  1. TRADED Hello All - Selling my 3-pw 901 Tourstage Blades. They have Nippon Super Peening Orange x flex shafts installed @ 37.75" on the 5 iron. They are in good shape - take a look at the pictures. Grooves are still sharp with no browning on any irons. The up close pics are of teh 7 iron and PW which saw the most action. Grips are Lamkin x10 with plenty of life - although the butt of the grip has a tear on the 8 iron (Hasn't bothered me - only cosmetic - pic included). Not much to say about these that has been said already. If you have the game they are fantastic irons. Let me know if you have any questions. Im looking for $475 shipped in the USA. May entertain shipping out of US at cost of the buyer on a per case basis - please p.m. me. I may also be interested in other players irons with x-flex shafts - Let me know what you have. Thanks for looking.
  2. Thanks Coops - I've looked into that option and I'm still considering it, but I would really like to start with something forged by endo. Anyone played the 705 455cc version. I wouldn't object to playing something that many cc's if the driver was a deep face design and the cc's were well hidden.
  3. Mizuno 611 is incredible from looks and the few reviews I have read, but unfortunately it is not in the budget at the moment. Agree with the adams 9015d comment. I played that and the speedline classic - both exceptional clubs. Personally I find the srixon p420 to be longer and the razr hawk tour (that is also in the bag) to feel better than either of the adams clubs. Anyone else play the PRGR 435 or Tourstage 705 415? I am open to other JDM suggestions as well that are in the 400-435cc range - but keep in mind they would probably need to be a few years old.
  4. Have wanted to try both of these driver for a while. Which should I try first. Will pick one up in the next week or so. Have been playing srixon 420p limited which I like but feel is not the best. I'm thinking one of these endo forged drivers could replace the srixon because of better feel.
  5. Any word on how the new drivers perform - particularly the z725 (425cc) and z925 (380cc). I'm interested in how they stack up to last years z-tx tour p420 which is an absolute bomber. I feel it was one of last years best drivers - I still have it in the rotation.
  6. What shafts in these?
  7. I agree with the royal collection sentiments. They always have a great 3 wood in their rotation, but recently I have been playing the Srixon z-tx with weights (JDM release). I got it on a whim about a 1.5 years ago and it has been in play ever since. 3 woods are very personal, and this is a good fit for my eye. It is plenty long, and more solid than a lot of newer tech 3 woods I have played.
  8. Hello - I picked these up a few weeks ago, and they are beautiful irons. Way better looking than the Razr x MB in my opinion, but the 4 dot higher bounce model is not for my sweeper swing especially on the firm courses i'm playing at the moment. Most of Callaway staff pros and better golfers prefer the higer bounce model because it allows for an aggressive move into the ball without the leading edge digging. This 4 dot version is the same grind as the retail Razr x MB irons and this being the conforming model with v stamp on hosel, they are basicaly the same irons with different graphics. They are in beautiful shape - I would say 8.5 out of 10 but see the pics and come to your own conclusion of condition. The set is 4-pw with kbs tour x and Callaway chevron tour velvet style grips. The grips are like new. All specs are callaway standard. I'm asking $525 shipped in the lower 48. If they are going anywhere else we need to figure out the cost of shipping. I am also open to trades for similar condition blades with lower bounce. I prefer x flex but let me know what you got...
  9. Great... Let me know what you got.
  10. Hello all, I know this is a longshot, but I am looking for a set of excellent condition 2003 x-blade mb's to be my gamers for the next few years. I have been playing these clubs for a number of years, and they are starting to show their age. I thought if anyone would have a set it would be on this forum. I know I can always refinish mine, but I thought I would try this avenue first. Let me know what you've got... John
  11. I gamed the pro 100's for about 2 years with x100's. They are really one of the most underated sets of blades. The only thing that bothered me, whch has already been stated, was the size of the pw. It is big. The thing I liked most about them was the thin sole. I am a picker that makes good contact with the ball, so I like a thin blade with very low bounce. If you have that kind of swing they could be for you. They really are a rarity, because it is hard to find a larger blade with a thin sole. I replaced the pro-100's with the original x-blade mb's. I think the sole on the x-blades is one of the thinnest among newer modern blades, but they are also a lot smaller than the pro-100's.
