  2. At those prices, I guarantee you the dealer will LOSE money. That's why I would make sure that is the price he is actually quoting you. Also a certificate from Miura Japan is not possible for the BB's... the BB's are not a Miura Japan model. If those truly are the price of the Epon's you certainly are getting one hell of a deal and I would not hesitate to grab them as they are great irons I think you would be very happy with. Definitely lucky at that price!! (^_^)
  3. If I am not mistaken that is 920.00 USD? For 3-PW with PXI shafts? I don't think that is possible as 5-PW with standard steel shafts like DGS200 retail for 1500.00 over. With PXi and 3-PW, well over 2000.00 USD or 1573 Euros...
  4. Thats exactly how I described them... smaller than the cavity but with CG and forgiveness similar to the CB model. Workability and added spin control due to the grooves and changed milling pattern I think they look great and I am glad they are not chrome. (^_^)

While the "large" and size is subjective, if you can hit Miura Baby Blades in your sleep then definitely the AF302 as compared to the Miura the AF502 while not large by any means will seem large and they are a tad larger than the AP2 blade length wise. Have you considered an AF302 and AFTour combo... thats a popular choice... The AF302 in the long irons are very forgiving and easy to launch... If you need Epon in the Netherlands we can ship there with no problem....

  7. Alex, you can still order but I don't know how much longer the irons will last... they were 75% sold out before the annoucement even so email me if you need... or should I say want... (^_^)
  8. Price has been on the first post since this thread was made... we've been taking orders since then. They are almost sold out and most likely will be soon now that they are officially announced. Another shot of the wedge... this is more clean...
  9. There is a bit too much writing on the blade but it's their fault for having such a long name Yamaha Inpres X V Forged Tour Model - all that is on there! (Yamaha on the neck I presume as usual). I think its shape is quite nice..
  10. The blades are 27* 5 iron and 60.5* lie (PW 62.5*!)so reasonably flat I would say?

  13. The face milling on the wedges are very interesting... different patters on the outside, and following down the grooves towards the leading edge.

  20. They have an actual launch event here in Tokyo... it has to happen first before they release the product info.
  21. Its a step a way from recent Tour AD's over the last few years. They tried to create a new shaft with great balance so what results is maybe the Tour AD with the best kick of the last few years. Stiff butt, medium center, slightly softer tip for more action and more feel of the head, hence the bigger rush through impact. If we were to compare the recent models and their stiffness profiles with 4 being the stiffest and 1 being the softest: GT Tip: 1 Center: 2 Butt: 4 Bend Point: Between tip and center BB Tip: 3 Center: 4 Butt: 1 Bend Point: Between center and butt DJ: Tip: 4 Center: 1 Butt: 2 Bend Point: Just above center towards the butt DI: Tip: 2 Center: 3 Butt: 3 Bend Point: Just below center towards the tip Gives a bit of idea of how each shaft performs and feels

    That is pretty good research. As we all know Epon (Endo) is a forging house that specializes in the steel industry and creating the softest forged clubs in golf. So when they decided to add a golf ball to their brand, they went on the hunt for a rubber or golf ball company that could manufacture a premium ball to Epon's specs. One of the keys for Epon was that this ball would be a top performer AND be reasonably affordable so this eliminated Japanese rubber companies like Bridgestone, Dunlop, Yokohama as we all know how expensive top premium JDM balls are ie 100.00 over for a dozen balls. So they approached Foremost Taiwan who had the X3 and X4 balls which were proven performers against many top tour balls. Epon was also aware that Foremost has had experience producing top tour balls for top US brands, some of which are named in this very thread. Epon looked at the X3 and X4 designs and test results and had Foremost tweak the balls and change their designs slightly to meet Epon specs. Hence the Epon Tour F3 and F4 were born. You see in the link the performance of the Foremost and Epon says the F3 and F4 perform on a similar level . We've never tried the Foremost so are unsure how different they are or what has been changed but so far we have been pretty happy and impressed with the Epon balls.

    If MRC makes Crazy then I have no idea what is going on in that Crazy factory full of employees rolling carbon sheets.... curing them and then finishing them. They may be confused with MRC supplying carbon sheets/material,,, but that is a huge difference between supplying materials and actually producing the shafts. Quadra is another supplier of Carbon sheets as well but MRC is probably one of the bigger carbon producers. I actually have a call with Crazy tomorrow and will ask who supplies their materials.

    Mitsubishi making Crazy?? That is the first time I have ever heard that! Maybe Crazy makes makes the Diamana X since its Mitsubishi's first real move into high modulus carbon? (^_^) Truth is MRC and Crazy have no relationship at all. Crazy is run by a bunch of very hardcore enthusiasts more like you and I. MRC is a huge carbon fiber and composites company that goes far beyond golf. They have very different mindsets as well as manufacturing techniques and philosophies. Crazy is growing very quickly and when it comes to their high modulus shafts, are designed and manufactured 100% in house. All their research and development and testing are performed by their long drive competitors and golf pros. They have a huge huge enthusiast following in Japan which has allowed them to grow so quickly.
