G-Field Gauge Design Prototype "Exrtremely Rare"
gocchin replied to PGAPro's topic in Japanese Golf Clubs
It's definitely rare as heck. You have the only one in existance... G-Field/Gauge putters are absolutely fantastic... everyone should grab as many as they can... while they can. -

That originally belonged to Tourspecgolfer (it was made for him) then Alpha Pro... (^_^) -
first range report with Epon460 Axiv X7076, X-Model Copper, and GFT
gocchin replied to leepark's topic in Japanese Golf Clubs
Sounds like you had a good session. Golf is all about finding out how the different equipment one chooses becomes a part of their swing... I think you figured some of that out today with the Axiv! Keep it up! ^^ -
Tissues are not necessary, why..... ? Because the putter is already in my possession (which is why it's not available)!! It's very nicely made, from finish to shape to milling. The head is small but heavy. The weight might be throwing me off because the shaft is 35" and I usually use 33" or 34" at the longest. Rolls the ball well and is almost in between an anser and mini mallet with the depth from face to back. I like it. Some shots compared with a Premium Zone #2 for size....

Definitely ugly!!

First Generation ViQ model... I think they were out in early 2005? This model followed the V Series, specifically the 301 irons. Cast and titanium face with turbo rubber insert. Tourstage billed it as large sweet spot and forgiving, game improvement iron.
-
Smaller head than the GAS1 and geared toward the better player, it has some trailing edge relief. Milled face, sharp grooves, massive spin. Beautiful finish. It appears the shiny plated finish holds up better than the matte black from what I have seen.

No sign of my Roddio again today... those boys at customs must have it installed in a head and at the range...

Epon 460 Driver: Conforming vs. Non-Conforming ???
gocchin replied to Z3RO's topic in Japanese Golf Clubs
Besides the difference in COR I don't know if there is anything else. Higher COR supposed to translate into more distance but only at higher swing speeds is it noticable, though some have said the ball will come off hotter off a non-conforming driver. Chris (Tourspecgolfer) may have been the only one here to hit both Epons so I'll let him chime in. -
Trajectory of Epon Technity Driver and 3 Wood.
gocchin replied to Mjr. D's topic in Japanese Golf Clubs
You'd have to definitely get a low launching low torque shaft for the 9.5* driver (unless Chris can get you a lower loft custom). The Epon launches high, not ballooning but on the high side. Blader-X might be able to give you a bit more insight about the 3 wood as I think he has one. He mentioned before that it is a low bullet, which sounds promising for you. (^_^) Epon quality is pretty unmatched. It's all about finding the right fit for you head and shaft wise. Tourstage is also fantastic but they both have quite different feels. -
first range report with Epon460 Axiv X7076, X-Model Copper, and GFT
gocchin replied to leepark's topic in Japanese Golf Clubs
I actually get great roll with my Epon. Carry is so so but then it hits the ground running. I find the face a little deep for my liking as I prefer a shallow head but I love the feel. It seems for most people finding the right shaft is the hard part. -
Pretty much true to flex. The PT series was probably the most popular shaft on the Japanese pro tour last year. Very smooth, good kick and tight dispersion. Launch angle is very good, paired with a 9.5* head around 15* or so with 2400rpm roughly (depending on the head of course).

High M.O.I PRGR Driver Model 502 w/ PICS!
gocchin replied to TourSpecGolfer's topic in Japanese Golf Clubs
I'm considering the Inpres X 460D as well. I'm just flipping through my Golf Gear's now to figure it out... T -
Yeah it probably would be too stiff.
-
They would receive a visit from me for sure... Looks like it has been released from customs though and should be here tomorrow!
-
The shafts just arrived at TSG last week and are only getting put together/sent out now. Give it some time and there will be feedback from at least a few users. I will hit mine Tuesday with the Epon and at least be able to compare it to a Code 6, Axiv, and Diamana Red.
-
Yeah I pray to god they don't open it as the box with the shafts and clubs is worth 20x what you declared.... I don't think they will be laughing.. I certainly won't be if they find it!!! As for the Mach Line shafts this year... very exciting. They will be amazing I am sure and will really give people lots of choices this year...
-
You know it man. I've been blacklisted. All you folks sending me stuff need to declare less than $20. (^_-)
-
Well won't be playing mine this weekend... it's still stuck in customs!! Dammit!
-
Damn you're right... I guess it was just wishful thinking that my W5BA had white!!! (^_^)

High M.O.I PRGR Driver Model 502 w/ PICS!
gocchin replied to TourSpecGolfer's topic in Japanese Golf Clubs
This is supposed to be a very forgiving and long driver. I've been told by users in Japan that it is very very easy to hit, especially if you find that your misses on the face of the driver are towards the heel or toe. I miss this way and I'm considering getting either this or the ViQ MX as a back up to the much deeper faced Epon 460... depends on which Chris tells me is more forgiving, the MX or 502. ^^ -
If you guys looked in the Pro Shop you would see that all the models are two tone, BA one side white and blank the other colored with logos. WA is silver and blank and the other colored and logos. Initial reports from most magazines is that the shaft is one of the best, as shown in the shaft shootout I posted on Inpakuto. Mid kickpoint resulting in optimal launch angles and really really good distance (beat Axiv V in the shootout by 14 yards with identical head) I won't be able to play mine till this weekend.

Pentacross refers to the 5 weave pattern that Roddio uses for it's shafts. Penta=Five. W-5BA is mine too!