  12. You need to take into account the epon af101 is fairly neutral, but can be custom ordered with different face angles. The tourstage 901 has an open clubface and is fade biased. The Yonex 450D is close faced and draw weighted. I think any of these clubs would work well with the right shaft depending on the type of shot you like to play, and how you like the clubface at address.
  13. I pm'ed Gocchin about the irons when I saw the pics from address in the 2009 Japan Golf fair pics. Definately my favorite players cavity at the moment b/c of the compact head and almost no offset. They also seem to have more of a boxy toe than tourstage or epon irons (a plus in my book). I also like the dark satin mixed with chrome - very classy. The fact you can get these custom spec'ed from the srixon van just sealed the deal for me - these irons will be purchased within the next month.
  14. I want a clean 9.5* 430p. I may be interested in smaller headed tourstage drivers as well, but really want the 430p. Let me know what you got. John
  15. From posts here and abroad I'm starting to piece together the puzzle - I have gathered that the ev and rombax f series should be very similar shafts: High launch - very low spin (at the weight I'm interested in anway). The MD-7 is mid launch Low spin. Trackman testing on a different site has the spin numbers comparing favorably to the Matrix F7M2. The Ev and F series must be really low spin if the numbers are lower than the MD. I would place the Kai'li in the same category as the MD series, as per Mitsubishi it is a reworked blueboard with tighter tolerances and lower spin (not as low spin as the whiteboard though). Thanks for all the input from everyone who has posted - I wish I could hit all of them, but its just not an option as I live in Bali. I won't be able to see any high end golf gear until I'm in Singapore, and that is a few months down the road.
  16. Thanks for sharing that info. I have heard the MD is more stable at higher swingspeeds. Don't know if this is completely true as it seems many JPGA players currently play the ev. Maybe it is sensitive to tipping. I think I'm leaning towards the MD series unless someone has something stellar to say about the Rombax F. Ha anyone played the Rombax F? I know the MD series has been getting a lot of attention on the PGA recently.
  17. Hello I will be purchasing a shaft in the near future and would like some suggestions before I make my decision. Of these three shafts, GD EV-7x, GD MD-7x, and Fuji 7F09x, which will be the lowest spin. The GD EV series seems to be the hot new shaft, and I know the MD has received great reviews on this sight and others, but how do they compare spin wise to one another and the Fuji F series. It seems the F series doesn't get talked about very much. I have to admit I like it as much for the graphics as the playing characteristics. It reminds me of a blend of 60's pop art and industrial 80's neon. It does however fit my profile at the the weight and flex i'm interested in. Any information that will aid on my decision making process will be greatly appreciated. How do they compare to low spin benchmark shafts - Matrix F7M2 or Diamana Whiteboard? Does Roddio have anything new and interesting in the pipeline? I wasn't a fan of the initial offering, but always thought they had great potential with the 5 weave wrap.
  18. Does the regular nanov 450 perform similarly to the 450d? I would be more interesred in that club with square face and neutral ball flight. It seems strange that the pro model 450d has closed face and draw bias.
  19. Hello All, I would like to sell this putter by the end of this weekend, as I am moving overseas next Friday. Very nice putter in its own right, but the fact it was tuned by golds by adding the tungsten weights and stampings makes it especially cool. I think it is pretty rare to see the tuned putters for sale. 34" length. Weighs 351g after the tungsten was added. Red Iomic grip. This putter is also a candidate for refinishing by golds if you so desire. (I always thought it would look really cool in teflon black) Comes with white Gauge head cover. I will ask $425 shipped in the lower 48 for this one. Thanks, John

Has anyone tried PRGR's new driver offering? I think it looks really nice, and I like the fact that it is supposed to launch lower than the previous 500 series drivers. If anyone one has in fact hit it, how is the launch and performance?
