  1. I added the egg Utility face profile and address pic to the first post... its like a driving iron with no offset but a huge ass sole and rounded leading edge.
  2. Started testing out the new egg UT today, shot a couple of pics and posted in the first post, will take more later today.
  3. I've contacted this member via email to be sure he replies all of you. Please wait for my findings.
  4. Not very flat unfortunately! 60*! but the shorter length helps. 42.5" for 15* and 41.5* for 18*.
  5. Added more photos to the first post. Stew, it is heavier than eggs of past, with the upgrade fubuki 75, around 335g I think. Stock shaft is light though and tips in around 315g.
  6. I've already hit the driver... performance like the Jbeam 435, ie powerful launch and lots of run but better feel and pop off the face. I used the Touale and it actually helped lower my ball flight and straighten it out. The Ravie was more like the RoyDeco and really for the smoother slower swinger. Messanger fantastic all around.
  7. Added an address pic to the first post. Michael, this time around only a 15*. No 13 or 17 like in the past. They also shortened the length to 42.5" for more solid ball striking.
  8. Everyone who knows JDM knows the egg is one of the greatest ever, you, me , craig we all still own the original... cause we know... (^_^) People are going to miss out on the Onoff Labo... after I ordered yours they told me its almost sold out!!
  9. No shallow face this time... it's deep! Am doing a photo shoot this afternoon... only had time to shoot that one shot above before going to get groceries!
  10. New egg lineup showed up today... fist pic! I will add photos over the next few days to this first post.... Edit: here is the face... no shallow egg spoon face this time around! Edit: here it is at address... seems more compact, most likely because the face is taller so more mass is up front and does not need to be stretched out back. Edit: I can confirm it is a smaller head at 138cc vs 165cc for past models! 135cc is small! Edit here are some more angles: Edit: Started shooting the new egg Utility today... yes weights in the back, even wider sole! Edit: added face profile and address for the Utility!
  11. I have more photos from the factory and a test session we did did together at the range but will share those later!
  12. Every one was a custom order... take 6 weeks so nobody has them yet!
  13. It was kind of a secret but now that its out in the open I can mention that TRPX is a brand that we are currently working with. <!-- This version of the embed code is no longer supported. It has always been Abe-san's dream to form his own shaft company so he began Triple X which goes by TRPX a high performance shaft company that uses only high modulus carbon. I dropped by their head office in Shinjuku on Tuesday to find out the scoop behind the company and it's products. Abe-san was originally the one who Chris dealt with when we started dealing with Crazy a few years ago, so he was more than happy to talk about the possibility of working with TSG again. I snapped a few photos below of ABEX and superimposed them on some graphics from TRPX. The key behind TRPX is quality and design. Every shaft is of course designed by ABEX and made of high modulus carbon using a new design ABEX dubs HPI or high power impact (more on this later). TRPX is small so the focus is on lesser quantities with higher quality. The Factory consists of 4 craftsmen... thats right 4 people. One person doing each job in the creation of a shaft. One managing carbon prepreg, one doing hand rolling of the shafts, one doing a thorough quality control and spec check and one doing painting of the shaft. They released their first shaft models back in June the 50t Messenger, the 40t/46t combo Ravie and the 46t Touale. I will go into more detail on these once i get our test shafts but as the table notes, the Ravie is an ultra light 50g distance shaft for slower swingers. The Touale is a lighter weight mid 50g shaft for slighty faster swingers. The Messenger is a 60+ gram all around shaft. These first 3 shafts are not ultra stout, they play on the softer side (if you compare to Crazy) and are made to provide max feel and max distance. They are about to release a new 70g model targeting stronger players and harder and faster swingers called the X-Line Series which we think a lot of TSG customers will like. Another exciting aspect of TRPX is their connection to J-Beam. J-Beam's founder and ABEX go way back and are close friends so when JBeam found out ABEX was doing his own brand they immediately collaborated in creating an ORIGINAL driver for TRPX. The TRPX driver is available in two flavors as I note below and looks hot. (by the way I should note ABEX was pretty happy with the photos I took of him (^_^)) S-013 Shallow version below (which actually looks pretty deep!) Needless to say we are very excited about this and we expect ABEX and TRPX to come up with some awesome stuff including the new hard hitter/athlete golfer model 50t X-Line next month. Please note as ABEX pointed out to me, while the shafts are not limited editions, we should treat them that way due to the limited quantity they can produce. ABEX has hand picked a very small number of enthusiast and hardcore craftsman type golf shops in Japan to carry TRPX. He only wants to deal with the hardcore.. no chain stores or big shops. The company will remain small with a focus on quality and performance. Limited supply due to a focus on manufacturing detail. I already did a tour of their factory and met all their staff, who are top notch shaft specialists and craftsmen. Everything is done by hand and meticulously produced to ensure perfectly round and consistent shafts. We are just ironing out a few finer details before we officially announce their availability here. We've even begun testing the new athlete X-Line and feedback from other craftsmen and enthusiast stores are very positive as is with all TRPX shafts, especially on quality and performance consistency. So stay tuned!
  14. I didn't have the flat backs here when I shot those pics but my first impression was in fact that these are thinner than the flat backs... these are VERY thin.
  15. That is awesome! Great job! Thanks a lot for sharing!
  16. I live in Japan and golf clubs is my job and its the first time I have ever seen these!!
  17. On holidays but... the new driver has nothing to do with George Spirits or George Takei, its internals are redesigned by Crazy and the head is not produced in the same place as the original. Why they decided to keep the same look is beyond me besides that they have always touted it as their favorite head. The driver and LY01 gave Craig the best numbers though I must say his backspin no matter what the shaft and head was ALWAYS 1500 to 2000 RPM.
  18. Thanks everyone for the well wishes... you are all a pleasure to work with and you are what make the community a fun place to be. Appreciate the messages! (^_^) Now for a few days off with the family!
  19. J, above and beyond golf clubs I am a major tech and gadget nerd... long before I was a golfer.
  20. Jeff can you email me some pics at gocchin @ tourspecgolf.com please?
  21. Okay this is probably a long shot but... I am looking for a trade for.... a Rangefinder! Not playing my Ryoma F5 18* with Tour AD SR Flex stock shaft so its up for trade. In very good condition with original head cover. Will trade for a recent model, rangefinder, preferably a Bushnell V3 (slope would be nice) or a Leupold GX2i or something equivalent.... No need to offer up clubs... I can get any club pretty easily (^_^) Only other things I would consider are a Macbook Air with at least an i5, 4gb and 128GB or a Sony A99 Body both of which I can top up with clubs or cash... (^_^)
  22. Retail for a head is 280.00 and that includes custom stamping and offset.
  23. We should have them in the shop soon once they begin shipping. I think specs are similar to the raw flat backs and price is the same.
  24. Unlike the old one that was made for them by George Spirits and the other CRZ models from Jbeam, this one is their own. As for which factory... I don't know... yet but they do say its made in Japan.
