giving my honest opinion on what I have tried.. I am giving my opinion to help fellow TSGers to make informed decisions, not here to hype any product for personal gains (my friend is the owner on the X-Wedge, he is very happy with them and won't be posting them on sale here or fleabay...) Is anybody interested in buying a well-used set of Vokeys?? that will help me fund a set of X-Wedges!! Just kidding
  12. Two of my buddies and I gathered up at the range for a friendly shootout on two Tourstage Hybrids. The two candidates are: 1) Tourstage X-UT 3, 21 Degree with OEM NSPro Steel Utility Shaft 2) Tourstage ViQ 3UT, 22 Degree with Graphite Design Tour AD UT85 Reg. Flex hybrid shaft. The three testers have swingspeeds of 100mph, 95mph and 110mph as verified by radar based launch monitors.. We took turns to hit two balls each using X-UT then ViQ.. The interesting thing is that the X-UT and ViQ are dead on equivalent for distances for all three testers with vastly different swingspeeds... The only consistent difference is that ViQ launches a lot higher then the X-UT..the accuracy of both are dead on if you put a good swing to it.. On address, the X-UT is a lot prettier then ViQ. X-UT is dead square while the ViQ is obviously closed. The feel is a muted solid thud on the X-UT while the ViQ feels like a crisper version of the Talyormade Rescues.. 110mph tester definitely prefer the feel of the ViQ over the X-UT citing that ViQ swings easier and he has to work harder with the X-UT. I (95mph) personally like the X-UT feel more but am perfectly happy with the feel on the ViQ. ViQ seems to have a hotter face imho... The third tester (100mph) commented that the X-UT is more workable then the ViQ. I think Tourstage did a great job designing these as both perform very well.. The Tourstage pair easily surpassed the TM Resuce mid, TM Rescue Dual TP and Adams Idea hybrid we have on hand for comparison.. Just want to share experiences as it's sometimes hard to pluck down your hard earned money without even trying the club.. Rest assured that this is not to hype the product for personal interests.. you won't be seeing a FOR SALE post from me on my ViQ Utility anytime soon In fact, if somebody's got another loft on the ViQ hybrid, I will be interested!!
  13. My buddy, Forte, just purchased a X-Drive 460.. I will compare the sound and feel as compared to my ViQ and report here.. Yes, DFI+ is available in the westcoast for $400CDN.. They ahve a dozen sitting there for over a year and the sales told me that none has ever been sold.. See taht you mention that it's a bomb.. I got curious and tried.. but carbon top is not my thing.. no feel.. ha ha.. To add... the ViQ is the longest Driver I have had.. save for the old old PING Si3.. it was even longer then my TM R7 XR (illegal Hi-COR) Perforamcne+Feel.. that's why everybody goes for JDM equipment here!! Ha ha!!
  14. My ViQ/Tour AD W70 has a tink sound when nailed dead center... Gocchin, Golftown has your Nike DFI+ for sale.. it's carbon top.. I think most Carbon Top Drivers.. FT3 and that other Clevaland all have that muted sound and dead feel.. at least the carbon ones that I have tried.. The BS J33R have more muted sound when struck if I remember correctly.. I have to agree with Gocchin that JDM drivers that I have tried have better feel.. even the TM R7XR had great feel American Brand, Japanese Spec).. Don't know why domestics are not like that..
  15. This is my collection of putters.. Got a SC Futura 33" with matching weights, Ping JAS Anser, Callaway TT3, Golds Factory #2 and a Gauge Premium #0.. Have to say that the Gauge does roll the best compared to all of the above.. But 90% of the time, I play SC Futura as I just ahve so much confidence on that one.. The harshest putter is the JAS Anser (Milled from a chunk of Titanium with tungsten inserts) As for the Gauge Premium#0.. the ball does leave the face quite a bit with little force.. the Golds need a bigger stroke to do the same.. I guess whatever fits your putting style.. If you have habit of leaving the ball short, Gauge will be perfect, if you tend to go over, Golds might be better.. Honestly, the putters I have ain't ultra exotic but ain't too shabby either and I find the craftsmanship all beautiful.. hard to honestly say one is better milled then the other..

