Masda Custom Irons/Epon AF 101/Yamaha FW - Withdrawn!
Yes you may have regretted that one when your shoulder gets better Pete!!!

Matsuyama joins the biggest party in golf!
Yep - the guy flat-out flushes it. Followed him at Pres Cup at Muirfield and his driver face has the smallest "diming" mark on the face I have ever seen on a driver. Don't know how he does it with such a huge pause at the top, but he just doesn't miss.

Daamartins 2 bags full for 2015
Stu Stinger/435 will be built later this week, along with G-Field GFT 16* 4 wood with a Crazy FW-80 7.4. Nice small heavy head that will hopefully keep me out of trouble. Mizzy K75td/Stinger gives great feedback on swing, but it's not as long as the Jbeam 425/ Shingo.....am hoping new driver combo will be best of both.

Daamartins 2 bags full for 2015
Yes TR500 are the best all round irons I have hit. I am really looking after these ones - just a joy to play. The PRGR sole grind just suits my action. I hope PRGR do another limited run like this again. If they do I won't be able to resist!!

Daamartins 2 bags full for 2015
Got another Stinger 73s going into a Jbeam 435 10.25* head. Always looking for Matsumoto putters.....and........there is a 3rd "holiday or visitor bag" being assembled.........that's about it! Fitness and flexibility is the main theme for 2015.

Daamartins 2 bags full for 2015
Thanks Ian! TR500s are best irons I have ever played. I am really looking after this set. And yes, the 500bl set I thought was a really great looking iron, but the TR500 Limited is gorgeous in the flesh - I get many nice comments from playing partners. I can imagine the new PRGR low offset irons play just as well, but I don't think they look as clean in the cavity. My brother has a set too and he loves them.

No surprises that my 2 bags are pretty similar in composition - I suppose after much tinkering I know what works well for me. Right now Bag #1 has the edge for scoring, but only just! Untipped shaft into 3 woods
I am doing this experiment right now, comparing a Crazy Red 80 7.4 (untipped) in a G-Field GF-FW versus a Crazy FW-80 7.4 in a JP Callaway X-Hot Pro head. Both good. Crazy Red setup is tighter and heavier, but goes lower. When I catch it the FW-80 setup is longer, but not as easy to control and get on starting line. Perhaps needs a heavier head? My previous gamer, which I don't quite have the swing speed for anymore, is an untipped Accra SE80* (M5 or x) in Yamaha InpresX 14*. Irreplacable over about 6 years! So there you go - you just gotta try stuff!
-
Untipped shaft into 3 woods
Softer but tighter. Just a bit more give in the tip, but nice straight flight. My bad shot with 3w is left, so going x flex untipped really works for me. Hope this helps!
-
Untipped shaft into 3 woods
Absolutely yes. Have done that several times with x flex shafts in 3w. Works well.

TourStage 909 9.5 with extra adaptor and key
Selling this for my club builder Mike Percival in Brisbane. As new. 9.5*. For this head hard hitters may only apply - it is low and anti-left. Very solid thing with a gorgeous shape. Asking $250 + shipping.

Could you imagine finding this in a barn?

Crazy 450 Limited Driver Head
Sorry, but posts like this don't help anyone. There are Aussies who have frequented this site for longer than most without a blemish or a single "bad seller" rating after dozens of transactions. I have had my fair share of "bad gear" from other international sellers, but deal with these things separately rather than villify and over-generalise/ dump on a whole nation! There are plenty of honest people on TSG (including many Australians). Let's keep it all respectful for those of us who do the right thing!

WTB Driver with Diamana Stinger 60s or 70s
Well I had REALLY better let you know then!

WTB Driver with Diamana Stinger 60s or 70s
I am building one now with a 70s (probably Jbeam 435) Will let you know if experiment fails! D

SOLD - Thanks TSG
I've actually never purchased a really bad "dud" item through members here and would likewise think my buyers have been very happy at the other end. People here generally go to some lengths to highlight blemishes, rock dings, sky marks, messy assemblies, scratches etc. Let's all try and make sure that culture continues!