I have a magazine where she is using the Bettinardi PX Blade, the one with the adjustable weigth at the back.. I know she use to use a 2 ball white steel..
  17. As these are quite rare.. How would they compare to Miura branded wedges?? in terms of feel?? I am thinking that the shape of these will look like our domestic Cleveland 588 but Is there anything that makes these superior to Miura branded ones??
  18. How do you arrange shipping it back to Gold's for mods?? In addition to applying the mods, does he touch up the putter as well?? Re-shaft and re-grip like Scotty custom shop?? if so, do we send putter head only?? What is the turn-around time?? Bot a used one here through BST and am looking to add sight dot and additional weights on it! On a different note, does anybody use the Choji Oil as recommended by Golds to maintain the finish?? I did some research and it's just a scented mineral oil available in any drug store?? Any details will be greatly appreciated!!
  19. Looking for a pair of 56 and 60 wedge.. Notice that most sets are 52 and 58.. Been playing with that set-up for the last four years, not big on going to different lofts. Wondering if you guys can recommend anything?? Currently playing Vokey Oil Can (older model, not spin-milled) Usually play full shots and pitching with these wedges (I mostly chip with 9 and P/S iron) Considering Tourstage X-Wedge and Fourteen 28V3.. Any other suggestions welcome.
  20. I got ViQ Irons.. Tried it back and forth with the ViQ Forged and the ViQ is way way way easier to hit.. The feel is quite solid.. It does not feel like a typical cast iron (probably due to the rubber inside) The ViQ iron is a game improvement iron but it does not look bulky at all.. it hides it quite well and the top line is reasonably thin for a game improvement iron (not as thin as my miura, similar to a Ping I3+) As for ViQ forged, at address, it looks similar to a ViQ.. I was set on purchasing ViQ Forged but at the end purchased ViQ because i hit them better.. My friend, Forte, has just gotten JPXE500.. their size is very similar to my ViQ at address as well.. have to go to range and try them back to back.. Like the guys before you said.. can't really go wrong with either one.. just make sure the shaft is to you liking.. I think shafts play a big role in the flight of the ball..
  21. I own a custom ordered Tourstage Driver direct from Japan.. Tourstage ViQ 9.5 with GD Tour AD W-70.. I hit the longest drives of my life with that thing.. I can keep up with guys that I usually hit shorter by 20 yards.. no kidding.. I have gone through 14 drivers in the last 4 years and nothing that has beat it for distance (and I have had hi-COR drivers as well) It has a solid feel.. and it sets up perfectly square.. (not to my liking as I fight a slice, I can benefit from a closed face driver) On a different note, I got a ViQ Fwy and it hits bombs as well..
  22. I heard that G-Field and Gauge Design are made in CHINA unless they are marked made in Japan.. Does anybody know?? I am wondering especially in regards to a Green Premium Zone #0.. Thankx!
  23. My current bag is TS ViQ (Driver, Fwy, Irons).. curious on the ViQ Utility woods.. Looking to acquire a Tourstage ViQ Utility to complete the TS Bag. Lofts 19/21/24 all wanted.. Let me know what you have got. Also, Would like to add a 2nd TS ViQ driver to mix things up as well. Current one has been fitted optimally to me by clubmaker using Launch Monitor but am looking for an extra head or complete club to do some shaft ho-ing.. Thankx.
  24. Don't mind me.. What do you do with that tag?? Do you wedge a piece of carboard and put your name on the back side of it?? I have it on my Tourstage bag and I just let it hang there..
  25. Disappointed with THE GOLF CHANNEL and NBC coverage as well.. I only saw one tee shot on Saturday from Miyazato...
